10/27/99:

***VERSION 5.0-- The fifth complete overhaul of the webpage has been completed (in case you haven't seen). It is complete with a name main page, new & updated bios, and new pics of the band (why people want to see our ugly mugs is beyond me, but we give the people what they want). There are some pics of Brian and Mike with Gene & Dean Ween in the picture section, along with a new group shot and some rare photos of DJ StyleZ counting his cash. Don't forget to check out the Dellfold Entertainment homepage and MonkeyMan Webpages homepage, they were updated too.

09/09/99:

***The boognish says NCS gots "awesome sounds"-- Along with the "top secret" cover CD that we will be on, NCS will appear on a Ween tribute CD that is being put together by the fans. In late September/early October NCS will do a rendition of Ween's "Mutilated Lips" from their 1997 CD the Mollusk. You might have heard Gene & Dean Ween do this song when they appeared on the short lived MTV variety show Oddville. We'll let you know where to find this CD when it's done & post a complete track list of who's on it & what songs everyone is doing along with a sound clip for the masses.

08/08/99:

***Top Secret Cover Album-- The band was recently approached by one of Florida's finest guitar players to be part of a CD he's putting together. The CD will feature covers of his first (and well known) band done by different bands as well as possible remastered versions of some of their demo songs. We can't say right now who he is, or what band will be covered on the CD right now. But we can say that if everything goes as planned, we will be able to tell you in about a month or two more info (like who "he" is, what band we're talking about & what song we will be doing). We'll post it as soon as we can. Wish us luck.

***A Brief Summary-- Due to the untimely death of Harry Lickasnatch III, we have been unable to update the news section lately. But do not fear, Brian is here to fill you in on what's going on with the band. Dellfest 99 was a great gig and a success! For more info on that check out the Dellfold Entertainment page. We'd also like to thank everyone who showed up and braved the storming weather & floods for our show at Cypress Hall July 25th with Point 07. This show was caught on video. If you want a copy of the show, just email us & we'll let you know how to get it.

04/06/99:

***Harry Lickasnatch III 19??- 1999-- We're sorry to report that several days ago Harry Lickasnatch III passed on. He lived a long full life and accomplished more in his years on this planet than any other dog we know. He will be missed.

***DELLFEST 99-- NCS will be one of the co-headliners at Dellfest 99. Dellfest 99 is being put on by Dellfold Entertainment and sponsored by the FreeMace Society, the House of Style, and Domino's Pizza. Tickets are available at the House of Style or Sonic Records and at the door the day of the show. Also scheduled to be there: Mayan Genius, the No Shows, Point 07, the Munx, Penguin, DJ Symptom, Relapse, Justin D, MC IceBoy, Indo, Daze, Little C the Sniper, and Precise Disciples. Dellfest 99 is going to be May 1st, 1999 at Val Reiss Park in Chalmette, LA.

***Congrats to Dirty Rice-- We would like to congradulate our friends Dirty Rice (formerly known as "Lyrical Assassins") for getting signed to Take Fo' Records. We'll keep you all up on what's going on with them and possible collaborations between Dirty Rice & NCS in the future.

***the FreeMace Society-- DJ Plagerism along with DJ StyleZ and other Dellfold Entertainment turntable gurus have formed a side group called the FreeMace Society. The group includes DJ Plagerism, DJ StyleZ, AJ the DJ, DJ Demone (from the Side Projects), DJ Honkey, and Uncle Samples (from the Side Projects). There will be a webpage set up soon as well as a CD from them featuring remixes and original tracks from them sometime in the early summer of 2000. The CD will feature the DJ Plagerism remix of Nuts Can Surf's "Basehead", AJ the DJ's "Time and Space" featuring Mike "Mawexell" Gio and the Silver Lover, and DJ Demone's UltraViolentTriggerHappyTeflonCoatedSuicideMachine remix of the Side Project's tack "I Shoot 'em In the Head" plus more.

***MonkeyMan Webpages-- Brian, aka MonkeyMan, has started creating webpages for the public. Lately he has been making them for the bands on Dellfold Entertainment (nuts can surf, the No Shows, Mohawk Jones, the Side Projects, Krunk, Cutbowl Jones, etc.), but now you too can get a webpage designed by a monkey. Just check out the MonkeyMan Webpage for more info.

