A MESSAGE TO THE READER As you are reading this book please understand that its purpose is not to condemn you, nor to discourage you from living a Christian life. On the contrary, it was written as a wake up call for God's people. It was written to stir your soul to seek the face of God to follow on to know the Lord Jesus Christ in Spirit and in truth. God has given us a message: and that message is JESUS. That message is for us to behold Jesus, the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world. That message is for us to return to Him with our whole heart. And as you read this book, I ask you to open your heart, not your mind. Open your spiritual ear, not your natural mind; and lean not unto your own understanding. For it was not written in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but what the Holy Ghost teaches. I make no claims of infallibility regarding the contents of my book. But I am fully persuaded that God's anointing was upon me when writing most if not all of it. And I give Him all of the credit and glory for any good thing that may come out of it. Every chapter of this book contains scriptures from the King James Bible. Why the King James Version? Because it is the most accurate and uncontaminated translation of God's Word there is tracing back to the original Holy text. I have directly quoted or paraphrased scripture in practically every paragraph: and it is the scriptures that are speaking. And all scripture is given by inspiration of God. No prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Certain things in this book will no doubt offend some people. The truth is not always easy to accept: but, the truth will always set you free. PREFACE Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord (IIpet.1:2). He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?(mic.6:8). Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil (ecl.12:13-14). The Lord is near unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth (psa.145:18). Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near: let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord (is.55:6-8). The kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man has found, he hides, and for joy thereof goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field (mat.13:44). The reader is advised to use prayer and wisdom when applying this information to his or her own life. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE ~ Chapter One ~ He That Has An Ear, Let Him Hear He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches (rev.3:22): For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life (prv.6:23). Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee (dut.8:5). And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth (heb.12:5-6). As many as I love I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore and repent (rev.3:19). Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment (Icor.1:10). Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching (heb.10:25). Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine (IItim.4:2,3). The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise. He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility (prv.15:31-33). A wise man once said that there is one thing that is more powerful than the word of God: and it is man's traditions. Who was that wise man who said this? none other than Jesus Christ himself. Jesus said that we make the word of God of no effect through our traditions. Almost every time God begins a work through man, man turns it into a tradition and it becomes just another religion. It is high time we give up our traditions and get back to the pure word of God and return to our first love (mrk.7:13;rev.2:2-5). God is calling his people to return to the Apostles doctrine and to return to the book of Acts Holy Ghost. These days it seems that just about any old way will do with some people. But I'm hear to tell you that God is raising up a holy church without spot and without blemish, a peculiar people, a holy people. God is restoring the book of Acts Holy Ghost today to a people who are returning to him, a people who will humble themselves and pray and draw nigh to God with their whole heart (dut.14:2;jer.29:13;eph.5:26-32; jam4:8-10). We are exhorted and admonished by the word of God to be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment, and not to forsake the assembling of ourselves, but to continue in the faith with one accord. Preaching to a brother or sister in the Lord does not mean that you are condemning them. Sometimes they may not like it, but reproofs of instruction are the way of life (prv.6:23,is.58:1,Icor.4:14-16,IItim.4:2,3,heb.12:11). God uses his word to comfort us and encourage us. God also uses his word to rebuke us and correct us. But this modern "Christian" church-world today will not receive correction from God. They are too busy accusing or else excusing one another (rom.2:15). Some church goers and some church leaders today are stiff- necked and dull of hearing (act.7:51,heb.5:11-14). When God sends a prophet or a preacher through the land with His word and you don't receive it, when you reject that man of God you reject God (matt.12:30,luk.10:16,Iths.4:8). Some people say, "It doesn't matter where we go to hear God's word because God is everywhere and as long as we confess Jesus as our saviour and go to church we are doing God's will." But that is simply not true. That is simply not sound doctrine. Because Jesus told Jerusalem, "Behold, your house is left unto you desolate..."(luk.13:35). And this is only one example of where the Spirit of God no longer resides. And Jesus said that he is going to spue us out of his mouth if we don't repent and return to sound doctrine, true holiness (jer.6:16-17;rev.3:16). God has blinded Israel's eyes unto this day because they rejected His prophets. God took his Spirit from his people and turned to the Gentiles, the sinners, because his own people wouldn't hear his voice. And this is exactly what is happening today with some churches. For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee (is.44:18;65:1,2;Jer.14:11-14;rom.11:8,21). "I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me." God said (Jer.35:15). "Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men."(Is.29:13). "Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God."(Is.58:2). "Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God."(Jer.5:4). If a servant of God does stand up and tell these modernized worldly- minded Christians that sin is sin (jhn.8:34,luk.13:3), and that participating in the customs of the world and keeping the traditions of men is abomination to God [that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God (luk.16:15)-- the customs of the people are vain (jer.10:3)-- you shall not do so unto the Lord your God (dut.12:30,31)], they think it strange that you run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you (Ipet.4:4). If you don't go along with them in their worldly ways of worshiping Jesus, and if you try telling them the truth, they think you are the strange one. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him (tit.1:16). For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth; proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (eph.5:9-11). This modern church bunch does not reprove sin, it excuses sin. Jesus said, "Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin."(jhn.8:34). He said, "Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven..." (mat.7:21). Just because you confess Jesus Christ as your personal saviour does not mean that you are saved. He said to be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves (jam.1:22). He said, "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."(mat.7:22,23). There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness (prv.14:12;30:12). Jesus said, "I go my way, and you shall seek me, and shall die in your sins..."(jhn.8:21). Search the scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life (jhn.5:39). No man can serve two masters (mat.6:24). He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy (prv.28:13). The majority of people calling themselves Christians now-a-days are covering their sins. Very few are confessing their sins: and even fewer are confessing and forsaking them. Many are using the grace of God as a license to sin. Some of us are using God's mercy as an excuse to do something wrong; not knowing that the goodness of God leads us to repentance and true change (psa. 55:19,rom.2:4). We want to hear that Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith; but don't want to hear that if any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy (eph.3:17,Icor3:17). "Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin." They say to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things (is.30:1,10). Most church folks today want to be patted on the back. Most love the praise of men more than the praise of God. Most receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that comes from God only (jhn.5:44;12:42,43). They don't want to be rebuked. They don't want to be reproved. They don't want to be chastised. They want to reign with Christ; but don't want to suffer with him (rom.8:17,IItim.2:12). Jesus said, "As many as I love I rebuke and chasten..."(rev.3:19). Modern worldly-minded Christians don't want to be told the truth. They want to hear good words and fair speeches -- smooth things (jer.5:3,30,rom.16:18,is.30:10). They want to hear, He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much; but don't want to hear, He that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much (luk.16:10). They'll recite John Three Sixteen, but ignore Revelation Three Sixteen. They want to hear that whosoever believes in Jesus should not perish; but they don't want to hear not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake, bearing his reproach (jhn.3:16,phl.1:29,heb.13:13). Paul said, "Having the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me."(phl.1:30). Be a partaker of the afflictions of the gospel. We are appointed to these afflictions (IItim.1:8, Iths.3:3). The word of God brings deliverance: it brings life. The word of God also brings reproach, persecution and division. Because the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit... and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (heb.4:12). Jesus said, "Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you nay; but rather division..."(luk.12:51). "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword."(mat.10:34). Almost everywhere Jesus went he caused division among the people (jhn.7:43;9:16;10:19). If you preach God's word without compromising it many hearts will be pierced. Some people will be convicted and feel remorse and receive the word. Others will be offended and reject the word. This is the sword of division that Jesus is telling us about which is sharper than any twoedged sword: the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (eph.6:17). The true sword of the Spirit, the true word of God, brings together and divides at the same time. This is the reason that the Church in the Bible was persecuted in the same manner and to the same extent that Jesus was persecuted: and this is why the few true churches today are suffering persecutions. God's people today don't want to suffer these persecutions. It is easier to compromise with the world, to compromise God's word and be accepted by their congregations; than it is to cry aloud, spare not, lift up your voice like a trumpet and show my people their transgression and the house of Jacob their sins (is.58:1). Jesus said how can you believe His truths, you which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that comes from God only? (jhn.5:44). And before honour is humility (prv.15:33). Paul said, "Do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."(gal.1:10). That's the trouble with some of us: we don't want to offend anyone; so we are trying to win people over to Christ through compromise, and in doing so we are making them twofold more the child of hell than ourselves, by making proselytes, i.e., religious sinners (mat.23:15). Some of us are more concerned with making religious converts than saving souls. Many church gatherings and "Christian" fellowship meetings today are little more than social gatherings designed to ease the conscience, please the flesh and or satisfy the stomach. God warned us that the time will come, and now is, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables (IItim.4: 3,4). Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart, and have departed, from the faith, giving heed to [religious] seducing spirits, and [religious] doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth (Itim.4:1-3). This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come, and have come. For men shall be, and are, lovers of their own selves... proud... lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of Godliness but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (IItim.3:1,2,4,5). For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple (rom.16:18). But you have not so learned Christ; if so be that you have heard him and have been taught by him as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that you put on the new man which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (eph.4:20-24). Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature [or creation]: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new, and all things are of God (IIcor.5:17,18). Why don't most of these churches today have what the Church in the Bible had? has God changed? With great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus (act.4:33). The Lord working with them and confirming the word with signs following (mrk.16:20). Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever (heb.13:8). "I am the Lord, I change not..."(mal. 3:6). Jesus said, "I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."(mat. 28:20). God has not changed! If we don't have what the early Christians had, it's mainly because we don't have the dedication that they had; and it's because we don't want the hardships that come with it. We don't want to deny ourselves and take up our crosses daily (luk.9:23). We don't want to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God (rom.12:1). We don't want to get into our prayer closets and pray for even one or two hours, much less all night long (mat.6:6;26:41,mrk.1:35;14:38,luk.6:12;21:36,act.6:4). We don't want to be ridiculed and made fun of. We don't want to be mocked and persecuted. We don't want to be reviled, or to be evil spoken of. We don't want to be rejected. We don't want men to hate us and separate us from their company and cast out our name as evil for Jesus' sake: we don't want our so called "Christian" brothers to hate us or separate us from their company (mat.5:11,luk.6:22, is.66:5). Are we somehow better than Jesus? He said, "If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you..."(jhn.15:20). Paul said, "We are the children of God... if so be that we suffer with Him."(rom.8:16,17). Suffer what with Him? Self denial, sacrifice and persecution. The true gospel of Jesus Christ brings persecution (IItim.3:12). Paul said, "Wherein I suffer trouble as an evil doer..."(2:9), "By evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true..."(Icor.6:8). Paul was called crazy because he prayed and stayed in the word so much (act.26:24;6:4,gal.1:16-18). Even Jesus himself suffered rejection and was called crazy, not only by his enemies, but by his own friends (mrk.3:21). His own siblings didn't believe in him (jhn.7:5). If you are trying to live a holy and dedicated life like the Bible teaches, then you too will suffer rejection, reproach and persecution. If you don't like persecution and rejection, then you don't want to follow this Jesus (IIcor.12:9-10,IItim.3:12-13). If you be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are you; for the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified (Ipet.4:14). God's holiness is almost a thing of the past. True holiness is gone by the way side: but without it you will not see the Lord. The Bible says that without holiness no man shall see the Lord (heb.12:14). God's word in both the Old and New Testament says that if a man lie with a man as he lies with a woman, or woman with woman: it is abomination (lev.20:13,rom.1:24-27)-- The woman shall not wear that which pertains to a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord your God (dut.22:5)-- We are not to pierce our bodies, nor print any marks on our flesh (lev.19:28): because all of this is of the world and not of God, and doing so is contrary to God's word. Some might ask, "How do we know what is God's word and what is not?" Jesus said that if any man will do God's will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God, or whether it is of man (jhn.7:17). If you are not sure that this is God's word (the Authorized K.J.V. Bible), it is because you are not doing His will, but your own will. Peter wrote about modesty, about wearing of gold or jewelry and of putting on of apparel (Ipet.3:3). Godly modesty has taken a back seat to worldly fashion with this dress as you please attitude among many in the "Christian" religious community today. Paul taught that if a man have long hair it is a shame; and if the woman be not covered let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered. Paul said, "But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God."-- the true Church that is (Icor.11:6,14,16). Concerning the hair, some might ask, "How long is long? and how short is short?" Concerning modesty and holiness, and the faith of God, some might say, "Let your conscience be your guide." But the Bible said to let the word of God be your guide. "Let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That you might be justified in your sayings, and might overcome when you are judged." wrote Paul (rom.3:4). And Jesus said that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned (mat.12:36). Whether you know it or not we are going to give account of all the things we are telling people it's "OK" to do. Then Jesus said that when the Spirit of truth is come into you he will guide you into all truth, and he shall teach you all things (jhn.14:26;16:13). So, let Jesus who is the Spirit of truth and who is the word of God convict you and guide you in all things (jhn.1:1,14;6:63;14:6,18). And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made (gen.2:3). From the very beginning God separated the seventh day and made it sacred and holy for a reason. Keep the sabbath day holy: in it you shall not do any work (ex.20:8, 10). The sabbath is the last day of the week, not the first (gen.2:2-3). Today, many of these churches celebrating it on the first day of the week don't even believe their own teachings, because they are running around doing their chores and having their fun on that day. Jesus said, "The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath..."(mrk.2:27). Jesus never excused us from keeping the Sabbath. We are making our own excuses. The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath to do his own ways and his own pleasures on God's holy day (is.58:13). If, however, some are truly keeping the first day of the week or any other day of the week holy , believing it to be the sabbath and not knowing any different, I believe that God is honoring our sacrifice until we come into a deeper knowledge of His word (luk.12:48, rom.14:5,IIcor.8:12). If we don't have to keep the sabbath day holy, then we don't have to honour our fathers and mothers. And if we don't have to do either of these, then we can lie, steal, commit adultery and kill too. But, that's not right and you know it. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if you commit no adultery, yet if you kill, you are become a transgressor of the law (jam.2:11). If you were told that you don't have to keep the sabbath, then it certainly wasn't God speaking. When Jesus said to deny yourself and take up your cross daily (luk.9: 23), and to do unto others as you would have them do unto you (mat.7:12), and to love your enemies (mat.5:44), and to love your neighbor as yourself (mat.22:39), and to forgive one another (luk.6:37,mat.18:35,mrk.11:26) (not rendering evil for evil, but contrariwise blessing (Ipet.3:9), these weren't suggestions: these are commandments (jhn.15:12)! The true Holy Ghost leads you to apologize to and be reconciled with your brothers: "...and all you are brothers." Jesus said (mat.5:24;23:8). The true Spirit of Jesus causes you to forgive everyone with your heart as well as with your mouth (mat.18:21-35). He causes you to forgive in deed, not just in word (luk.6:35,Ijhn.3:18). This is true holiness without which no man shall see the Lord (heb.12:14). Living holy does not cause you to be saved, but being saved causes you to live holy (eph.4:20-24,IIcor.5:17-21). Shun, avoid, stay clear of profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness (IItim.2:16). Some of us talk like the world, dress like the world and act like the world and call ourselves Christians: Jesus said he is going to spue us out of his mouth (rev.3:16,jgs.16:20). If you say you know Him and don't keep His commandments the Bible says you are a liar (Ijhn.2:4). ~ Chapter Two ~ The Good Seed And when [Jesus] had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are chocked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. (luk.8:8-15). God's people in the early church knew their God and were strong and did exploits (dan.11:32,act.). They brought forth Jesus (gal.2:20)-- the word of God (jhn.1:1)-- the good seed (luk.8:11)-- the early rain (hos.6:3,jol.2:23, hag.2:9)-- the man child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron (rev. 12:5)[As I live saith the Lord God, surely with a mighty hand and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out will I rule over you. And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: and I will purge out from among you the rebels and them that transgress against me (ezk.20:33,37,38)]. Many church folk, or "Christians", now-a-days don't want to be ruled over. They refuse to pass under the rod. Most think that they can take as much or as little of God's word as they want and leave the rest, thinking, "Well, that doesn't apply to me." But listen to what those that pass under the rod have done and will do: these that have turned the world upside down (act.17: 6). They did the very works of Jesus, just like he said his believers will do (jhn.14:12). They spoke as Jesus spoke (luk.4:32,act.4:13,29-31). Their words were with power and authority-- God's authority (mrk.13:34)-- the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. Which faith we are exhorted to earnestly contend for (jud.3). Jesus said to strive to enter in (luk.13:24), and to take it by force (mat.11:12). Here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus (rev.14:12). In the book of Acts people were saved under the anointing (act. 10:44-48); people were healed under the anointing (5:16); people were raised from the dead under the anointing (9:36-41;20:7-12); people also dropped dead under the anointing (5:5-10). He's the same God today that he was then. The Lord knows the thoughts of man: not a single thought can be hid from him: he reveals the deep and secret things -- good or bad (psa.94:11,job.42:2, dan.2:22,ecl.12:14). The Lord is a God of mercy and a God of judgment: he is a just God. "Thus saith the Lord... let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord which exercise loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord."(jer.9:24). These are they which follow Jesus wheresoever he goes (rev.14:4), not just to church and back -- back to the cares of life. The cares of this world choke the word and you become unfruitful. The cares of life restrict God and you bring no fruit to perfection. Paul said, "I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings..."(phl.3:8,9,10). We want to fellowship with Jesus' resurrection, but we don't want to fellowship with his sufferings. You can't have one without the other. Jesus said, "The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub [the Devil], how much more shall they call them of his household? Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed; and hid that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak in light: and what you hear in the ear, that preach upon the housetops."(mat.10:24-27). Jesus said, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me."(luk.9:23), "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it."(mat.16:25). You must lose your natural way of life daily in order to find your life in God. Paul said, "I die daily."(Icor.15:31), "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."(gal.2:20). And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts (5:24). Very few religious people today are losing their lives daily to follow Jesus wheresoever he goes: to follow him into the very depths of God: that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God (Icor.2:12). For since the beginning of the world eyes have not seen, nor ears heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him. "But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit" writes Paul, "for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God."