Families Helping Families = Mission: To enable and empower Louisiana families of individuals with special needs through an effective coordinated network of Resources, Support, and Services. Louisiana Assistive Technology Access Network (LATAN) = A non-profit organization that assists all individuals with disabilities in Louisiana who need assistive technology. Louisiana State Planning Council on Developmental Disabilities = Council’s Mission: To ensure all individuals with disabilities benefit from supports and opportunities in their communities so they achieve quality of life in conformance with their wishes. LA Advocacy Center = A non-profit organization designated as the Protection and Advocacy System for Louisiana. It provides educational, referral, training and legal services to persons with disabilities and senior citizens.
