Families Helping Families = Mission: To enable and empower Louisiana families of individuals with special needs through an effective coordinated network of Resources, Support, and Services. Louisiana Assistive Technology Access Network (LATAN) = A non-profit organization that assists all individuals with disabilities in Louisiana who need assistive technology. Louisiana State Planning Council on Developmental Disabilities = Council’s Mission: To ensure all individuals with disabilities benefit from supports and opportunities in their communities so they achieve quality of life in conformance with their wishes. Louisiana Citizens for Action Now!(LaCAN) = A statewide grassroots advocacy organization that advocates for in home supports and services for Louisiana citizens with developmental disabilities. Louisiana Statewide Independent Living Council A group of individuals appointed by the Governor to oversee the delivery of Independent Living Services to persons with disabilities throughout the State of Louisiana. Governor's Office of Disability Affairs = Mission Statement: To promote the rights and opportunities for persons with disabilities in the State of Louisiana. LA Advocacy Center = A non-profit organization designated as the Protection and Advocacy System for Louisiana. It provides educational, referral, training and legal services to persons with disabilities and senior citizens. |