(is.64:4,Icor.2:9,10). Jesus said that the reason why we are not going into the depths of God, the reason why we are not bringing the fruit of his word and work to perfection, is because when we have heard his word, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life (luk.8:14). "But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God." Paul explained (gal.2:17). Likewise reckon also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness (rom.6:11;8:10). When you receive Jesus in your heart your sinful nature dies: your flesh with the affections and lusts are crucified with Christ. It is Jesus in you that overcomes sin. You didn't overcome a single sin in your life: Christ in you overcame that sin (jhn.8:31-36;16:33, col.1:26-28). Paul wrote about the body, the mind, and the spirit. Paul said that while he served the law of God with his mind, he was still held captive to the law of sin. But he said that when he started walking after the Spirit of God with his spirit, when he started living and walking in the Spirit with his spirit, when he grew up in Christ and became mature in spirit sin didn't have dominion over him anymore. Paul was not writing an excuse to sin, as some would like to believe; rather he was explaining how to be delivered from sin. Paul couldn't stop sinning in his flesh as long as he was serving God with his mind; and neither can we. But when he took the desire and zeal that was in his mind to serve God and put it in his heart and started serving God with his spirit he became an overcomer; and so can we (rom.6&7&8,Icor.13:11,gal.5:25, Ijhn.4:4). There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (rom.8:1-4). "If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed." said Jesus (jhn.8: 36). Free from sin! Now being made free from sin (rom.6:22), in this present world (tit.2:12), because as he is, so are we in this world (Ijhn.4:17). Though Jesus were a Son, yet he learned obedience by the things which he suffered (heb.5:8). For even hereunto were you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example that you should follow his steps: who did no sin (Ipet.2:21,22)! Jesus said to be perfect (mat.5:48). It would be stupidity to think that he would tell us something he knew we would not be able to do. But he said that we must first be born again (jhn.3). Now we can't be born again after the flesh. "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked Jesus, "can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?" Jesus answered, "Most assuredly I say unto you, Ecxept a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."(jhn.3:4-5). We have to be reborn of the Spirit of God. You and I are Adam and Eve's offspring. And they messed up big time. They failed to have dominion over all the earth. They failed to conquer Satan. They didn't overcome sin; and you and I can't overcome sin, on our own, that is. Have you ever heard of the term "it's genetic"? It is in our genes, so to speak, to commit sin: however, it is not an excuse to commit sin. The first Adam failed, but the second Adam (Jesus Christ) overcame (Icor.15:45-47). God himself walked this earth as a man to conquer Satan for us (see chapter five of this book). He shed his own blood for me and you: and it is in and through and with his blood that we overcome. If we would only realize what God did some two-thousand years ago. If we would only realize the power that is in the blood of Jesus. If we would only realize what being born again really means. Jesus said that we must be born again. And here is why: And the woman said unto the serpent [the devil], We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die. And the serpent said unto the woman, You shall not surely die... (Satan beguiled Eve through her mind when he convinced her to doubt God: and man's heart, soul, mind and flesh was corrupted and blinded (gen.6:12,IIcor.4:4;11: 3) And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked (gen.3:2-4,6,7). It was then that man, instead of walking after God, started walking after his five sense knowledge, the sense of sight, sound, smell, taste and touch. And it was then that God made the wisdom of this world foolish: for it was then that man chose the knowledge of sin over the knowledge and wisdom of God (for after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe... God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. But the natural man, including the natural minded Christian, receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned) (gen.2:9,16,17,Icor.1:20,21,24, 27;2:14). From that day on man's soul was dead, void of God, separated from God, and their bodies began to age and die (gen.3:23-24;6:3,rom.5:12). That is why man will always seek to fill that empty place in his soul, whether it be with the true God or with a false god. But without the true God there is no true peace. "There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked."(is.57:21). In the beginning God made man in His own image. But in the day that they partook of the knowledge of good and evil they were born in the image of the wicked one. In the day that they partook of the knowledge to make one "wise", the knowledge to be one's own god, they were born of the devil (and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do) (gen.1:27;2:7,25;3:5-7;11:6,is.14:9-17,Icor.15:42-49). This is why we must be reborn in the image of God. Not re-incarnated, re-born. David wrote, "Behold, I was shaped in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me."(psa.51:5). Jesus said, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto you, You must be born again." [the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps (jer.10:23)] "You are from beneath; I am from above: you are of this world; I am not of this world... You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."(jhn.3:6- 7;8:23,44). Jesus, who did no sin (Ipet.2:22), was sent in the likeness of sinful flesh (rom.8:3), made of a woman, made under the law (gal.4:4). For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoso-ever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (jhn.3:16). In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: who is the image of the invisible God (col.1:14,15). Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world (gal.1:4,jhn.10:17-18). He was made to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (IIcor.5:21). Jesus said, "Most assuredly I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."(jhn. 3:3). We must be born again. Peter said, "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for-ever."(Ipet.1:23). John said, "Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God....... whosoever is born of God sins not; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one touches him not."(Ijhn.3:7;5:18). How many of you know that if you eat something that's hard to digest and it doesn't agree with you, you will either throw it up or it will pass right through you largely undigested? Is His seed remaining in you? or just passing through? If you are honestly and sincerely striving to be like Jesus, you may stumble along the way, but you will come to the place where His seed will remain in you, and sin will have no place in you (for a just man falls seven times, and rises up again (prv.24:16). For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end (heb.3:14). If you are being told that you cannot be like Jesus here in this present world, it is a lie of the devil: for he is a liar, and the father of it (jhn.8:44). Because Jesus is not coming back for an imperfect church. Jesus is coming back for a perfect people, a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people: he is coming back for a holy church without spot and without blemish (Ipet.2:9,eph.5:26,27,IIpet.3:14). These are they which are alive and remain that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus unto the coming of the Lord (Iths.4:15,rev.14:12). This is the glory of the latter house which is greater than of the former (hag.2:9). This is the glory which is soon to be revealed in us at the revelation of Jesus Christ, when the mystery of God should be finished in the days of the seventh angel when he shall begin to sound (rom.8:18,Ipet.1:13,rev.10:7)-- when that which is perfect is come, the total redemption of the body of Christ (Icor.13:10, luk.21:28,eph.4:30;1:14,rom.8:23,is.35:4). Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple (here in this world, because there is no night in heaven (rev.22:5)-- for they are without fault before the throne of God (rev.7:15;14:5)(see chapter ten of this book). Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (heb.4:16). For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldy lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world (tit.2:11-12)-- According as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love (eph.1:4). This is the gospel of Jesus Christ which is the gospel of God (mrk.1:1,Itim.1:11). This is the word of reconciliation (IIcor.5:19). Jesus has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (IItim.1:10). This is the gospel which prepares you for eternal life. And when you eat this gospel of the kingdom, when you eat this word and digest it, then it remains in you and sets you free indeed from sin; because as He is, so are we in this world; because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (jhn.8:36,Ijhn.4:4,17): greater is He that remains in you. But we have to believe to receive. Some of us don't believe that we can live sin free: we don't believe the word. The devil has convinced some of us that we can never be like Jesus so why even try. Jesus said to repent and believe the gospel (mrk.1:15). Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (heb.11:6). God is a spiritual, mental and physical rewarder of them that will honestly seek him without giving up. Paul said, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."(phl.4:13). And this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith (IIjhn.15:4): our faith in the word. Jesus said, "I have overcome the world."(jhn.16: 33), and, "The prince of this world... has nothing in me."(14:30). Jesus overcame the devil with the word here in this world. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word was made flesh [JESUS], and dwelt among us (1:1,14). Jesus was and is the Word, and he overcame with the Word. Your faith in the Word, and the Word, God, Jesus remaining and living in you is your power to overcome. This is Christ in you the hope of glory (col.1:26-28)! For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law but under grace (rom.6:14). By grace are you saved through faith (eph.2:8). What then? shall we sin because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein? (rom.6:15, 2)-- You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked of him: for whom the Lord loves he chastens and scourges every son whom he receives (heb.12:4-6). You shall also consider in your heart, that, as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you (dut.8:5). If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the Father chastens not? But if you be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are you bastards and not sons. Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby (heb.12:7,8,11). God loves us: and it is for that very reason why he rebukes us and makes us sorrowful. But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies (lam.3: 32). God's mercy is not a license to sin. Grace forbids sin (rom.6). Godly sorrow works repentance to salvation (IIcor7:10). Godly sorrow causes you to acknowledge your iniquity (jer.3:13). It causes you to admit that you are wrong (mat.5:24). It causes you to confess and forsake your sins (prv.28:13). ~ Chapter Three ~ The Elijah Ministry The Apostle John wrote, "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the alter, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles..." (rev.11:1,2). The time is come for God's people to be measured. God is measuring His church. Seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross (heb.12:1,2). Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For he spoke in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. They to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief. To-day if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts (4:1,4,5,6,7). There remains therefore a rest to the people of God (heb.4:9). There is a real physical rest and a real peace of mind and soul for God's people on the sabbath day: for those who from their hearts keep the sabbath holy. There is a real spiritual rest for God's people on the sabbath day and on every day for that matter: for those who dwell in Jesus, in the secret place in the Spirit of the most High and keep His commandments with their hearts (psa.91:1,gal.5: 25,jhn.14:15-24). Jesus said, "My peace I give unto you: not as the world gives..."(jhn.14:27). Isaiah said, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you."(is.26:3). The Lord said, "My people have been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place."(jer.50:6), and, "This is the rest wherewith you may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear."(is.28:12). Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief (heb.4:11). Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief (heb.4:11). Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except you be reprobates? (IIcor.13:5). Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (phl.2:12). For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world (Icor.11:31,32). Do you hear what God is calling us if we are without chastisement or corrections from him? bastards (heb.12:8). Pure religion undefiled before God is for a Christian to keep himself, or herself, unspotted from the world (jam. 1:27). Paul said, "The foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are his. And, Let every-one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity."(IItim.2:19). God said He will rebuke us and reprove us. Listen to what He is telling us, "These things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether such a one as yourself: but I will reprove you, and set them in order before your eyes."(psa.50:21). God is setting his true church in order right now whether we like it or not, whether we receive it or not (Ipet.4:17). Beware therefore, lest that come upon you which is spoken of in the prophets; Behold, you despisers, and wonder and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which you shall in no wise believe though a man declare it unto you (act.13:40-41). For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act (is.28:21)....... that frustrate the tokens of liars, and make diviners mad; that turn wise men backward, and make their knowledge foolish; that confirms the word of his servant (44:25,26). "I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts..."(is.65:2). "Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men..."(29:13). God said, "Your own wickedness shall correct you, and your backslidings shall reprove you: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that you have forsaken the Lord your God, and that my fear is not in you, saith the Lord God of hosts."(jer.2:19). "But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it."(psa.94:15). "Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters shall overflow the hiding place."(is.28:17). The spirit and power of Elijah is now going to be sent to turn the hearts of the children of God to their spiritual fathers -- the Apostles and Prophets and Jesus Christ the head (mal.4:5,6,eph.2:20). There is only one major prophet on the scene today who even comes close to the Elijah prophet. He is either the Elijah prophet, or he is the forerunner of the Elijah prophet (see chapter fifteen of this book). Jesus said that Elijah is come: and that Elijah shall come and restore all things (mat.17:11,12). The Elijah ministry is a two part ministry, the latter being a double portion of the former (IIkng.2:9-14). John the Baptist was number one, but number two doesn't arrive on the scene until the latter days to restore the Church. John the Baptist was the voice of him that cried in the wilderness to prepare the way of the Lord, to prepare a people, to prepare the Church that was to be born (psa.22:30-31;102:18,is.40:3,luk.1:17): he didn't restore the Church, because the Church was not yet born: he prepared the way. But this second Elijah, the double portion ministry of Elijah, is the restorer of all things, the restorer of the Church that has already been born (mal.4:5-6). Malachi prophesied, "But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appears? for he is like a refiners fire, and like fullers soap: and he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness."(mal.3:2,3). And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by your name, to take away our reproach (is.4:1). This one man is Jesus, and these seven women are the seven golden candlesticks, the seven churches in Revelation to whom Jesus said, among other things, "I have somewhat against you...", "I have not found your works perfect before God.", "I will come unto you quickly, and will remove your candlestick out of his place, except you repent.", and, "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent."(rev.2:4,5;3:2,19). Isaiah was seeing the spiritual condition of many of these churches and church folk today that use the title of "Christianity", but are holding on to their worldly ways, worshiping in the court which is without the temple, doing their own little things, teaching their own little doctrines, promoting their own lukewarm interpretation of the scriptures. The temple referred to here is your heart which is the temple of God (Icor.3:17,eph.2:22;3:16-17,jam.2:26); and the court which is without the temple is your flesh, your natural mind (rom.8:8). Some of us who call ourselves Christians today act like Jesus, but we don't live like him. Some of us want to be called by Jesus' name. Some of us want to take hold of Jesus, but we are eating our own bread -- our own religious beliefs, and wearing our own apparel -- our own religious spirit, trying to please God from the outside in, worshiping in the court which is without the temple. But God is measuring his elect today (rev.11:1;2:27). God is measuring us, judging us and correcting us this very hour (Icor.11:32, heb.12:7-8). The Spirit of Jesus is now calling us to come out from among these false doctrines, and to come out from among these lukewarm churches. "Be zealous therefore, and repent." In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence. And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain (is.4:2-6). God is not talking about the after-life here because there is no night or storm in heaven (rev.22:5). He is talking about here and now. Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness (is.1:27), when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. And it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day... and the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few (10:17,19). We are the trees of his forest (61:3). If you don't think that God is talking to each and every one of us here, then think again. "For thus saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem [that's us, his people], Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart, you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings."(jer.4:3-4). God is not talking to pagans, heathens or sinners here: he is talking to me and you. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? and if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (Ipet.4:17,18). The righteous scarcely saved - - Jesus said that many will seek to enter in and shall not be able (luk.13: 24). Why? because of sin in our hearts. God gave us his Spirit to lead us in the way we should go, and to convict us when we do something wrong (convict, not condemn). But when you over-ride that conviction your conscience is in the process of being seared. If you ignore that conviction long enough eventually you'll become totally desensitized to it, and committing the sin that would have had you on your knees repenting will no longer even bother you. Some of us have all but lost our commitment and conviction to pray and live a separated, holy and dedicated life unto God. When you stop praying or when you are slack in your prayer life you don't have the mind of Christ: you will not feel conviction about doing some things you shouldn't be doing. Put the fear of God in me. Shake us and wake us up before it's too late. You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your countenance. We acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against you. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to your lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of your tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions. Cleanse me from secret faults. Sprinkle the blood of Jesus on our hearts. For only your blood can take away sins. The precious blood of Jesus is the only antidote for sin. Give me your blood to drink. Give me a new strength and hunger in my heart to seek you. Change me today, not tomorrow, right here and now; and refill me with Your Spirit. Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part you shall make me to know wisdom. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence; and take not your holy Spirit from me. Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law. I am a stranger in the earth: hide not your commandments from me. Cause me to be a doer of the word, and not a hearer only, deceiving my own self (psa.19:12;51:1-11;90:8;119:18-19,jer.14:20, jam.1:22). Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting (gal.6:7-8). Whatever kind of seed you plant in your garden is what will grow there and is what you will reap. Whatever kind of seed you plant in your heart is what will grow there and is what you will reap. The things we say and do, the things we believe and the information we allow ourselves to be exposed to, be it good or bad, be it right or wrong, be it true or misguided will influence us and effect us accordingly. And with what measure we mete withal, good or bad, it shall be measured back to us (luk.6: 38). And with what judgment we judge, good or bad, we shall be judged (mat.7: 2). We will reap exactly what we sow. If you are sowing things of the world in your heart, then things of the world is what you'll bring forth. If you are sowing the word of God [Jesus] in your heart, then Jesus is what you'll bring forth. If some of us would pray and read the Bible as much as we watch TV or do other pastime activities we would be bringing forth Jesus in deed and in truth, healing the sick, casting out devils, raising the dead -- doing exploits for God (jhn.14:11-14,dan.11:32); or at the very least we would be much closer to Him. It is time to start living what we believe. We need to practice what we preach. If we believe the word, we ought to live the word. Paul said, "Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel."(Icor.9:14). We are not our own. We are bought with a price (6:19,20). We are not of this world (jhn.15:19;17:14). Listen, "If you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people..."(ex.19:5), "And you shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that you should be mine." (lev.20:26). It's time to become strangers with the world: meaning it is time to estrange your-self from the ways of the world. Some of us want to remain friends with the world. Some of us want to become friends with the world. You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God (jam.4:4). Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides for-ever (Ijhn.2:15-17). God said he would rule over us. And that he would reprove, chastise, rebuke and purge us, and cause us to pass under the rod. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (heb.10:31). There is very little fear of God in the churches today. Why? because very few have fallen into the hands of the living God. Very few have laid down their whole life and fallen upon that stone -- Jesus. Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken (luk.20:18). Some of us don't want to be broken. King David said, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."(psa.51:17). The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. Some of us are to proud to be broken. Jesus said, "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."(mat.5:3). Poor in spirit means humble in spirit. God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble (jam.4: 6,Ipet.5:5). A high look, and a proud heart is sin (prv.21:4). Many are giving God lip service today, but their hearts are full of pride: self-righteous religious pride. Most men [and women] will proclaim every-one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find? (prv.20:6). No wonder God can't break and make some of you. You are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knows your heart (luk.16:15). Quit proclaiming how good of a Christian you are. Jesus as a man said that none is good, but one, that is God (mat.19:17, luk.18:19). It's Christ in you, God in you doing good: it's not you. The pride of your heart has deceived you (obd.3). Jesus as a man said, "Why call me good?"(mat.19:17), "The Father that dwells in me, he does the works."(jhn.14: 10). A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from above (3:27). So then it is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy (rom.9:16). It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not (lam.3:22). God saved the children of Israel for his name's sake (psa.106:8). King David said, "He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake."(23:3). It's not because of our good works. All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags (is.64:6). "Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel."(ezk.36:32). Jesus said, "When you shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do."(luk.17:10). Moses told the children of Israel, "Not for your righteousness, or for the uprightness of your heart, do you go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the Lord your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may perform the word which the Lord sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Understand therefore, that the Lord your God gives you not this good land to possess it for your righteousness; for you are a stiffnecked people."(dut.9:5,6). When a true preacher of God stands up today and tells us that we are stiffnecked, some of us are ready to curse him out, reject him and cast out his name as evil. God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble (Ipet.5:5). We have to be clay in the potter's hand: we have to be like putty in God's hand (is.64:8,jer.18:6,rom.9:20,21). But some of us are too starchy and stiff- necked: we won't endure chastening (jer.17:21-27,ezk.2:3-10,act.7:51). But reproofs of instruction are the way of life (prv.6:23). However, a fool has no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself (18:2). ~ Chapter Four ~ Behold, I Give Unto You Power "He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that takes not his cross, and follows after me, is not worthy of me." Jesus said (mat.10:37-38). He said that we have to deny ourselves and take up our cross daily. Paul said, "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body."(IIcor.4:8- 10). You have to sacrifice your life daily in order to have the life of Jesus revealed in you. Paul said, "For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day."(IIcor.4: 16). John said, "He [Jesus] must increase, but I must decrease."(jhn.3:30). Paul said, "I die daily."(Icor.15:31). Why? that the life of Jesus might be made manifest, or revealed, in our mortal flesh (IIcor.4:11). Our mortal flesh, not our immortal flesh: right here in this world, not just in the world to come (Ijhn.4:17)-- The Lord working with them and confirming the word with signs following (mrk.16:20)-- He's no different today! How many of us are daily crucifying our flesh with our affections and lusts? How many of us are presenting our bodies a living sacrifice holy acceptable unto God which is our reasonable service? daily? When Jesus' disciples were unable to heal a certain sick person, he told them, "This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting."(mrk.9:29). Praying like Jesus prayed. Praying and fasting like the disciples in the Bible did. Paul said, "In fastings often..."(IIcor.11:27). Some of us are more dedicated to our stomachs than we are to our God. The Bible said that some people's God is their belly (phl.3:19,rom.16:18). But read what kind of fast God told us to go on -- read Isaiah chapter 58. And in the New Testament too he said to present our bodies a living sacrifice holy acceptable unto God which is our reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God (rom.12:1,2). He said it's our reasonable service. And his commandments are not grievous (Ijhn.5:3). They are all plain to him that understands, and right to them that find knowledge (prv.8:9). Jesus said, "Behold, I give unto you power... over all the power of the enemy..."(luk.10:19). How? by prayer and fasting, and by the Word through faith. He said, "If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed..."(jhn.8:31). If we continue in his word, then we are not his disciples in word only, but in deed. And Jesus spent many sleepless nights in prayer, sometimes praying all night till dawn (mat.14:23,mrk.1:35;6:46;14:38, luk.5:16;6:12;18:1;21:36). I mean really praying, not this lip service stuff or this TV preacher style mumbo jumbo. The Apostles said, "We will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word." The Apostles also fasted regularly. And with great power gave the Apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus (act.4:33;6:4;13:2-3;14:23). The Bible says that Jesus, our example, was led by the Spirit to fast and pray: the Spirit drove him into the wilderness to fast and pray (mat.4:1, 2,luk.4:1,2,mrk.1:12,13). Are we asking God to drive us into the wilderness to fast and pray? Fasting and praying breaks your will and keeps your carnal mind under subjection so that God can use you. Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel." (mrk.1:15,luk.4:14). Jesus went about healing all manner of sickness and disease among the people (mat.4:23). He rebuked the devil, saying unto him, "You dumb and deaf spirit, I charge you, come out of him, and enter no more into him."(mat.17:18, mrk.9:25). For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (eph.6:12). Jesus didn't medicate diseases and illnesses, because he recognized them for what they were -- bondages of Satan(luk.13:16). I'm not condemning anyone for taking medicine or seeing a doctor. I'm encouraging you to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints and to let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. To heal the sick, Jesus didn't use the potions and remedies available in his day, he spoke the Word only (psa.107:20, mat.8:8). They were astonished at Jesus' doctrine: for his word was with power (luk.4:32). They questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority and power he commands even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him (mrk.1:27). The word, prayer and fasting, mixed with faith: only then will we have power over all the power of the enemy: power over sin, sickness and death! Yes, even death. The dedicated believers in the early Church had power over death. And we, as believers, have in our possession the power and authority to do the very works and miracles that Jesus did (mrk.16:17,jhn.1:12;14:12)-- Power to do the miraculous! It's His Word!! But we must be ready, willing and able to freely give to others what God has freely given to us, and not be slothful or doubtful. If we are not receiving miracles, it is because of our unbelief; and if we are not doing miracles, it is because of our doubts (mat.10:6-8;21:21,luk.8:50). Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God (phl.2:5,6). The Bible tells us to be spiritually minded: it tells us to have the mind of Christ. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (rom.8:6). Some of us are not as spiritually minded as we might think. Some of us think of miracles as extraordinary occurrences; and not as something that should take place every day in our lives. Why? Because we are more carnally minded than spiritually minded. Jesus said, "He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also..."(jhn.14:12). All manner of sickness and disease was subject to Jesus. Every devil was subject to Him. The sea, the waves and the wind were subject to Him. He said, "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you."(jhn.15:7). If we are living and walking in the Spirit, then miracles are our way of life (gal.5:25,jhn.10:10). We need to get in our prayer closets and bombard the heavens with strong, sincere, earnest prayer until we are prayed through (having laid aside every weight and every sin which does so easily beset us); until we have overcome every obstacle of doubt and unbelief; until we be endued with power from on high. Most of us will take out a little time here and there from our busy lives to do a little praying, when it should be the other way around. We should be taking out a little time from our praying to take care of our natural business and then get right back into prayer. Praying brings the spiritual rain down from heaven to water the Word that is in your heart. James said, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." (jam.5:16). I can remember quite vividly when I was a child a feeling would come over me and overwhelm me to sigh and to travail. I didn't give it much thought back then. But by my early teens the feeling came more frequently and was more intense. And although Jesus would speak to my heart to let me know that it was him drawing me unto himself (jhn.12:32,rev.3:20), not knowing much about God then, knowing only what the Catholic Church and other worldly religions taught, I had begun to question my own sanity. I would get alone and just cry and call out to God. This went on sporadically for several years (as I was somewhat rebellious), until Jesus revealed himself unto me and filled me with the Holy Ghost: and then it all became so clear. It was the Spirit of God drawing me to Jesus then, just as it is the Spirit of God drawing us closer to him today: if we'll let him (jhn.6:44,65). For we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (rom.8:26). But we must yield to God, not man (Iths.5:19)! Lift Jesus up with your heart and cry out to him! Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord: and he will draw you into his presence and comfort you (psa.140:13,is.61:1-3,lam.2:19,jhn.12:32;14:18)! Some of God's people today don't know how to fast and pray like Jesus and the Christians in the early church did. And some just don't want to put forth the effort and take the time out to do it. This is why we don't have the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (jud.3)-- the faith of Jesus (rev.14:12)-- the true latter rain outpouring (hos.6:3). This is why we have not come to the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: that we henceforth be no more children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine (eph.4:13,14). Paul said, "Be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be children, but in understanding be men."(Icor.14:20), and, "We know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."(13:9-11). Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection (heb.6:1). It's time to grow up in Christ! He must increase, but we must decrease. Jesus said, "When you were young, you clothed yourself, and walked where you would: but when you shall be old, you shall stretch forth your hands, and another shall clothe you, and carry you where you would not."(jhn.21:18). For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (rom.8:14). He said, "Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit. He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal."(jhn.12:24-25). Some of us have not yet died carnally: we haven't totally put off our old man. Jesus said that we have to be crucified and buried first, our own ways and thoughts crucified and buried before we can have his life in us and be clothed with his Spirit. Every day you have to die to live for God. There is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease (job.14:7). It's not easy to die daily. It's not easy to decrease daily. It's not easy to have our way cut down. Jesus never said it was easy. Paul said, "When I am weak, then am I strong."(IIcor.2:10), "I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me..."(gal.2:20). Jesus said, "My strength is made perfect in weakness."(IIcor.12:10). "For this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting." wrote Paul (Itim.1:16), and, "Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given... to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery..."(eph.3:8,9). He said, "My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you."(gal.4:19). When God tries to impregnate us with the meat of his word to cause us to bring forth the man child -- Jesus -- many are resisting him and drawing back to lukewarm religious perdition. "Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him."(heb. 10:38). Be in pain and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail (mic.4:10). Revelation says that in the last days God's true people, his true Church, being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And she brought forth a man child -- the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ in you (eph.4:13)-- after that you have suffered a while make you perfect (Ipet.5:10)-- because as he is so are we in this world (Ijhn.4:17)-- And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up (not raptured out) unto God, and to his throne (rev.12:2,5). "Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. Who has heard such a thing? who has seen such a thing? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children." When we start earnestly travailing and labouring to bring forth the seed of God, the man child, God is going to manifest himself through us. "Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? says the Lord: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? says your God."(is.66:7-9). Jesus said, "A woman when she is in travail has sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembers no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world."(jhn.16:21). We need to receive this word into our hearts and act on it before Satan has a chance to snatch it away from us. Jesus said that when anyone hears the word of the kingdom and understands it not, then comes the wicked one and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side (mat.13:19). And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, by and by they are offended (mrk.4:16,17,mat.13:21). And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience (luk.8:14-15). Some of us confuse being slothful with being patient. Some of us are past our due date. It's time to bear fruit. It's time to let God birth the man child in us. No man, when he has lighted a candle, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed; but sets it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither anything hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. Take heed therefore how you hear: for whosoever has, to him shall be given; and whosoever has not, from him shall be taken even that which he seems to have (luk.8:16-18;13:6-9). ~ Chapter Five ~ Jesus, The True Light Like as a woman with child that draws near the time of her delivery is in pain, and cries out in her pangs; so have we been in your sight, O Lord. We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind -- every wind of doctrine (is.26:17,18,jer.22:22,hos.8:7,eph.4:14). Most preachers have brought forth nothing but winds of doctrines up to this point. In the Old Testament Moses told the children of Israel, "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord."(dut.6:4). And in the New Testament Jesus reaffirmed this fact (mrk.12:29). Nevertheless II Kings tells us that every nation made gods of their own and that the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the Lord their God (IIkng. 17:9,29). Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. You have plowed wickedness, you have reaped iniquity; you have eaten the fruit of lies: because you did trust in your way, in the multitude of your mighty men (hos.10:12,13). Some of us trust in our so called "intelligent" mighty scientists, philosophers, doctors, astrologers, psychics, teachers or preachers to feed us with what we want to hear. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ (col.2:8). The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel [God's people], The Lord our God is one Lord: and you shall love him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. He said, "You shall have no other gods before me." (ex.20:3,dut.6:4,5,mrk.12:29,30). And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets (lev.19:18,mat.22:39,40). Your God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God (dut.4:24). You shall not make any graven image, or any likeness of anything, male or female, that is in heaven above or in the earth beneath (ex.20:4,dut.4:16)-- You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve (mat.4:10). "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father..." Isaiah prophesied (is. 9:6). The word of God in both the Old and New Testament said that they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us, and he shall save his people from their sins (is.7:14;43:11,mat.1:21,23). Know that the Lord he is God....... God is the Lord (psa.100:3;118:27). And there is only one Lord (eph.4:5). Jesus said, "I and my Father are one.", and, "He that has seen me has seen the Father."(jhn.10:30;14:9). Thomas said to Jesus, "My Lord and my God." Jesus said, "Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."(jhn.20:28,29). Now I want to briefly tell you what this light is, and what this light is not, that some believe is God. We know by the word of God that Jesus is the true Light. And we know by the word of God that without holiness no one will see the Lord. God's word says to follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (heb.12:14)-- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... All things were made by him; and without him was not any-thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not... That was the true Light [Jesus], which lights every man that comes into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not (jhn.1:1,3,4,5,9,10)-- Who only has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man has seen, nor can see (Itim.6:16). The "light" which some, after having a near death experience or otherwise, claim to have seen is not the true light of God if they don't come back preaching Jesus and true holiness without which no man shall see the Lord -- For Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness, to deceive (IIcor.11:14,15). Many of them even use the name of Jesus, just as Jesus said they would, and are deceiving many (mat.24:5). The devil came to Jesus to deceive even our Lord (mat.4,luk.4). Paul said, "I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."(gal.1:6-8). Paul said that some are perverting or corrupting the gospel of Christ through their opinions and philosophies; and some are perverting it by giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils: but the Bible said to let them be accursed. For if he that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if you receive another spirit, which you have not received, or another gospel, which you have not accepted, or "another testament of Jesus", you might well bear with him (IIcor.11:4). For many are giving heed to seducing spirits -- religious spirits which appear as angels of light to teach corrupted forms of the true gospel of Jesus. Paul said, "But if our gospel [the true gospel of Jesus Christ] be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."(IIcor.4:3-4). To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them (is.8:20). Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshiping of angels (col.2:18). There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism (eph.4:5), one way (jhn.14:6), one door (10:9): for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (Itim.2:5). There is one judgment, not two, not two-hundred: as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (heb.9:27). God is one God: one Lord. He's not three-thousand gods all in one, nor is he three gods in one. John said that the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost are one (Ijhn.5:7). These three are not IN one: and these three are not OF one: these three ARE one! Just as a man may be the president of a country, a husband and a father all at the same time and is still only one individual, so is God. He's not God the Father, God the Son and or God the Holy Ghost. God is the Father. God is the Son. God is the Holy Ghost. God is the Word and the Word is God. God told Moses, "I AM THAT I AM.", not, "I am those I am", or, "I am these I am" (ex.3: 14). Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I AM."(jhn.8:58). So you see there is no such thing as this trinity confusion, praying to saints, purgatory or reincarnation. It's life or death, heaven or hell: it's one or the other. You can try to change God's word to fit your belief but it doesn't work. If Jesus is the Lord and there is only one Lord and the Lord is God, then Jesus is God. God spoke through Isaiah, "I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God."(is.44:6). Jesus told John, "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last...", "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."(rev.1:8,11). He said, "Before Abraham was, I AM." (jhn.8:58). The Lord said, "Look unto me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else."(is.45:22), and, "I, even I, am the Lord, and beside me there is no saviour."(43:11). Many people claim to believe in Jesus, but they don't confess him for who he is. John said, "Believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."(Ijhn.4:1). Paul said that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost (Icor.12:3). If you know in your heart that Jesus is indeed God, then flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but the Holy Ghost (mat.16:17). No one can say that Jesus is the Lord God, but by the true Spirit of God. It's high time to realize who Jesus is and worship him for what he is: God our Saviour (jhn.4: 42,act.4:12,Itim.1:1,phm.2:10). Jesus is the everlasting name of the one and only true God. Zechariah prophesied, "In that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one."(zch.14:9). The name of Jesus is far above every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come (eph.1:21). Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (act.4:12). Paul said, "As I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an alter with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore you ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you... [though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many and lords many (Icor.8:5)] and the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men every-where to repent..."(act.17:23, 30). God does not condemn man. Man is condemning himself by refusing to accept the only true God. "And this is the condemnation", explained Jesus, "that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every-one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."(jhn.3:19-21). Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God (dut.8:3,luk.4:4). And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (jhn.1:1,14). Jesus said, "I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for- ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world... For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed."(jhn.6:51,55). If someone cooks a meal for you every day of your life and set a place for you at the table and you refuse to eat it, you can hardly blame the cook for you starving to death. Jesus said, "I have prepared my dinner...", and, "Come; for all things are now ready."(mat.22:4,luk.14:17). Jesus does not condemn you. You are condemning yourself by refusing to eat your daily bread from heaven (gen.2:9,mat.6:11,luk.4:4). Jesus, as a man, said, "And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."(jhn.17:3). And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory (Itim.3:16). There is only one way to be saved, and it's easy, and that is to confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Lord, and to believe in your heart that he died on the cross for your sins and rose from the dead to give you who believe everlasting life -- you who truly believe and repent (mrk.1:15,jhn.14: 6,act.4:12,rom.10:8,9,col.1:13-18,heb.9:11-14;10:5-22): then you too will know without a doubt that Jesus is who the Bible says he is! Jesus said, "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you."(jhn.14:18). As God has said, "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."(IIcor.6:16). For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (4:6). ~ Chapter Six ~ A Price To Pay And when Jesus had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (mrk.8:34-38). To be a disciple of Jesus Christ you have to hate your own life. Jesus said, "He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal."(jhn.12:25). You have to hate your own life enough to forsake it daily. We are living in perilous times when men are lovers of their own selves. Most are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. I believe that the hour of temptation, which Jesus spoke about in Revelation, is upon us. Many are falling away form sound doctrine and true holiness and are giving heed to false religious spirits. Jesus said to take heed to yourselves lest that day come upon you unawares. If you believe that you are immune to being deceived then you are already deceived. Jesus is saying today, "Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation." (luk.21:34;22:46;Icor.10:12;IIths.2:3-12;IItim.3:1-5;rev.3:10). There is only one Lord and only one faith: not two Lords and one faith, or one Lord and three faiths. "Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: and I will give you pastors according to my heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding."(jer.3:14, 15). "And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane; and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. And in controversy they shall stand in judgment: and they shall judge it according to my judgments: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all my assemblies; and they shall hallow my sabbaths."(ezk.44:23-24). Some of us would rather not discern between the unclean and the clean, and would prefer not knowing the difference between the holy and profane, because it might clash with some of our personal beliefs. We might have to give up some of our long held traditions and belief systems. Some of us are unwilling to deny ourselves and forsake everything for Jesus. "And in controversy they shall stand in judgment." God's people today don't like controversy; they want good words and fair speeches, smooth things, something easily palatable. God's word is as sweet as honey in your mouth, but once you swallow it, it makes your belly bitter: it's hard to digest. The trials, tribulations and persecutions we must go through as Christians are bitter. When you eat the word and become a witness of Jesus Christ, then you are controversial, and the rejection and persecution you will suffer because of it is bitter (IItim.3:12). Peter said to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus (IIpet.3:18). Most don't want to go into the depths of the knowledge of Jesus because it requires too much personal sacrifice: because the Bible says that in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increases knowledge increases sorrow (ecl.1:18). But those that will pay the price, the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us (rom.8:18). God is going to manifest himself in and through us, but not before we pay a price. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (IIcor.4:17, 18). You have to pay a price. Where more is known more is required (luk.12: 48). You are saved by grace through faith. You are bought with a price. Jesus paid a price for your salvation, but you must pay a price to walk with him. You have to pay a price to follow on to know the Lord. You have to pay a price to know Jesus and the power of his resurrection here in this world. If Jesus saved you and then immediately took you on up to heaven, then you would not be required to take up your cross daily. You would not be required to give yourself to fasting. You would not be required to be baptized in the name of Jesus and then receive the Holy Ghost, or vice versa (luk.23:39-43,act.2:38; 19:6;10:44-48,mrk.2:20,Icor.7:5). The thief on the cross was convicted and sentenced to death. He knew that he was guilty and that his only hope was to turn to God whom he recognized in Jesus, and to believe and receive whatever Jesus said. If we would only realize that we all have been found guilty before God (rom.3:19), then we would have an urgency to truly repent and truly believe and receive all of his words. If you don't believe that there is a price to be paid, then you don't believe Jesus. Jesus said to deny your-self and take up your cross daily (luk.9:23). He said, "He that takes not his cross, and follows after me, is not worthy of me."(mat.10:38), and, "If any man come to me and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."(luk.14:26). He said that we have to forsake all (18:22). He said, "Whosoever... forsakes not all that he has, he cannot be my disciple."(14:33). Jesus is not telling you to despise your spouse or to dishonor or disobey your parents, and neither am I. Jesus said, "Honor your father and your mother..."(mat.19:19); but he also said, "He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me..."(10:37). When it comes to the word of God and doing His will "We ought to obey God rather than men." said the Apostles (act.5:29). Sometimes what is right in the eyes of God, is not right in the eyes of man. And sometimes what is right in the eyes of man, is not right in the eyes of God. I am telling you to respect your spouse and to honor and obey your parents; but I am also saying that we are to obey God rather than man: anyone, friend or family. If you still don't believe that there is a substantial price to pay to walk with Jesus, then just listen to what Luke said here in chapter nine: And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto [Jesus], Lord, I will follow you wheresoever you go. And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head. And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but you go and preach the kingdom of God. And another also said, Lord, I will follow you; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God (luk.9:57- 62). It is a big price to pay, but there is an immeasurable reward that comes with it. But how many of us will sacrifice everything for Jesus? The Lord said that He is married to us: and we should be married to Him (jer.3:14,rom.7:4). Ephesians four says when he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men (eph.4:8). Out of the ten lepers that Jesus healed in Luke seventeen, only one of them turned back and was made whole. The other nine received their gifts of healing and went their ways to their religions. Many "Christians" and "Christian" churches today are not married to Jesus. They are not turning back to be made whole. They are receiving a gift from him here and there and are going their self-righteous religious ways. Paul said, "These are the two covenants..."(gal.4:24)-- to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He says not, And to your seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to your seed, which is Christ (3:16). Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac. But unto the sons of the concubines which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son (gen.25:5,6). God is giving us natural gifts and spiritual gifts and sending us away from his presence when we don't turn back to him with our whole heart. Break forth and cry you that travail not: for the desolate has many more children than she which has a husband (gal.4:27). Cry aloud you that did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, says the Lord (is.54:1). Paul said, "But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now."(gal.4:29). If you are reborn after the true Spirit of God, if you are married to Jesus like you should be and God has put his seed in your heart to speak his word, then you are in the minority: and not only does the world hate you, but these wishy-washy, worldly-minded, luke-warm "Christians" hate you as well. They are of the world: therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them (Ijhn.4:5). Jesus said, "If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you."(jhn. 15:19). John wrote, "Therefore the world knows us not, because it knew Him not."(Ijhn.3:1). The world didn't know Jesus, and his own people didn't receive him (jhn.1:10,11): they were offended in him (mat.13:57). Jesus' enemies called him the devil; his friends said he was crazy; and his own brothers didn't believe in him (mrk.3:21,jhn.7:5). Persecutions against him and negative feelings toward him were such that Jesus at times went about, not openly, but as it were in secret (mrk.9:30,jhn.7:10-12). He did not put himself in precarious situations unnecessarily, and neither should we. He was not naive or stupid, and neither should we be: and so he warned us, "Be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. But beware of men..."(mat.10:16,17). He said, "If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you..."(jhn.15: 20). Moses' own people envied him (psa.106:16). For envy the patriarchs sold Joseph into Egypt (act.7:9). For envy the chief priests delivered Jesus into the hands of the Romans to be crucified: the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude against Jesus (mat.27:18,20,mrk.15:10). Compared with the religious people, the heathens and sinners had little to do with persecuting Jesus and having him put to death. Almost exclusively it was the religious folks who persecuted him. Jesus said that they will persecute you too. If you are not suffering these persecutions, then you are not a doer of the word but a forgetful hearer deceiving your own self (IItim. 3:12,jam.2:22). "Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?" the disciples prayed, "And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto your servants, that with all boldness they may speak your word, by stretching forth your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of your holy child Jesus." And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with boldness (act.4:24-31). The heathen and the hypocrites will rage when you take a stand for the truth. Back in my early Christian days on a calm and starry night with the nearest rain cloud hundreds of miles away, two very dear Christian brothers of mine, along with myself, were sitting at a table earnestly seeking the Lord and reading from the Bible various scriptures concerning Jesus revealing himself through his people and the manifestation of the sons of God, when suddenly a roaring sound like thunder shook the whole house we were in like an earthquake. And although it was neither heard nor felt by anyone else in the city, there were others in the house, besides us three, who did witness it. It was God confirming his word, that this indeed was his word and his will, as the Spirit gave us utterance and filled us with such a peace. This was only one of among many signs that were given to us, as Jesus opened our understanding revealing the scriptures to us day after day. And because many people did not understand what God was revealing through us, they began to persecute us and speak evil things against us falsely. But as the persecutions against us grew, the power of God grew even stronger for us: and we spoke the word of God with boldness, the Lord working with us and confirming the word with signs and wonders following! It is time to seek God like we did when we were first saved. If God filled you with the Holy Ghost when you were first saved, then he put a deep hunger in your heart to seek him daily, to pray, to read his word, and to go on a chosen fast on a regular basis. I heard a good Christian song a while back that went something like this, "Tell me, who's gonna pay the price that Jesus said to pay? who's gonna sacrifice their lives? who's gonna fast and pray?" It's time to get that hunger back. It's time to rededicate our lives to Jesus and reclaim that zeal we once had when we were really hungering and thirsting after righteousness; the zeal we had when we couldn't wait to get in the Bible and read for hours at a time; the zeal we had when we couldn't wait to pour out our hearts to Jesus in prayer; the zeal we had when we leaped for joy and were exceeding glad to suffer persecutions for Jesus. Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth. The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the Lord (jol.1:8,9). Jesus said, "Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed."(jhn.5:53-55). Jesus, who is the meat and drink, is cut off from the house of the Lord. "I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto you were not able to bear it, neither yet now are you able. For you are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions..." exclaimed Paul (Icor.3:2,3). There has never been more division among Christians and Christian churches than there is today. When for the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again... and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every-one that uses milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil (heb.5:12-14). Jesus said to be perfect (mat.5:48). He said that if you don't forsake all you can't be his disciple (luk.14:33). We have to forsake our envying, our strife and our self-righteousness. Paul said, "I have suffered the loss of all things [for Jesus]... but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect [mature], be thus minded: and if in any- thing you be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you."(phl.3:8, 13-15). Some of us don't want God to reveal the truth to us. When God reveals something to you out of his word, from that day on you are required of it. If you turn a deaf ear to it, then you have already backslidden in your heart (jam.4:17). Paul continues, "Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing."(phl.3:16). Many of us are far from being perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment with the apostles and prophets (Icor.1:10,eph.2:19-22). Why? because we are not eating Jesus. We are not truly hungering and thirsting after him. We are just snacking on him whenever it is convenient for us. Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God."(luk.4:4). We are not truly living if we are not living by every word of God, and not just the ones we like or the ones we agree with. We must eat a completely balanced spiritual diet which includes the meat of the word. Many of Jesus' disciples when they had heard this, said, This is a hard saying; who can hear it? (jhn.6:60). When Jesus began to wean his disciples from milk and give them some meat they weren't able to handle it. If you give a small baby meat chances are he will get sick and throw it up. Many "Christians" today cannot tolerate the meat of God's word: they get offended and reject it. We are supposed to be born again, and as new born babes desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby (Ipet.2:2). Many church going people today have a spiritual digestive system disorder. They can't even properly digest the milk of the word much less the meat. Their growth is stunted. They've become luke-warm. We are not supposed to stay babies or children in Christ. We are supposed to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus (IIpet.3:18): we are supposed to grow up into him in all things (eph.4: 15). Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts (is. 28:9). From that time many of Jesus' disciples went back and walked no more with him (jhn.6). Jesus said, "If any man come to me and hate not... his own life... he cannot be my disciple... Whosoever he be of you that forsakes not all that he has, he cannot be my disciple."(luk.14:26,33). Revelation twelve says that they, the true disciples, overcame by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death (rev.12:11). Peter told Jesus, "We have left all, and have followed you." Jesus answered, "There is no man that has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, but he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time... with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life."(mrk.10:28,29,30). "Who is my mother? and who are my brothers?" exclaimed Jesus. And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brothers! For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother (mat.12:48-50,mrk.3:35). Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the house-hold of God (eph.2:19). Jesus came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (jhn.1:11-13). With persecutions. With what? with persecutions. John said that if you say you know God and don't keep his commandments you are a liar (Ijhn.2:4). Jesus said that whosoever breaks one of these least commandments (mat.5:19)-- so we know that he is not just talking about the ten commandments. And Jesus commanded us to suffer with him (luk.9:23,phl.1:29). If we claim to be followers of Jesus Christ and we are not suffering the same persecutions that he suffered, the same persecutions the disciples in the Bible suffered, if we are not suffering the same persecutions, then we are not following the same Jesus. Paul said, "Yes, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived." (IItim.3:12-13). ~ Chapter Seven ~ Jesus Is Our Passover The word of God is offensive to our flesh: it's offensive to our old man: it's offensive to the Adam nature in us. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that you cannot do the things that you would (gal.5:17). Paul said, "Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh."(IIcor.10: 3). You have to quit warring against sin in your flesh and attack it at the source, in your heart (mrk.7:21-23). For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (10:4,5). Solomon said, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven... a time to break down, and a time to build up..." (ecl.3:1,3). God told Jeremiah, "I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant."(jer.1:10). A true prophet, apostle or minister is sent by God to tear down traditions and false beliefs and to build you up on the truth. But who among you will hear? who among you have ears to hear? Your natural mind will always resist the true Spirit of God. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be (rom.8:7). The carnal mind simply means the natural mind. Some of us are walking after our natural, carnal, fleshly minds trying to please God. We have not put off our old garments, spiritually speaking, before trying to put on Christ. Some of us have put our old man in the closet instead of in the grave. It's time to come out of the closet and get into the grave so to speak. It's time to put off ourself and put on Christ. Some of us are trying to live for God with our fleshly minds -- our five sense knowledge. We have the letter of the word in our mind, but not the Spirit of the word in our heart. We know the letter, but not the Spirit. That's why some of you won't receive a true prophet or a true minister whom God sends. Jesus said, "You have not his word abiding in you: for whom he has sent, him you believe not."(jhn5:38,luk.10:16,Iths.4:8). We have to stop walking after the flesh and quit worshipping God with our natural minds. God is not impressed by our outward display of righteousness. No man is justified by the law in the sight of God (gal.3:11). By the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight (rom.3: 20). Some of us have changed on the outside, but we are still the same old man on the inside. We force ourself to do what's right, and restrain ourself from doing what's wrong. But it doesn't work. You have to want to change on the inside. Jesus said that you cannot put new wine into old bottles (luk.5:36- 39). This is why some of us will receive a little milk here and there, but as soon as God tries to give us some wine and some meat we are offended. It's called surface religion. It looks good, sounds good and feels good on the outside. But that's as far as it goes. Jesus said, "Even so you also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity." (mat.23:28). You have to clean first that which is within, that the outside may be clean also (mat.23:26). You have to receive the word of God on the inside -- in your heart. Some people say, "O, if I had only been alive in the days of Jesus, I would have done this for him..." or, "I would have done that for him...." No you wouldn't. You would not have done anything any different for him then than you are doing now. If you had been alive in Jesus' day, you probably would have either had him put to death, or you would have misunderstood half of what he said (mat.23:30,act.7:51). You would have been no closer to him in your heart then than you are today. Jesus said, "You hypocrites, well did Isaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draw close to me with their mouth, and honour me with their lips; but their heart is far from me."(mat.15:7-8). You have to quit trying to please God in your natural mind and start worshipping him wholeheartedly in your spirit which is your soul, your inner man, your heart. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God (rom.8:8). God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (jhn.4:24). Paul said, "Though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more [after the flesh]."(IIcor.5:16). Jesus got all over Peter about this. Peter's flesh wanted to worship a flesh God -- Jesus in the flesh (mat.16). We better get out of this flesh stuff. Jesus told the woman at the well, "You worship you know not what..."(jhn.4:22). It's time for us to know what we worship. We better know who we worship. We need to know Jesus in spirit and in truth. Purge out therefore the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth [Jesus] (Icor.5:7-8). "For I spoke not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices: but this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people: and walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you."(jer.7:22-23). In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin God has had no pleasure (heb.10:6). To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice (prv.21:3). He said, "For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings."(hos.6:6). We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all (heb.10:10): having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances (eph.2:15): blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross (col.2:14). The law of circumcision and animal sacrifices and such were done away with at Calvary; but the ten commandments, written with the finger of God, written by God himself, were never done away with (ex.31:18,mat.19:16,17). For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (jhn.1:17). "He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second." wrote Paul (heb.10:9). Christ is our passover. Jesus is the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. At the very last passover before the new covenant began Jesus took bread and broke it and gave it to his disciples saying, "Take, eat; this is my body." And he took the cup and gave it to them saying, "Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."(mat.26:26-28). Jesus took the bread and the cup as an example of his own flesh and blood and gave it to the disciples. Jesus said, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."(5:17). When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming unto him he said, "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."(jhn.1:29). Jesus is our sacrificial lamb. Jesus is our unleavened bread. Jesus is our passover. But we have to hunger and thirst after him with our soul. We have to eat his flash and drink his blood (jhn.6:53-58). We have to labour for that meat which endures unto everlasting life (jhn.6:27). We have to eat our daily bread from heaven (mat.6:11). We have to eat the Word (jhn.1:1,14,mat.26:26-28,mrk.14:22- 24). God said, "Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it."(psa.81:10). But slothfulness casts into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger (prv.19:15). We have to labour and hunger and thirst for him with our whole heart. The Psalmist wrote, "The meek shall eat and be satisfied....... For he satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness."(psa.22: 26;107:9). Jesus said, "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled."(mat.5:6). Some of us are missing God time after time because of our pre-conceived understanding of his word, so that when he does try to reveal the meaning of a scripture to us we refuse to believe it (prv.3:5;26:12,is.65:2). Jesus said, "Why do you not understand my speech? even because you cannot hear my word.", and, "My word has no place in you."(jhn.8:37,43). We have to put off our old religious spirit first and get out of our own understanding and then open our hearts wide and God will fill us. God is trying to fill us right now. This is what is called dealing spiritual bread to the hungry soul (is.58:7). This is what is called rightly dividing the word of truth (IItim.2:15). You may not like what I'm saying, but it is scripture (IItim.3:16-17,IIpet.1:20-21, jhn.13:20,luk.10:16,Iths.4:8). Some people believe that we are still living under the law of Moses: an eye for an eye; a tooth for a tooth; a life for a life (dut.19:21). Some of us believe that an adulterer should be stoned, or that a murderer should be given the death penalty, forgetting that whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all (jam.2:10). When you offend in one point, when you commit one sin, you are guilty of breaking every law. You are no better than the adulterer or the murderer in God's eyes (luk.13:1-5). You may not have committed murder or adultery or some other particular sin with your body, but at one time or another in your life you did it in your heart, and it is all the same thing as far as God is concerned (mat.5:28;15:19-20, mrk.7:21-23,Ijhn.3:15). And do you think this, O man, that judge them which do such things, and do the same, that you shall escape the judgment of God? (rom.2:3,mat.6:15;7:2). Isn't it ironic? Jesus came into the world to save sinners. He gave his life for the life of the world (Itim.1:15,jhn.6:51). When you and I were in sin Jesus forgave us, yet we are condemning others (rom.5:8, eph.2:1-9). Paul said, "But even unto this day when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart."(IIcor.3:15). Well, even to this day when the New Testament is read the vail is still on some of our hearts. We are studying the word with our mind, but we are not seeking the Spirit with our heart: because when God speaks to us to try to draw us closer to him, we say, "But, I don't believe that is God." Sometimes we disapprove of God's messenger. Sometimes we disapprove of God's message. Jesus said that you judge after the flesh (jhn.8: 15). If your heart's ear were opened to God's word, then you would get your eyes off of flesh and off of the natural: because there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus (gal.3:28). When Jesus comes into your heart and takes control, you are a new creature made in his image: you are God's Jew: your inner man is born again. For he is not a Jew which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter (rom.2:28,29). You are not a white, black or Chinese Christian; and you are not a male or female Christian. When you receive Jesus into your soul, then you are a born again son of God: born of God's race. You are not a male or female of a flesh and blood race in Christ. As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (jhn.1:12,13). For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers (heb.2:10,11). And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore you are no more a servant, but a son (gal.4:6,7). "Now are we the sons of God..." said John (Ijhn.3:2). In the beginning God didn't call the woman Eve, Adam gave her that name (gen.3:20). God made male and female and called their name Adam (5:2). Some of us are still judging after the flesh because we are not living and walking in the Spirit. Jesus said, "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." (jhn.7:24). It's time to let Jesus remove the vail from our hearts. God said, "I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son."(rev.21:6,7). It is the seed of God in our hearts which brings us back to our place in God. It is the Son seed, the tree of life seed, Jesus our passover, the Word made flesh in us which restores our son-ship status and gives us power to overcome! ~ Chapter Eight ~ Clean First That Which Is Within It's time to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit (IIcor.7:1). How many husbands or wives would put up with a spouse who told them, "Honey, my heart belongs to you, but my body belongs to another?" Would you? Well, we are the body of Christ, and members in particular (Icor. 12:27). We are Christ's bride and Jesus is our husband (is.54:5,jer.3:14, IIcor.11:2,eph.5:26-32,rev.19:7-8). If some of us were as unfaithful to our spouse as we are to our Lord, they would have up and left us long ago. It's time to wake up and realize what we are in Christ. Paul said, "Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."(Icor.6:20). You are not your own. Jesus bought your body as well as your spirit (6:19,20). I know that we all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (rom.3:23), but that's not an excuse to continue sinning after you have repented. Jesus frees you from sin. Once you come to Jesus truly repented, he takes that sin out of you and you don't want to go back to it. If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed (jhn.8:36)! If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (Ijhn.1:9). A just man falls seven times, and rises up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief (prv.24:16). Many "Christians" are into mischief right now. God said, "Among my people are found wicked men..."(jer.5:26). Today most religious people and most church people have their minds on the world and on worldly things. Some of you may have put on a different look outwardly, but in your heart you are still of the world. Why? because your old man isn't crucified with Christ because you still have the world in your heart. You are not denying yourself and taking up your cross daily. You are not rising and praying always. Your old man is refusing to die and you are accepting it. A spirit of anti-christ, another Jesus, has replaced the daily sacrifice in your life with the pleasures of this world. You are partaking of the world and making excuses to justify your deeds. But you are still part of the world. Some of you would rather believe a lie than the truth. You choose to believe in part truths and in misguided and misguiding preachers who are tickling your ears with good words and fair speeches of rapture, celebration and material gain: because you have turned away your ears from the truth and have been turned unto fables(rev.13:16-17;IIthes.2:3-12;rom.16:18;Itim.6:5; IItim.4:3-4). Now I am going to give you another piece of meat, so don't throw it up. God said, "When I say unto the wicked, You shall surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right he shall surely live... None of his sins that he has committed shall be mentioned unto him..."(ezk.33:14-16). And God said, "When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he has committed, he shall die for it."(33:13). You may say, "Yes, but that was the Old Testament; now-a-days Jesus is the sacrifice for our sins." Well, you do err not knowing the scriptures. Read what else the New Testament says: If we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins (heb.10:26). Well, so much for that "once saved always saved" myth. Jesus said, "If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin."(jhn.15:22), "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required..."(luk.12: 48). "Yet you say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?... Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, says the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby you have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dies, says the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live."(ezk.18:25,30- 32). Whether you know it or not, every sin you ever did in your life came from your heart. Jesus said that when you look at someone, other than your spouse, with sexual thoughts you are committing adultery (mat.5:28). John said that if you hate [or hold any grudge (lev.19:18)] you are a murderer (Ijhn.3: 15). Paul said, "Every sin that a man does is without the body..."(Icor.6:18). Jesus said, "Out of the heart proceed evil thoughts... these are the things which defile a man..."(mat.15:19). Some people are not outwardly practicing sin, but they are practicing it inwardly. Jesus said to clean first that which is within that the outside may be clean also (23:26). Some of us are cleaning the outside but not the inside. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." "For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourns; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right. For both prophet and priest are profane; yes, in my house have I found their wickedness, says the Lord."(jer.17:9-10;23:10-11). Some of us would prefer not knowing what all is in our hearts. But we better wake up and seek God to remove all sin from our hearts. God said that if we will turn from our sin and come out from among these false teachings and do that which is lawful and right and restore the pledge, which is to return to him with our whole heart truly repenting and believing his word, then he will take us back (jer.3:1,ez.33:13-17). "Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts."(mal.3:4-7). He said that he will dwell in us and walk in us and will be our God and we shall be his people. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God (IIcor.6:16-18;7:1). Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (jam.4:7). God does not tempt man. Every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. So don't blame God or anyone else. Get that sin out of your heart and you won't keep repeating it. Whether it be the lust for pre-marital or extra-marital sex (not the normal sexual relationship between a husband and wife (gen.2:21-24,mat.19:4-6), drugs, alcohol, envy, fame, fortune, etc. Then when lust is conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death [separation from God] (jam.2:13-15). For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (rom.6:23). Sin separates us from God. But godly sorrow works repentance to salvation which reconciles us back to God through the blood of Jesus Christ which cleanses us from all sin (IIcor.5:19;7:10,Ijhn.1:7). There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful , who will not allow you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it (Icor.10:13): if you want to escape. If you are unable to escape from a temptation, or a so called "habit", it's because you don't really want to escape from it and Satan has you bound by it. But wait just a minute, greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world, right? Then you have no excuse. When you come to Jesus in faith, sincerely and honestly repented, he forgives you and casts all your sins into the depths of the sea (mic.7:19). He loosens the bands of wickedness and undoes the heavy burdens: he lets the oppressed go free and breaks every yoke (to break some stubborn bondages you may have to fast (mat.17:19-21) (is.58:5-11). He creates a clean heart in you; and renews a right spirit within you (psa.51:10,ezk.11:19,20). You are a new creature made in His image: old things are passed away (IIcor.5: 17). God said, "Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."(ezk.36:25-26). "I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed you."(is.44:22). ~ Chapter Nine ~ Come Out Of Her, My People The human soul cannot be sustained on the milk of the word alone. Jesus said that if you don't eat His flesh you have no life in you. Many preachers today are not feeding their flocks with the meat of God's word. Christians today are starving to death spiritually. Their preachers are feeding them with everything but God's meat. They are telling their congregations that they can sin and still serve Jesus. Well, they are calling Jesus a liar. Jesus said, "Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin."(jhn.8:34), and, "No servant can serve two masters..."(luk.16:13). Let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning (Ijhn.3:7,8). You cannot be partakers of the Lord's table and of the table of devils (Icor.10:21). Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that has clean hands and a pure heart (psa.24:3,4). He that confesses and forsakes his sins shall have mercy (28:13). Arise and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction (mic.2:10). These big-shot Hollywood style TV preachers along with these so called priests of God are teaching lies. Jesus said, "He that gathers not with me scatters abroad."(mat. 12:30). They are scattering God's people with every wind of doctrine. The Bible says they are wells without water (IIpet.2:17)-- they are like clouds and wind without rain (prv.25:14). It's mostly religious entertainment and show business designed to appeal to the flesh to appease or pacify our five sense knowledge. "Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! says the Lord. Therefore this says the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; You have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, says the Lord."(jer.23:1,2). God is angry with the preachers today who are compromising his word. God is jealous. The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm (nhm.1:2). "I am full of fury... I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out....... I am weary with repenting."(jer.6:11;15:6). The anger of the Lord shall not return until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days you shall consider it perfectly. "I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my counsel and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings. Am I a God at hand, says the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him?" (jer.23:20-24). God said that we have strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life (ezk.13:22). Today, many preachers are promising eternal life to and strengthening the hands of the wicked by saying, "As long as you confess Jesus as your personal saviour you don't have to quit sin altogether." God said, "[They] cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness..."(jer.23:32). He said, "They are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah."(23:14). They return, but not to the most High (hos.7:12-16). They return to lukewarm damnable religious heresies (IIpet.2:1-22,rev.3:16). Joshua said, "You cannot serve the Lord: for he is a holy God; he is a jealous God..."(jsh.24:19). The Lord said that he is married to us (jer.3:14). Paul said, "You should be married to [Jesus]"(rom.7:4), "For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ." (IIcor.11:2). Isaiah said, "Your Maker is your husband..."(is.54:5). God said, "Surely as a wife treacherously departs from her husband so have you dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel."(jer.3:20). "Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for you have gone a whoring from your God, you have loved a reward upon every cornfloor. The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her."(hos.9:1-2). "Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there has been no latter rain; and you had a whore's forehead, you refused to be ashamed."(jer.3:3). We are committing spiritual adultery against God when we take heed to these false teachings that these so called preachers of God are teaching (IIcor.11:4,gal.1:6-8). We cannot practice pagan customs and traditions by labeling it "Christianity" and not expect God to be angry. We may be sincere in our intentions, but we are sincerely wrong. Paul said that a little leaven leavens the whole lump (gal.5:9). Many so called "Christian" traditions, including those associated with Christmas and Easter, have nothing to do with true Christianity. It's not hard to find this out if you are really interested in the truth. Pagans and heathens practiced these traditions and customs to honor and worship their gods long before Jesus was ever born. Nowhere in the Bible does it say we are to celebrate Jesus' birthday. The Apostle John said that this is how we'll know the spirit of error: they are of the world: therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them (Ijhn.4:5). The majority of people worldwide, religious and non-religious alike, celebrate pagan holidays in one way or another: only the names have been changed to Christianity to deceive the hearts of the simple (rom.16:17-18). John said, "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."(Ijhn.2:19). In the early days of the church some departed from the faith and mixed paganism with Christianity. And with the so-called conversion of the emperor Constantine in 312 A.D., what was professed to be Christianity came into favored status with the Roman state. But what we need to realize is that people with a very limited understanding of the truth were now having a great influence upon molding and shaping what was known as Christianity. And in 321 A.D., Constantine (a leader of what is known today as Catholicism), attempting to make Christianity more acceptable to the world, and willing to appease the religious persecutors of his day, changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday and merged with the pagans and the pagan gods. As far as borrowing these practices and applying them to worship the true Jesus, God's word couldn't be more plain, "Learn not the way of the heathen... For the customs of the people are vain..."(jer.10:2-4), and, "You shall not do so unto the Lord your God..."(dut.12:30,31). In fact neither the Apostles themselves nor any of the true Christians in the early church observed Jesus' birthday; nor did they practice any of the rituals connected with modern Easter celebrations: because it was and is considered paganism plainly spelled out in God's word. "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." exclaimed Paul (gal.1:8). "For we write none other things unto, than what you read or acknowledge; and I trust you shall acknowledge even to the end."(IIcor.12,13). If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book (rev.22:18,19). "I will do these things unto thee," God said, "because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols."(ezk.23:30). Teaching this pre-tribulation rapture stuff is also just as deceiving as teaching purgatory or pagan holidays because it is contrary to scripture: it is contrary to sound doctrine. I'll give you many Bible scriptures in other chapters of this book to disprove this pre-tribulation rapture theory once and for all. The reason why some of these preachers are teaching a pre- tribulation rapture, is because they know that they themselves are not ready, not willing, and not able to go through the great tribulation. And it's because they don't believe that the Church will be able to go through it either. Therefore they are not teaching God's people how to prepare and how to become overcomers without spot and without blemish (eph.5:27,IIpet.3:14,rev. 14:5). God said that they prophesy lies in his name (jer.23:25), and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple (rom.16:18). For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind (hos.8:7). The wind shall eat up all your pastors (jer.22:22). The winds of doctrines of men are blowing. This is the wind Jesus warned us about: winds of doctrines: false teachings. He said that whosoever hears these sayings of his, and does them, he will liken him unto a wise man, which built a house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not: when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it. And every-one that hears these sayings of his, and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man which built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and immediately it fell (mat.7:24,25,26,luk.6: 48,49). If you have not digged deep into the word, deep into Jesus, then chances are you have already fallen for these winds and floods of falsehood. You are on shaky ground: you are no longer on the foundation of Jesus Christ when you adhere to these false teachings. Paul said that Israel had a zeal of God, but that it was not according to knowledge; and as a result Jesus was rejected by His own people (rom.10:1- 3,jhn.1:11). Some of us have a zeal of God, a strong desire to do something for Jesus; but sometimes it is not according to knowledge. God said, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children. As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame. They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity. And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings. For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the Lord."(hos.4:6-10). God said, "Behold, you trust in lying words, that cannot profit. Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom you know not; and come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?"(jer.7:8-10). "My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declares unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms have caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God."(hos.4: 12). "A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will you do in the end thereof?"(jer.5:30,31). "Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge."(prv.19:27). "Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues."(rev.18:4). This is the great whore church which is the Jezebel spirit that Jesus is warning us to come out of and to forsake all of her false teachings and pagan practices (rev.2&17&18,jer.11:9-11;44:4,ezk.20:8). Read your bible. Read your history. It was Jezebel and others like her who brought in all of this false worship. God said, "Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned my holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they showed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord God, when the Lord has not spoken."(ezk.22:26-28). "As for you, O house of Israel thus saith the Lord God; Go, serve everyone his idol, and hereafter also, if you will not hearken unto me: but pollute my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols."(ezk.20: 39). "For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride. And it shall come to pass, when you shall show this people all these words, and they shall say unto you, Wherefore has the Lord pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the Lord our God? Then shall you say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the Lord, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law; and you have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, you walk every-one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me..."(jer.16:9-12). "Come out from among them." "COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE."(IIcor.6: 17,rev.18:4). "For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies."(rev.18:3). "And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works."(2:21-23). "My people, go out of the midst of her, and deliver every man his soul from the fierce anger of the Lord."(jer.51:45). It is time to return to Jesus. It is time to forsake all of these false beliefs, humble ourselves, repent and return to our first love! O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto you from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit (jer.16:19). ~ Chapter Ten ~ Famine And Restoration Of The Word Awake you drunkards and weep, and howl all you drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth... The field is wasted, the land mourns; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languishes... Gird yourselves, and lament, you priests: howl, you ministers of the alter: come, lie all night in sackcloth, you ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withheld from the house of your God... Is not the meat cut off before our eyes, yes, joy and gladness from the house of our God? (jol.1:5,10,13,16). Behold, the days come, says the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord (ams.8:11). There is a spiritual famine among many in the Christian religious community these days. So few today are preaching the truth of God's word. God's children are being tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by these lukewarm preachers who are feeding them with part truths and outright lies. They are teaching this trinity lie, this pagan holiday falsehood and this pre-tribulation rapture lie. God said, "O my people, they which lead you cause you to err..."(is.3:12). He said, "The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spoke unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart."(jer.14:14), "Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord. They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord has said, You shall have peace; and they say unto every-one that walks after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you."(23:16,17), "Therefore will I scatter them as the stubble that passes away by the wind of the wilderness. This is your lot, the portion of your measures from me, says the Lord; because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood."(jer.13:24). If you are a sincere Christian, or someone who has just begun to honestly seek God from your heart, if you truly hunger and thirst after righteousness, really hungering and thirsting for God, like Job said, "I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food."(job.23:12), then you know deep down inside of yourself that something is missing with most of these modern day preachers. The Psalmist cried out to God, "As the deer pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after you, O God... My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is your God? When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday....... My soul thirsts for you, my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is..." (psa.42:1-4;63:1). Amos prophesied, "They shall run to and fro to hear the word of the Lord..." [God is talking about his people here] They shall run to and fro to hear the word of the Lord, and shall not find it. In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst (ams.8:12,13) -- for thirst of the meat of God's word -- for thirst of the true latter rain outpouring of God's fulness. Daniel said that at the time of the end many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall be increased (dan.12:4). Worldly Knowledge has been increased more in just the past five decades than in the past five-thousand years combined. Just within the last few decades alone both spiritual and natural knowledge have been increased at an accelerated pace. Jesus said that in the days before the end of the world many would come in his name and deceive many (mat.24:3-6). The Apostle John said that many deceivers are entered into the world (IIjhn.7), and even more so now than ever before. So we know that right now are the days that Jesus and the prophets spoke of. But God said that He will purify a people before the end to stand against this flood of deception (dan.12:10,mal.3:17-18). God is raising up an army in these last days, an army of true believers who will not compromise with the world. An army of sold out, sanctified, tried, purged and purified people who will bring forth fruit to perfection: the fruit of God's word: the very life of Jesus Christ made manifest in their mortal flesh (IIcor.4:10): filled with all the fulness of God (eph.3:19): the measure of the stature of the fulness of Jesus Christ in you, the hope of glory (4:13): the Word in you without measure (jhn.3:34,eph.3:18,19): the manifestation of the sons of God (rom.8:17)! When we return to Jesus with our whole heart, when we return to prayer and fasting and begin to esteem the words of his mouth more than our necessary food God is going to restore the fulness of his word to us: when we fall in love with his word and desire it more than anything else in the world. God is purging a people right now who are bringing forth his word in deed and in truth, not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power (Icor.2:4). The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power (4:20). Jesus said, "He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do..."(jhn. 14:12). The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former (hag.2:9). Jesus showed us this right from the beginning. This is why he went to that marriage in Cana. Listen, "Every man at the beginning does set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse; but you have kept the good wine until now."(jhn.2:10). God is raising up sons and daughters in the wilderness and sending them forth with his word to the lost and to the hungry. God is raising up some no- bodies: people in your midst whom you may never have considered or whom you may have considered to be the least likely to be used by God. John the Baptist told the people, "There stands one among you, whom you know not."(jhn.1:26). All too often we judge and misjudge trying to choose God's people, forgetting that it is God that chooses whomsoever he will (jhn.7:24;8:15). Jesus said, "You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you." "Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with my own?"(jhn.15:16,mat.20:15). Right now God is trying to purge some of us and raise us up to preach His gospel of the kingdom, if we would only humble ourselves and give up our own self-righteous way of serving him. If we will call on him with our whole heart, not two-thirds, three- fourths or nine-tenths: if we will seek only his approval, not our own or any- one else's, and make ourselves a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use: then God can use us (mat.24:14,IItim.2:21). Then God will use us to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out devils in Jesus' name, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord: and these signs shall follow them that believe. The day of Christ is at hand. The Lord is at hand. The kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel (mat.10:8,luk.4:19,mrk.1:15;16:17,phl.4:15,IIths.2:2)! "Say not ye, there are yet four months, and then comes harvest?" Some of us believe that there are yet four months, or four years, or forty years and then comes harvest. But Jesus said, "Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."(jhn.4: 35). When Jesus saw the multitudes he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then says he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest (mat.9:36-38). We are his labourers. God said, "My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yes, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them... neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock... Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out... I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and I will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment."(ezk.34:6,8,11,16). Jesus said that He is come to seek and to save that which was lost (luk.19:10). He said, "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."(mat.15:24). Jesus came into the world to save sinners (Itim.1:15). We need to be and must be moved with compassion on them just as Jesus was (mat.9:36;10:5-8). Some of us are judging sinners when we should be praying for them: and I don't mean praying for them out of a self-righteous attitude, but out of sincerity, really meaning it. We are labourers together with God (Icor.3:9). Paul said, "We then as workers together with Him, beseech you also that you receive not the grace of God in vain. (For He says, I have heard you in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured you: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)"(IIcor.6:1,2). The fields are white already to harvest: what are we waiting for? Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near (is.55:6). The Lord is near unto all that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth (psa.145:18). He said, "Those that seek me early shall find me." (prv.8:17). "And [ I ] will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth."(jer.33:6). "And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart....... And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart."(24:7;29:13). "For who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the Lord. And you shall be my people, and I will be your God."(30:21,22). God said, "Ask me of things to come concerning my sons...."(is.45:11). "Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not."(jer.33:3). Get real with God and he will get real with you. He will speak to you out of his word. He will speak to you in dreams and in visions. He will lead you and guide you into all truth and show you things to come (jhn.14:26;16:13). We need to be in the place with God right now where he is in total control of our hearts, minds and faculties: possessed by God, leading us where we wouldn't go (jhn.21:18). This is the only way we are going to escape the things that are coming on the earth, and even now are on the earth. Just being a good decent living Christian is not going to be enough to get us through these things. People, we better wake up! We are already in the beginning of sorrows (mat.24:8); but we are about to go through the worst troubles that have ever been: wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke (act.2:19): great tribulation: even the time of Jacob's trouble (jer.30:7). The Church is not going anywhere. Many are about to have a rude awakening. "This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled." Jesus foretold (mrk.13:30,luk.21:23). He said, "After the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven..."(mat.24:29). He said "After" this happens, after the tribulation, then he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds (mat.24:31,mrk.13:24-30). Jesus was seen by hundreds if not thousands of people after his resurrection as he stayed on the earth many days teaching his disciples (Icor. 15:6). And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, You men of Galilee, why stand gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven (act.1:9-11). Jesus is coming back in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory: and every eye shall see him (mat.24:30,rev.1:7). So there goes that secret rapture theory down the toilet. Jesus said to take heed that no man deceive you. "And they shall say to you, See here; or see there: go not after them, nor follow them." "Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."(mat24:4,25-27,luk.17: 23). Whether you want to hear it or not, the Church is going to go through the great tribulation. In Revelation twelve when Satan was cast out into the earth in the time of these tribulations, who did he persecute? He went to make war with who? the Church: the true Christians -- they that loved not their lives unto the death -- they that keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ -- these which follow the Lamb wheresoever he goes - - they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus (rev.12:11,17; 14:4,12). God is trying to prepare us. He tells us over and over again in his word that the Church is going to go through these tribulations. Read these scriptures: jhn.17:15,psa.91,eph.6:13,IIcor.5:2-3,is.52:1,eph.5:26-27,rev.7:2- 3,Icor.15:51-52,rev.10:7,col.1:26,Ipet.5:10,Ijhn.4:17,luk.17:20-23,mat.13:30, 40,is.4,jhn.6:54,mat.25:1-12,luk.13:24-28,mat.7:21-23,mat.22:2-14,IIpet.3:10, Icor.15:24,rev.20, and there is more. These are they which came out of great tribulation -- you can't come out of something that you didn't go into -- these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb (rev.7:14). God is purging us and purifying us through these tribulations. Paul said that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God (act.14:22). God said, "I have refined you, but not with silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction."(is.48:10). God didn't take Daniel out of the lion's den: he kept him alive and safe in the lion's den (dan.6:16-23). God didn't take Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego out of the fiery furnace: he kept them alive and safe in the fiery furnace (3:13-28). Jesus said, "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil."(jhn.17:15). Daniel said, "Many shall be purified, and made white and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand."(dan.12:10). And the ears of them that hear shall hearken (is.32:3). God said that we have ears but we don't hear (jer.5:21). We are not going to be able to understand what God is doing if we don't give up this lukewarm religious stuff and remember from whence we are fallen, and repent and do the first works, and return to our first love, Jesus (rev.2:5). But the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil many days (dan.11: 32,33). Jesus said that you are going to be betrayed by friends and relatives, and some of you shall they cause to be put to death, "And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake."(luk.21). The world may hate you, your enemies may persecute you, and your friends may forsake you; but there is one who will never leave you nor forsake you: and his name is Jesus. He said, "Come unto me, all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."(mat.11:28-30), "...and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out."(jhn.6:37). You might be at a place in your life where you feel that all hope is gone and that you are all alone. But rest assured that you are not alone: for He has said, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you."(heb.13:5), and, "I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."(mat.28:20). God promised us, "As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you..."(is.66:13). Jesus is come to restore broken bodies, broken minds and broken hearts: whatever your need may be (luk.4:18). Jesus said, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes."(mrk. 9:23). The Lord has not forsaken them that seek him (psa.9:9). Now when they shall fall, they shall be helped with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries (dan.11:34). This is exactly what is happening today: many are cleaving to those with religious flatteries. We are either going to let God chastise us and purge us and use us to fight with his army, or we are going to cleave to them with flatteries and fight against his army thinking we are doing God a favor. Jesus said that the time comes that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service (jhn.16:2). And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed (dan.11:35). Many are going to go into confusion when they realize that they are in the tribulation and the Church has not been raptured out. In fact many are confused and many are offended right now over this rapture business. Jesus said, "And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another."(mat.24:10). He said. "These things have I spoken unto you, that you should not be offended... But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, you may remember that I told you of them."(jhn.16:1, 4), "And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me."(mat.11:6). And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army (jol.2:11)-- these soldiers are going to be made fat with the meat of God's word, filled with all the fulness of God: the fulness of the word of God made manifest in our mortal bodies (IIcor.4:10,11). God is going to reign and rule through us in this world (rev.2:26-29). Jesus said that some of you do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God (mat.22:29). Some of you are going to question this just like they did in Jesus' days saying, "What is this? what new doctrine is this?" If you don't get in God's word and stay in it, and watch and pray always, you'll miss out on what God is doing. You'll call evil good, and good evil: you'll blaspheme against the Holy Ghost if you don't take heed to what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Paul said that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed (rom.13:11). Jesus said that when these things, the tribulations and sorrows and prophecies begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh (luk.21:28). John said, "And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kindom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night."(rev.12:10). Satan will no longer be able to hinder our prayers (zch.3:1-9,dan.10:12-13). And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book (dan.12:1). Strengthen the weak hands, and comfirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you (is.35:3-4). And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executes his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? (jol.2:11). Isaiah prophesied, "Whosoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake... No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, says the Lord."(is.54:15,17). These are they which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus (Iths.4:15,rev.14:12). Some of us will give our lives for the testimony of Jesus, but some of us will remain. Jesus said, "Nevertheless when the Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth?"(luk.18:8). If we want to be a part of this last day move of God we better start believing His Word. For we have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but we have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who has subjected the same in hope, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body (rom.8:15-23). This army is the man child the Church gave birth to who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron (rev.2:26-27;12:17). This army is the hundred and forty-four thousand servants of God who are sealed with the seal of the living God in their foreheads, that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst of the Church (ezk.9:4); and the great multitude which no man could number, of all nations, kindreds, people and tongues, which have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple (here in this world, because there is no night in heaven) (rev.7,heb.4:16). These are they that know their God and shall be strong and do exploits (dan.11:32). These are they which were not defiled with women [false religious spirits]; for they are virgins [virgins to Christ]. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God (IIcor.11:2-4,rev.14:4-5; 12:5). This is the Church without spot and without blemish (eph.5:27). These are the sold out, cleaned out and purged vessels that God -- Jesus Christ -- now inhabits without measure to fulfill his word: to do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act (is.28:21). You didn't figure this stuff out, and neither did I: it is God who is revealing this to us. Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets; Behold, you despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which you shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you (act.13:40-41). Therefore also now, says the Lord, Turn even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repents him of the evil. Who knows if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the Lord your God? (jol.2:12-14). Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the alter, and let them say, Spare your people, O Lord, and give not your heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? Then will the Lord be jealous for his land, and pity his people (jol.2:15-18). Then will God restore the meat and the drink -- the Word -- to his people. Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he has given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And you shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that has dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed (jol.2:23-26). God is in the process of restoring at this time if we will receive it. ~ Chapter Eleven ~ Separating The Tares From The Wheat "Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you." said Jesus, "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches: he that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned."(jhn.15:3-6). It's time to seek Jesus with all of your heart and abide in the Vine, to go on to perfection and dwell in the secret place of the most High, to abide under the shadow of the Almighty (psa.91:1). It's time to let God have his whole way with us or else. Jesus said, "Every branch in me that bears not fruit he [God] takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit."(jhn.15:2). Are you being purged? Listen, That they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified (is.61:3). Jesus said, "Every plant, which my heavenly Father has not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."(mat.15:13,14). God is weeding his garden. The axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire (mat.3:10). Jesus said that the enemy, the devil, sowed tares among the wheat. But when the blade was sprung up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also (13:25,26). This charismatic, wishy-washy, hallelujah, praise the Lord, feel good religion junk is the tares among the wheat. Jesus said, "Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."(13:30). He said to gather together first the tares. Jesus is doing house cleaning right now. He is thoroughly purging his floor (mat.3:12,luk.3:17). He said, "Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."(jhn.4:35). For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God (Ipet.4:17). Jesus said, "When the fruit is brought forth, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest is come."(mrk.4:29). He said gather the tares first. And as it was in the days of Noah, and Lot, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man (luk.17:26,28). They were eating, drinking, marrying, buying, selling, planting, building, and knew not until the flood came and took them all away. The same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all (mat.24:38,39,luk.17:28,29). The winds are blowing, the tares are gathering, and a great flood of strong delusion is about to be released. We have had streams of delusion up to this point, but now floods of delusion are upon us -- strong delusion -- strong religious delusion (is.66:4,IIths.2:11,12,rev.12:15,16). Jesus said that the day Noah entered into the ark the flood came and took them all away. The ark represents the ark of the covenant which represents Jesus who is the Holy of Holies. It is time for God's people to enter into the ark, into the bond of the covenant, into that holy walk with God bringing forth the fulness of the fruit of his word. God's elect, his dedicated ones, are now entering into that place of refuge in God for a covert from storm and from rain; because the rain is falling and the flood is about to bust loose. Paul said, "They [the phonies] shall say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape."(Iths.5:13). For God has given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear; unto this day. God has shut their eyes that they cannot see; and their hearts that they cannot understand: HE that opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens (is.22:22;44:18,jhn.9:39,rom.11:8,rev.3:7). Jesus said that the flood came and took them all away. If we don't get out of the rain soon and enter into the ark, if we don't come out from under this lukewarm rain of false revival we'll be swept away with them. Jesus said that they were taking care of every-day business until the flood came and took them all away. Took who away? those that didn't enter into the ark; those that didn't dwell in the secret place of the most High; those that didn't dig deep into the word; those that didn't enter into that holy walk with God unspotted from the world. Jesus said, "Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left."(mat.24:40). Jesus is not talking about a rapture here. There is only one rapture, and it's only after the tribulation (24:29-34). Jesus is talking about a flood of delusion taking one and leaving the other. He is talking about fire and brimstone from heaven, judgment and wrath: a separating of the tares from the wheat. Who taken? and by what? Jesus said to gather together the tares first. Revelation twelve said that the serpent (Satan) cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman (the true Church) that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the flood (rev.12:15,16). The whole earth is swallowing up this flood of delusion: the "Christian" church-world is swallowing up this do as you please false revival like it's the real thing. Jesus said to take heed to yourselves lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (surfeiting means to over eat or to partake of anything to excess), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unaware. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth (luk.21:34,35). Too often our attention is on the cares of this life when it should be on Jesus. So who will be taken? and by what? those disciples who are too busy with the cares of this life; those who are too busy eating, drinking, marrying, buying, selling, planting and building; those who are not watching and praying always and searching the scriptures daily to know whether these things are so; those who come to the wedding without a wedding garment; those who have not washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb; those who have not kept themselves unspotted from the world: these will be taken away by this great flood of delusion and deception that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness (IIths.2:11,12). These are the tares that Jesus said will be taken out of his kingdom: taken with the rest of the world. The Church is not going to be taken until after the Antichrist at the end of the world. Who do you think the Beast made war with? with the Saints (rev.13:7): and you better believe these aren't wishy-washy Christians either. These are the are the sold out, dedicated, prayed up, read up, commandment keepers which have the testimony of Jesus Christ! These are the overcomers! Read Revelation chapter twelve. ~ Chapter Twelve ~ We Walk By Faith, Not By Sight Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for-ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but you see me: because I live, you shall live also. At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you." "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, "Father... I pray not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil." (jhn.14:15-20; 16:33;17:1,2). God's Church is going to be here during the great tribulation. God's people are going to live by their faith. You will no longer be able to buy your necessities without the mark of the Beast. You will no longer be able to go to the doctor without the mark of the Beast. You are going to have to learn how to live by your faith in Jesus. The Bible said that the just shall live by his faith (hab.2:4,heb.10:38). Paul said, "For we walk by faith, not by sight ..." (IIcor.5:7). Jesus said, "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you."(jhn.15:7). Paul said, "My God shall supply all your need..."(phl.4:19). The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know your name will put their trust in you: for you, Lord, have not forsaken them that seek you....... God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (psa.9:9-10;46:1). God will meet his people's spiritual and natural needs now and during the great tribulation period: those that know the scriptures and the power of God, and refuse to be deceived by the Antichrist, and reject the mark of the Beast. The wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just (prv.13:22,job.27:17). We need to start living and walking by our faith in Jesus right now: casting all our care upon Him; for He cares for us (Ipet.5:7): and stop relying on man. Paul said, "My speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." (Icor.2:4-5). But he said, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."(rom.10:17). If we have ears to hear we need to start hearing God's word. God said, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..."(hos.4:6). We must dig deep into the word and believe it. Isaiah prophesied, "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." (is.53:4,5). It is God's will to heal you as well as save you. If you don't believe that it is God's will to heal you, then why go to the doctor or take medicine when you are sick? The Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (IIpet.3:9). It is not God's will that any perish, nor is it his will that any be sick. You might ask, "If it is not God's will that any be sick, then why are so many people, including good Christians, sick today?" Well, it is not God's will that any perish, right? but that's not stopping some people from doing wicked things and perishing and going to hell, is it? You don't know what is in someone else's heart, even a good Christian's heart for that matter. There may be doubt there. There may be a feeling that for one reason or another they can't be healed. Or maybe they just don't really want to be healed. The fact is that you don't know what all is in another person's heart. Don't misunderstand me. I am not saying that if you are sick you are going to go to hell. I am saying that if you are a child of God you don't have to be sick and you don't have to stay sick if you get sick. Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (IItim.2:15). "I speak as to wise men; judge what I say." Paul is exhorting us here and admonishing us. "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread [Jesus-- the Word made flesh]." "For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones."(Icor.10:15-17,eph.5:30,). Paul said, "For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep [sleep in the Lord]." He said that by not discerning the Lord's body, by not rightly dividing the word of truth, many are sick and many die prematurely and go on to be with the Lord (Icor.11:29,30). It is not God's will to take you home to heaven through some illness. For he does not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men (lam.3:33). Jesus said, "The thief [the Devil] comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."(jhn.10:10). Jesus is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them (luk.9:56). But I would not have you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning them which are asleep (passed away in the Lord), that you sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him (at the last day, of course, after the tribulation (so lay your grief aside; put away your guilt; give up your bitterness) (Iths.4:13,14,mat.24:29-34,mrk.13:24-30,jhn.6: 40,54). Many are perishing and many are sick because of unbelief. You have to believe in order to receive abundant life. Jesus healed all manner of sickness and disease among the people (mat.4:23). Great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them (15:30). As many as touched him were made whole (mrk.6:56). If you will touch Jesus with your faith, then you too will be made whole: soul, mind and body! If God created the vast natural universe, including the planet that you are on this very day, then how much easier is it for him to heal your natural body? He said, "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any- thing too hard for me?"(jer.32:27). Jesus said, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."(luk.18:27). For with God nothing shall be impossible (luk.1:37). God is a miracle God! He said, "My son, attend to my words; incline your ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh."(prv.4:20-22), and, "I am the Lord that heals you."(ex.15:26). Jesus shed his blood for your salvation and for your healing: who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed. For you were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls (Ipet.2:24-25). It is done! It is finished! (jhn.19:30,act.2:38-39)-- Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law (gal.3:13). If you are a washed in the blood, born again, new creature in Christ, then this abundant life of Jesus, by Jesus, and in Jesus is yours for the asking (mat.7:7-11,luk.11:9-13). Jesus said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"(mat.7:7-11). It doesn't matter who you are. If you are the worst sinner in the world just come to Jesus and he will give you a new life. "Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." "And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive." "And nothing shall be impossible unto you." said Jesus (mat.17:20;21:22,luk.12:32). Believe it! Receive it! For there has not failed one word of all his good promises (Ikng.8:56,is.34:16,mat.24:35, rev.21:5). Hear the word. Eat the word. Eat his flesh and drink his blood. Hear it... eat it... receive it in your heart... and practice it in faith! ~ Chapter Thirteen ~ The Highway Of Holiness "Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country. But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; but unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian." Jesus said. And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, and rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. But he passing through the midst of them went his way (luk.4:24-30). Jesus turned to his disciples and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes which see the things that you see: for I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which you hear, and have not heard them."(luk.10:23, 24). The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil. The Lord is far from the wicked: but he hears the prayer of the righteous (psa.34:15,16,prv. 15:29,Ipet.3:12). I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes....... That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world (mat.11:25;13:35). The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant (psa.25:14). Jesus said, "It is given unto you [his elect] to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them [the tares, the phonies] it is not given."(mat.13:11). Remember the ten virgins? five went in with Jesus to the marriage: and the door was shut (mat.25). They weren't taken anywhere. They went into that holy walk with God. They're on the highway of holiness were the unclean shall not pass (is.35:8). Jesus said to pray for God's kingdom to come (mat.6:10). He then said that the kingdom of God is come: and that the kingdom of God comes not with observation... the kingdom of God is within you (luk.11:20;17:20,21). Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also."(jhn.14:2,3). Paul said that God has [presently] raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (eph.2:6), and has [now] translated us into the kingdom (col.1:13), the heavenly Jerusalem (heb.12:22), the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth (dut.11:21), which is the kingdom of God in you (jhn.14: 12-21). Deuteronomy chapter eleven verses ten through seventeen says, "For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs: but the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven: a land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year. And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, that I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thy oil. And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full. Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; and then the Lord's wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the Lord giveth you." This is the mystery which from the beginning of the world has been hid in God (eph.3:9). Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin (rom. 6:4-6). You are buried with Him in baptism, wherein also you are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God... Wherefore if you be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are you subject to ordinances, (touch not; taste not; handle not; which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth. For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God (col.2:12,20-23;3:1-3). Paul said that we are risen with Christ, not past tense, not future tense, but present tense. We are risen with Christ now. If you then be risen with Christ -- this is the first resurrection (rev.20:5,6). Jesus said, "I am the resurrection..."(jhn.11:25). Many bodies of the saints which slept arose and came out of the graves after his resurrection (mat.27:52,53). He said, "The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live." He said, "He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me... is passed from death unto life."(jhn.5:25,24). Paul said, "Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light."(eph.5:14). If we are waiting until after our heart stops beating to hear His voice, then we are missing the boat. Jesus said, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."(rev.3:20). The Spirit of God is moving upon the face of the earth. God is searching out the hearts of people everywhere and pouring out His Spirit on the hungry and raising up those that will hear His voice. Some church folk have a little voice speaking in their head, but it's not Jesus. If it were Jesus he would be guiding you into all truth and showing you the tribulation to come and preparing you for it, instead of teaching this pre-tribulation rapture damnation. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." and, "A stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers."(jhn.10:5,27). Jesus is knocking. Jesus is speaking. Hear, and your soul shall live (is.55:3). He said, "If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." This is the mystery which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith (rom.16:25,26)-- which is Christ in you [the Word in you], the hope of glory: whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus (col.1:27,28). In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him... to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man... to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fulness of God (eph.3:12,16,18,19). The sons of God, those men and women who are watching and praying always and seeking His word daily and fasting, those who are not compromising with false religions, are now going to be filled with all the fulness of God and will go forth in the power and wisdom of the Spirit preaching the pure unadulterated Word! "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the world unto our glory... Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches...." said Paul (Icor.2:7,13). God ordained this before the world for his offspring, the generation of Jesus Christ (psa.22:30-31,jhn.1:12-13,gal.3: 26-29): according as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love (eph.1:4). Jesus said, "Many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out..."(mat.8:11,12). He said, "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and has shut the door, and you begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence you are: then shall you begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in your presence, and you have taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence you are; depart from me, all you workers of iniquity."(luk.13:24-27). The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and them which do iniquity (13:41) (Then comes the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God (Icor.15:24). Some people will make the role call in heaven whom you thought would not, and vice versa, some people will not make the role call in heaven whom you thought would surely make it (mat.20:16;25:31-46). "I am the door of the sheep." "I am the way." proclaimed Jesus (jhn.10: 7;14:6). Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it (mat.7:14). And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it... but the redeemed shall walk there (is.35:8,9). He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber (jhn.10:1). "My face will I turn also from them," God said, "and they shall pollute my secret place [vineyard or sheepfold]: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it."(ezk.7:19-22). Some of us have not entered into the sheepfold, or vineyard, through the strait and narrow door, by the way of holiness; but have climbed up some other way, sneaking in through the window so to speak, through traditions, winds of doctrine and compromise. But Jesus said that the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (mat.8:11, 12). Jesus said that many are called, but few chosen (mat.20:11-16). Here is how to be chosen and how to be chosen not. First how to be chosen not, or not chosen: Jesus said, "And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and you have made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do you no wrong: did not you agree with me for a penny? Take that yours is, and go your way..."(20:11-14): God paid these off and sent them out of his vineyard, away from his presence. Now how to be chosen: Jesus said, "When you shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do."(luk.17:10). "Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard," God said, "they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourns unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man lays it to heart."(jer.12:10- 11). He said, "There shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry." (is.5:6,7). Ezekiel prophesied, "And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it."(ezk.7:21). "Christianity" today has become diluted and polluted. Jesus said, "I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them you shall kill... and persecute them from city to city... Behold, your house is left unto you desolate."(mat.23:34-38). Many of these churches today have been left desolate, void of God's true Spirit. And some of us are no better. We are like Samson. We don't even realize that the Lord's anointing has departed from us (jgs.16:20). Samson didn't realize it until it was too late. Isaiah prophesied, "Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant."(is.5:9). God is separating the sheep from the goats. A separating of the tares from the wheat is already underway (ezk.34:17-31). Fire and brimstone from heaven and this flood of strong delusion is nearer than we might think. And we are not going to be able to escape it if we don't enter in by the door into the sheepfold into that holy place with God: if we don't strive to enter into that holy sin-free marriage with Jesus, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: if so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked (Icor.5:2,3). Many people, including these pleasure and treasure seeking church goers, believe that they are clothed with God's Spirit; but they have covered with a covering which is not of His Spirit (is.30:1). Paul said that they have received another Jesus, a counterfeit spirit (IIcor.11:2-4,IIths.2:7): because it does not practice true holiness, which is pure, undefiled, sin-free, unspotted from the world holiness: unspotted from man's customs, traditions and doctrines. Some people believe that they are rich in God's word supposing that material gain is godliness (Itim.6:5). Some people believe that they are guarantied a place in heaven because they are prosperous. Not so: for God makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil (mat.5: 45,luk.6:35)(until His patience runs out (is.65:1-6,jer.6:10-15;15:6,Iths.5:1- 3,jam.5:1-6). But a little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked (psa.37:16). Some people believe that they have it made with God, because they say, I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing; and know not that they are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked (rev.3:17). You have forgotten that it is the Lord your God that gives you power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant (dut.8:18). Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you. You have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton (jam.5:3,5). Jesus said, "I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye-salve, that you may see."(rev.3:18). Hear, you deaf; and look, you blind, that you may see. Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the Lord's servant? seeing many things, but you observe not; opening the ears, but he hears not....... They are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every-one for his gain, from his quarter (is.42:18-20;56:11). For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's (phl.2:21). ~ Chapter Fourteen ~ The Mystery Of Iniquity Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not (jer.5:21). Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come? (is.42: 23). Who among you will hear this? for the time to come has come. But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that gives rain, both the former and the latter, in his season (jer.5:23,24). Paul said, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first..."(IIths.2:3). There's already come a falling away first: many have fallen away from God's true holiness. Today many claim holiness but continue living as though they belong to this world. John said, "They went out from us, but they were not of us... they went out that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."(Ijhn.2: 19). And that man of sin be revealed. You have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists (2:18). The mystery of iniquity does already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that wicked be revealed (IIths.2:7,8). Has God opened your heart yet to see these things? Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken and the other left (mat.24:40). Until he be taken out of the way: until the tares be taken out of the way, separated from the wheat (13:30). Then shall that wicked be revealed: even him whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness (IIths.2:8,9,10). God is trying to purge us and empty us out so he can put nothing but his word in us that we will be able to recognize the Antichrist. The Antichrist's testimony will not be holiness, it will be pleasure. His message will be the creature and the creation, not the Creator [Jesus (eph.3:9,heb.1: 2)]. But Jesus said that if you don't forsake everything and hate your own life you can't be his disciple (luk.14:26,33). He said, "Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice."(psa. 50:5). He said to present your bodies a living sacrifice (rom.12:1). He said to deny yourself and take up your cross daily (luk.9:23). This is the daily sacrifice which the Antichrist takes away. The antichrist spirit takes away the daily sacrifice and places the abomination that makes desolate (dan.9:27; 11:31;12:11), so that he as God sits in the temple of God (your body (Icor.3: 16,6:19) showing himself that he is God (IIths.2:4), but without true holiness and the daily sacrifice that comes with following the true Jesus. This is the abomination that makes desolate. This is the mystery of iniquity which is already at work. Jesus said that when you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, standing in the holy place (the temple of God is holy, which temple you are (Icor.3:17), whoso readeth, let him understand (mat.24:15,mrk.13:14). Paul said, "Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness..."(IIcor.11:14,15). This latter day antichrist spirit is the ultimate Jesus, or God, impersonator: minus, of course, true holiness and the daily sacrifice. So many are going to be taken away by this flood of delusion. The whole earth is going to swallow up this false move of God and the mark of the Beast like it's the best thing that ever happened (rev.12:9,16;13:4-17). Jesus said that false Christs and false prophets shall rise and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect (mat.24:24,mrk.13:22). Great deception is upon us (rev.16:13-14). And the mark of the Beast micro-chip technology in your hand or in your forehead is not at the door, it is already coming through the door: and many of these phony preachers will convince many to receive it, saying that this is not what the Bible was talking about. But Jesus said that if you receive this mark, visible or invisible, you shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and you'll be cast into the lake of fire with them (rev.14:9-11;20:10;21:8). So many are being deceived already by this false religious stuff on TV today. Almost every religious program on TV and Radio today is watered-down -- diluted and polluted. Some of these preachers, even well-known ones, may have even had the truth at one time in their life; but have now given in to this antichrist spirit. So many people are running to and fro today looking for a sign watching this religious deception and not knowing the difference between the holy and profane, not knowing the difference between the unclean and the clean, not knowing the difference between him that serves God and him that serves him not (ezk.44:23,mal.3:18). But we are not supposed to seek signs in order to believe. Jesus said that a wicked or adulterous generation seeks after a sign (mat.12:38-39;16:1-4). Don't get me wrong, true signs do follow the true believers, but not without true holiness. But this is an adulterous religious generation that seek after signs; a generation of forms of godliness; a generation that are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; a generation that loves eating more than praying and fasting; a generation that loves to hear good words and fair speeches; a generation that loves to be deceived (IItim.3:4-5,rom.16:18,is.30:10,jer.5:31): and for this cause God shall send them strong delusion (IIths.2:11). Him whose coming is with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved (IIths.2:10). Paul was not talking about religious love here. Religious love is of the world. God's love causes you to change. Jesus told Peter, "You savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men."(mat.16:23). Peter was full of religious love for Jesus, but lacked God's love at first. Jesus said that you know and enjoy not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. He said, "My peace I give unto you: not as the world gives..."(jhn.14:27). The world's peace and God's peace is not the same. The world's love and God's love is not the same. Religious love is self- righteous sympathy which makes you feel "righteous". God's love is unbridled compassion which moves you to action regardless of circumstances. We better throw away our religious love and get the real love of Jesus in us. Religious faith is a thought: it's feelings and emotions, and little more. God's faith is action: his kind of faith drives you to bring forth daily more of his word and his works through you. Godly sorrow works repentance to salvation: but the sorrow of the world works death (IIcor.7:10). And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness (IIths.2:11,12). Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand (dan.12:10). When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him (is.59:19). Our only hope is to continue in the word, and to stand in the word and have the word abide in us, and let God stand up in us and lift up his standard of holiness in our hearts and in our lives. Take unto you the whole armour of God and become alive and on fire in his kingdom now! Break up your fallow ground: plow deep: gather out every stone and pebble: lay aside every weight and the sin which does so easily beset us. Sanctify a fast. Go through the gates; prepare the way of the people; cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people (is.62: 10). Stir up the gift of God which is in you: building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. For we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption. Lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees. For now is our salvation nearer than when we believed (rom.8:26;13:11,IItim.1:6,heb.12:12,jud.20). Pray without ceasing. Wake up your measure of faith which God has given unto every born again Christian. For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (rom.12:3,Iths.5:17,IItim.1: 7). Exercise your faith daily and it will increase, and you will bring forth the works of Jesus. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also (jam.2:26). Let the Spirit of God stir you to watch and pray always, and to fast, and to search out his word daily. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed (jam.1:5-6). Only let your conversation be as it becomes the gospel of Christ (phl.1:27). Dig deep to make yourself ready and enter into that perfect marriage of the Lamb where Jesus will rule in you, because the flood gates are being opened like never before. Let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall (Icor.10:12). For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not you (rom.11:21). See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven: whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven (God is shaking the natural world and the spiritual world: He is shaking the Church to weed out the tares (is.13:13,IIths.2:2,rev.6:13). And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain (heb.12:25,26). If you don't believe that God will allow the lukewarm to be taken away by delusion and wrath, just read what Jesus said he had done to the one who went to the marriage without a wedding garment on -- he was cast out into outer darkness. Jesus said that the king said unto him, "Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?"(mat.22). He called him friend, so he is definitely not talking to the heathens here. He said that these shall go away into everlasting punishment (mat.25:46). God said, "Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number."(jer.2:32). Some of us believe that God is pleased by us going to church. We are the Church (Icor.12: 27). God does not dwell in temples made with hands (act.7:48). You are God's building (Icor.3:7). You are the place where God lives and works (jhn.14:12, IIcor.6:16). Some of us believe that we are serving a part time God. We won't dare curse/ steal/ lust/ lie/ judge/ condemn/ be a busy-body/ gossip/ smoke/ drink/ etc., in church; but we will do such things when we are not in church. Well, we have forgotten our attire. We have forgotten our wedding garment. We have forgotten that we were purged from our old sins. We are defiling God's temple. Does a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree bear olive berries? either a vine figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh (jam.3:11,12). Jesus said, "Either make the tree good and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt and his fruit corrupt..."(mat.12:33). Your heart, mind and body is the temple of God. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy (Icor.3:17). It's time to wake up out of this lukewarm religious sleep before it's too late. Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light (eph.5:14). The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light (rom.13:12). Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness (jam.4:8,9). Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time (Ipet.5:6). ~ Chapter Fifteen ~ Believe God's Prophets Awake, awake; put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean (is.52:1). Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provisions for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof (rom.13:14). Isaiah prophesied this concerning the true Christians, "He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels."(is.61:10). Let your garments be always white [not your "Fruit of the Loom" or some other natural garment, nor any other religious spiritual garment, but the garment of the Spirit of God -- Jesus]: that you may be found without spot (ecl.9:8,IIpet.3:14). It's time to put on Jesus! For the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints [And their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord."(is.54:17,zch.3:4)]. And he said unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said unto me, These are the true sayings of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See you do it not: for I am your fellowservant and of your brothers that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (rev.19:7-10). The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (rev.19:10). Believe in the Lord your God, so shall you be established; believe his prophets, so shall you prosper (IIchr.20:20). God will do nothing except he reveals his secrets unto his servants the prophets (ams.3:7). Jesus said, "It cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem."(luk.13:33). So God said that he will always have at least one true prophet on the scene. From Genesis to Revelation God has been revealing his plans to his servants the prophets for the purpose of having them prophesy what He is doing and what He is about to do. Also from the beginning to the end God's prophets were and are mocked and ridiculed, and their word was not and is not believed by many even among God's people. Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it? Surely the Lord God will do nothing but he revealeth his secrets unto his servants the prophets (ams.3:6,7). Where there is no vision, the people perish (prv.29:18). God will not do anything without first revealing it to his true prophets. God has a true prophet on the scene today, going through the lands, warning us and preparing us for what HE is about to do. David Terrell is the major prophet on the scene today. And like Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel, God ordained this man from his mother's womb to be a prophet unto the nations (jer.1:5;ezk.33:7;is.58:1;luk.10:16). And when you accept the word of God from his mouth you are receiving God. And when you refuse the word of God from his mouth you are rejecting God. And the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father's which called me (jhn.14:24;20:21;luk.10:16;rom.13:1-4). This man is the forerunner of the Elijah prophet (if not the Elijah prophet himself). And God showed him that we are going to go into at least the first part of the twenty-first century. We better take heed. This is God's prophet. I am not exalting man here; rather, I am lifting up the ministry of a true prophet (rom.13:1-7). There are other prophets: some of which are God's; some are by their own choosing. But you cannot choose to be a prophet. God chooses His prophets (jer.1:5,gal.1:15). These so called "prophets" running around contradicting God's major prophet are not God's prophets, because the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets (Icor.14:32). But God always backs up His word: and he put His word in David Terrell's mouth. And Brother Terrell is now and has been for the past several decades prophesying and warning God's people. But for the most part his words have fallen on deaf ears. Jesus himself said that a prophet is without honour in his own country and among his own people (mat.13:57,mrk.6:4,luk.4:24,jhn.4:44). "Also, thou son of man," God said to his prophet, "the children of your people still are talking against you... they come unto you as the people come, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their covetousness... you are unto them as a very lovely song of one that has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear your words, but they do them not."(ezk.33:30-32). "Therefore you shall speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to you..."(jer.7:27). "You dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not: for they are a rebellious house."(ezk.12:2). Jesus told Israel that the kingdom of God would be taken from them and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof (mat.21:43). The United States of America is that nation. God chose us to bring forth the fruits of the kingdom of God, and as a result we have become the greatest nation on the face of the earth. But in recent years this nation has backslidden from God. We've become lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. We've heaped to ourselves teachers and preachers having itching ears and forms of godliness without holiness. From the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one deals falsely. God said, "They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? no, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the Lord."(jer.6: 13-15). Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously? Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root: they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit: thou art near in their mouth, and far from their reins.... pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter. The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil (jer.12:1-3; prv.16:4). God said, "Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them: yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck..."(jer.7:25,27). "I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me."(Jer.35:15). "I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets."(hos.12:10). "They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goes to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof." (ezk.7:14). This nation, the U.S.A. as a whole, is a nation that obeys not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receives correction (jer.7:28). This nation, in large part, was built upon Christian values and Christian teachings: and the only way to deny this fact is to rewrite history: and this is exactly what many people are doing today. Animosity against Christianity in this nation has never been more prevalent. And never before in the history of our country have we had a more corrupt and anti-Bible government than we have today. Even the church-world today does not believe the Bible to be the infallible word of God. The Bible says that if a ruler pays attention to lies, then all of his servants are wicked (prv.29:12). This scripture accurately describes our current President and many of those serving under him today, including many in the news media. They choose to believe and promote lies, and many people in this country and abroad, religious and non-religious alike, are going along with them (IIpet.2:1-2). "Thus saith the Lord, Stand in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken. Therefore hear, you nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them. Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it."(jer.6:16-19). For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perverseness. None calls for justice, nor any pleads for truth (they make haste to shed innocent blood -- even the blood of innocent unborn babies -- the unjust knows no shame (zph.3:5): they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity... conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood (is.59:3-13). They change the truth of God into a lie, and worship and serve the creature (man) more than the Creator (Jesus). And for this cause God gave them over to a reprobate mind (rom.1:18-32). And judgment is turned away backward, and justice stands afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yes, truth fails; and he that departs from evil makes himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment (is.59:14,15). If you depart from evil and separate yourself from doing what others are doing, then you have become their prey and you are made fun of by them. But, the pride of this nation's wickedness has reached unto God. Pride proceeds destruction (prv.16: 18). This nation has lifted itself up to heaven through the pride of its prosperity; but God himself, the righteous judge of all, shall bring this nation down because of its backslidings (jer.18:7-10). Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness -- that they may add sin to sin -- Therefore as the fire devours the stubble and the flame consumes the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the holy one of Israel. Therefore is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he has stretched forth his hand against them... For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still (is.5:20,24,25;30:1). For the people turn not unto him that smite them, neither do they seek the Lord of hosts: and blasphemed the name of God, which has power over these plagues. Neither repented they of their murders (hatred, grudges or bitterness in the heart), nor of their sorceries (drug and alcohol abuse or recreational use), nor of their fornication (lust of the flesh or of the eyes, i.e., lust in the heart), nor of their thefts (which includes holding back from God or man when we should be giving). God said, "Yes, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear: but they did evil before my eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not."(is.9:13;66:3,4,rev.9&16). "And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all nations."(jer.25:13). Your words have been stout against me, saith the Lord. Yet you say, What have we spoken so much against you? You have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinances, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts? And now we call the proud happy; yes, they that work wickedness are set up; yes, they that tempt God are even delivered (mal.3:13-15). You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save you from these things that shall come upon you (is.47:13). For I have heard from the Lord God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth (is.28:22). In the latter days you shall consider it (jer.30:24). God said, "For my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them my indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy."(zph.3:8). "And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease..."(is.13:11). God warned us that in the last days there would be scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of Jesus' coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up (IIpet.3:3-12). I don't claim to be a prophet or some big-shot preacher, just one whom the Lord God has opened my ear and I was not rebellious neither turned away back (is.50:5): but his word was in my heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I could not keep silent (jer.20:9). And I assure that the gospel which I have written about here is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ (gal.1:12, mat.16:17). And I am saying this by the Spirit of the only true God, by the Spirit of prophecy which is the testimony of Jesus, that the marriage of the Lamb is at the door, when they that have made themselves ready having endured rebuke and chastening, and have kept themselves unspotted from the world, shall through their most holy faith enter into marriage with Jesus into the fulness of God; and when they that have not made themselves ready, but have compromised God's word and held the truth in unrighteousness, shall be shut out and given their portion with the unbelievers (luk.12:46). For as a snare shall it come (21:35): even great wrath and persecution which will catch many off guard because they refuse to take heed to God's word and prepare themselves spiritually and naturally and move out of the wicked cities and out of the wicked areas and into a blessed area, chosen not by man, but by God. John said, "And to the woman [the true Church] were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent."(rev.12:14). There is a spiritual place in God where we should be already. But there is a natural physical place where we should be also when we are not out evangelizing. Not training with firearms for a revolution. They that take the sword shall perish with the sword (mat.26:52, gen.9:6,rev.13:10). I am not against someone having firearms, but I'm talking about learning to be self sufficient without taking the mark of the Beast. I'm not against someone owning and baring firearms, because after all, guns were one of the tools by which our forefathers obtained and secured many of the freedoms taken for granted today. The founding fathers of the United States, many of whom were God fearing men, included in the U.S. Constitution our right to own and bare firearms so that a controlling government would never be allowed to enslave the citizens of this great nation. But we must not put the natural sword in place of the sword of the Spirit. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God (psa.20:7). Some trust in bullets, and some in bullet-proof vests; some trust in technology; others trust in money, gold and silver: but we need to put our trust in Jesus. We better take heed or else we'll be snared with the wicked (job.9:22,ezk.21:1-3,hos.4:6). Jesus said to watch and pray always that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of man (luk.21:36). A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right side; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked (psa.91:7,8). "Come my people, enter into your chambers, and shut your doors about you: hide yourself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast."(is.26:20). Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be you shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger (zph.2:3). Jesus said, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."(jhn.16:33). God is going to hide us in his Spirit. He is going to hide us in Jesus -- the secret place of the most High. Jesus said, "I pray not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil."(jhn.17:15). God is going to chasten, refine and mold his elect: and keep his people strong during the tribulation - - those that enter into the bond of the covenant; that dwell in the secret place of the most High; that enter into his marriage; that have passed under the rod of correction and have been purged, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. But the rest will be carried away by this flood of strong delusion and destruction that shall come as a snare on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth (luk.21:35). Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord comes, for it is nigh at hand; a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness (jol.2:1,2). Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light (ams.5: 18). The day of the Lord which is the time of gross darkness and the wrath of God upon the earth is fast approaching: it is even at the door. And you who are not watching and praying always, you who are not walking in the light of this word shall be visited as by a thief in the night! But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. You are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober (Iths.5:4-6). Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you (is.60:1). Walk while you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not where he goes (jhn.12:35). ~ Chapter Sixteen ~ The Mystery Of God Finished For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you. And the Gentiles [sinners] shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising (is.60:2,3). Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober (Iths.5:6). Take unto you the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (eph.6:13). Jesus said, "Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when he comes shall find watching: surely I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them."(luk.12: 37). King David prophesied, "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over."(psa.23:5). Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb (rev.19). Jesus said, "Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage."(mat.22:4). He said he will come forth and serve us our portion of meat in due season (luk.12). He said he prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies (psa.23). He said that all things are ready, not off in the heavens somewhere, but right here and now we are going to eat the fulness of God's word and enter into marriage with him on this earth in the presence of our enemies! This is the mystery of Christ in you. God said that the glory of this latter house shall be greater than the former (hab.2:9). This is the mystery of God which is the revelation of Jesus Christ in you. Paul said, "He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." (Icor. 6:17), "For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church."(eph.5:30-32). Jesus said, "That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us... And the glory which you gave me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one..."(jhn.17:21,22). "And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and evey man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more."(jer.31:34). "Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house you build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? for all those things have my hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at my word."(is.66:1,2). Solomon built him a house. Howbeit the most High dwells not in temples made with hands (act.17:47, 48). You are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty (IIcor.6:16, 17). In the beginning God created man in his own image and said let them have dominion over all the earth (gen.1:26,27). God made man to dwell in: to live in: to rule and reign through us (rev.2:26-29). That was before man sinned. Then Jesus came to reconcile us back into the image of God (IIcor.5: 19-21,phl.2:5-8). Man is the work of God's hands: the man that is born again in the image of Jesus. God said, "Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands....... Your people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified."(is.45:11;60:21). Jesus said, "My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work."(jhn.4: 34). Revelation five ten says that Jesus has made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. We shall reign with God on this earth: God in us, Jesus Christ in us reigning through us on this earth before the end of the world! Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world (Ijhn.4:17)! This is the mystery of God which is finished in the latter days before the end of the world. This takes place in the last days, not at the last day. As it was in the days of Noa, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man (luk.17:26). In the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished (rev.10:7). We are overcomers here in this world. Jesus was down here in this world when he overcame Satan. The thief on the cross overcame by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of his testimony here in this world. If we are not supposed to overcome in this world, then not only are our lives down here in vain, but Jesus' death and resurrection was in vain also. But that's not the case. John said, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world."(Ijhn.4:4). This is the mystery which Adam and Eve gave up their right to-- the tree of life in the midst of the garden of Eden (gen.2:9)-- the Word (jhn.1: 1)-- Christ the power and wisdom of God (Icor.1:24)-- Jesus in you, the hope of glory (col.1:27)! Jesus said, "I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever... Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day."(jhn.6:51,54). The rapture takes place at the last day, but the mystery of God is finished before the last day: it is finished at the revelation of Jesus Christ, in the days of the seventh angel when he shall begin to sound, in the days of the Son of man, when that which is perfect is come, when this mortal shall have put on immortality (Ipet.1:13,rev.10:7,luk. 17:26,Icor.13:9-12;15:51-57) -- Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus (rev.14:12). Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life (rev.22:14). Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life..."(jhn.14:6), "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."(6:63), "For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and I in him."(6:55,56). He said, "To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God."(rev.2:7). Religious people, in general, are among the hardest people to get saved because we believe that we are already righteous because we are good people. We are righteous alright, self-righteous. We know enough; we see enough: or so we think. Jesus said, "For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind." "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Jesus didn't come for this self-righteous church bunch. He said, "If you were blind, you should have no sin: but now you say, We see; therefore your sin remains."(jhn.9:39,41,luk.5: 32). Jesus said that common sinners and whores will go into the kingdom of God before some of us (mat.21: 31), because they will eat from God whatever is set before them: because some of them will receive the word without questioning it: those that have not yet been corrupted by false religious beliefs, who will humble themselves, repent and receive the kingdom of God as a little child (mrk.10:15). "But you, son of man, hear what I say unto you; Be not rebellious like that rebellious house: open your mouth, and eat that I give you."(ezk.2:8). "Behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name." (rev.3:8). Jesus said to tell them which are bidden,"I have prepared my dinner, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise..." (mat.22: 4,5). Jesus said, "Say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray you have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray you have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come." (luk.14:17-20) -- Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision (jol.3:14). Many are making excuses today as to why they are unable to do this or do that for God. "The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go therefore into the highways, and as many as you shall find, bid to the marriage."(mat.22:8,9), "Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, that none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper." exclaimed Jesus (luk. 14:23,24). Jesus said that half of us good living Christians are running on a low battery. He said that five out of ten of us virgins are low on oil and the door is about to be shut, when half of us will be shut out forever because we don't have enough oil in our lamps, we don't have enough of God in us to see what is about to take place before our eyes (mat.25). And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, says the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God (zch.13:8,9). Behold, I have refined you, but not with silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction (is.48:10). Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he has built [on Jesus], he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire (Icor.3:13-15). For, behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch (mal.4:1). "But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness [Jesus] arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, says the Lord of hosts."(mal.4:2-3). It's time to humble ourselves and pray and turn from our own ways and seek the face of God (IIchr.7:13-14). It's time to pass under the rod of correction (ezk.20:33-44). It's time to let Jesus rebuke us, chastise us, purge us and refine us (dut.8:5). It's time to take hold of and possess the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (jud.3). It's time to put Jesus on: and let Jesus in (rom.13:14,rev.3:20). It's time to seek his righteousness, not our own: all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags (is.64:6). We better get this attitude right here in our hearts right now: listen, We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covers us: for we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God (jer.3:5). O Lord, to you will I cry: for the fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame has burned all the trees of the field (jol.1:19). Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting (psa.139:23,24). O Lord, correct me, but with judgment; not in your anger, lest you bring me to nothing (jer.10:24). "For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you. In a little wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on you, says the Lord your redeemer." (is.54:7-8). "But I will correct you in measure, and will not leave you altogether unpunished..." said God, "because your sins were increased, I have done these things unto you."(jer.30:11,15). Then they that feared the Lord spoke often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. "And they shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him. Then shall you return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that serves him not."(mal.3:16-18). "Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he has torn, and he will heal us; he has smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth." wrote Hosea (hos.6:1-3). Hosea was not talking about the early Church here because you cannot revive something that does not yet exist. The Church was not revived on the day of Pentecost, it was born. Hosea was talking about this last day revival which is the latter rain outpouring of the Holy Ghost without measure. Peter said, "One day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."(IIpet.3:8). We are on the threshold of entering into the third- thousand year, or third day with the Lord, since the birth of the Church, when God's elect is coming into the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (eph4:13), when that which is perfect is come (Icor.13:10): and He will revive us and raise us up, and we shall live in his sight in true holiness in the presence of our enemies on this earth in the days before the end of this world (psa.23:5). Glory to Jesus! "Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them." The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yes, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies. "I have long time held my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once. I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools. And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them." "And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear... saith the Lord."(is.42:9,13-16;65:24). Thank you, Jesus, for your Word! "Hear the word of the Lord, you that tremble at his word; Your brothers that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the Lord be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed."(is.66: 5). "For I will restore health unto you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord; because they called you an outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeks after."(jer.30:17). The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision (ezk.12:23). Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be (rev.22:10-12). CONCLUSION O my Father, if you be willing, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me, remove this cup from me, take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, not as I will, but what you will, as you will: not my will, but yours be done (mat.26:39,mrk.14:36,luk.22:43), prayed Jesus as a man, as our example. He said, "You shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall you be baptized..."(mrk.10:39). Hear the word of the Lord, you that tremble at his word; you that count the cost and forsake all; you that deny yourselves and take up your crosses daily; you that put your hands to the plough and don't look back; unto you that fear my name: Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. Pray without ceasing, watch unto prayer, for yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, with all power and signs and lying wonders, and will not tarry or delay. But know that the kingdom of God comes not with observation: the kingdom of God is within you. And the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever. And the Lord whom you seek shall suddenly come to his temple -- you are that temple -- and you shall be endued with power from on high: and you shall be witnesses unto me unto the uttermost part of the earth (is.32:15; 66:5,luk.9:23,62;14:28,33;17:20,21;24:49,mal.3:1;4:2,mrk.14:38,Iths.5:17,Ipet. 4:7,heb.10:37-39,IIths.2:1-12,dan.7:18,act.1:8). I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy; and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: and on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke. And you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must first come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be great earthquakes, pestilences, famines and troubles; fearful sights and great signs from heaven: these are the beginnings of sorrows (jol.2:28-30,act.2:17-19,mat. 24,mrk.13,luk.21). Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted: they shall deliver you up to councils, and into prisons: you shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them: but when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what you shall speak, neither premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak: for it is not you that speak, but the Holy Ghost. For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. You shall be betrayed by parents, brothers, kinfolks and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved (mat.24,mrk.13,luk.21). These are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled: great tribulation: a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation: signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, confusion; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and terrible day of the Lord come: and it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord, whosoever shall call on the name of Jesus shall be saved (jol.2:31, 32,act.2:20,21,dan.12,mat.24,luk.21)! And you shall preach this gospel of the kingdom in all the world, in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, the Lord working with you and confirming the word with signs following, for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come (mat.24:14,Icor.2:4,Iths.1:5,mrk.16:20)! And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away... And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.