11/13/98:

***the Next New Craze...Covering NCS songs-- Kentucky band Spectical is planning on covering a NCS song on there first release and in there live shows. The song in question is "Next New Craze" from the band's 1995 demo It All Started In the Shower. When they release something we will let you know as soon as we hear anything. Pickle Dill of Spectical contacted the band and the rest is (will be) history. Well, chalk them up as the first to be inspired by NCS. :)

(04-06-99 UPDATE) Spectical has changed their name to "Hootinany"

11/11/98:

***Win A Free CD!-- For those of you out there who want the new NCS release, Let's Play In Traffic, and can't get the cash together now have a chance to get it for free. Just go to Win A Free CD!, fill out the form, answer a few questions and that's it. The first 5 people with the most correct answers will receive an autographed copy of the CD for free.

***E-Mail Problems-- In case any of you have tried to get in touch with the band, Brian or Steve on Monday (or Tuesday or Wednesday) there has been some problems with the server. Turns out someone is building a place next to where the freenet runs and they accidentally hit a line cutting all freenet customers off from the server making them unable to connect and read or accept mail. Sorry for the inconvience, send your mail again if you sent something earlier.

***Mandeville Appearence Cancelled-- As you probably know we were supposed to play at the Mandeville High talent show on Tuesday November 9th. Well, since we only had 1 Mandeville High student in the act (yup, little old Milton) we were not eligible for the prize. Since we weren't eligible, we didn't go. It's all an conspirisy, they knew we would've won and couldn't handle it. :)

11/01/98:

***The CD's here!!!-- The latest release from Nuts Can Surf (Let's Play In Traffic) is finally ready for everyone. And for the first time, you have the choice of buying it either on cassette or CD. Just check out the Gift Shop for all the info.

***ECf'nW-- For all of you out there who are wrestling fans, check out ECW's November To Remember when it comes out on video tape (or if you get to catch an encore showing on pay per view) and you'll probably be able to see Mike, Brian, Tony, Shawn and some of the crew watching the most extreme wrestling in the world!!! (Even though it's not really "band news", it is Nuts Can Surf appearing on TV).

10/29/98:

***Matt West update-- Late last night it came to our attention that Matt West was planning on suing Nuts Can Surf and Monkeyman webpages over the use of his photo on the main page of the Nuts Can Surf homepage. Well, we've fixed the picture in question & now it's all fine. But since Mr. West has mentioned the page in two separate occassions, we know that he's been here at least two times. And if you're reading this Mr. West, be a sport, sign the guestbook and PLAY AN NCS SONG ON THE RADIO!

10/21/98:

***The END update-- After talking to radio Dj Matt West, we found out that a good number of you have been calling and requesting us. Thanks, but there is kinda bad news. He said that Nuts Can Surf's sound is "too hip for the room" and that "not all of the End's listeners would get it" (our sound). But don't stop calling and requesting us! Show him that you want to hear it and if enough people call, he will have to play it! Make them hear the name Nuts Can Surf in their sleep.

***5000+ !!!!-- We've reached over 5000 hits on the webpage today. That's over five thousand people who have been molested by the sites and sounds of Nuts Can Surf.

10/19/98:

***Attention 106.7fm THE END (New Orleans) Listeners!-- This is a call to all the people in the New Orleans radio listening area. Nuts Can Surf has given 106.7fm THE END a promo of "Let's Play In Traffic". The take over of the airwaves has begun. Just call them up at (504)260-1067 and request a Nuts Can Surf song. Pick any song you want and let's see if they play it. We suggest "Basehead", "Let Me", "Snowflake", or "the Ballad of Bastard Max" since they have the little or no swear words & are the most polished songs.

***Let's Play In Traffic Hit's The Streets-- Nuts Can Surf has announced that the first CD is going to be availible November 1st 1998. Check out the NCS Discography to see the track list for the CD.

09/14/98:

***Updated-- Well, it's been a long time coming but the page has had a over haul of graphics & text. But I'm sure you've noticed that already. And if you haven't, take the time to stroll around our home on the net. Oh, & don't forget to check out the rest of the Dellfold Entertainment family on there webpages too.

09/06/98:

***We Are the Friggin' Champions-- As you can see from the top of the main page, NCS is the winner of Radio X's Battle of the Bands. They beat out 2 other bands (the Meat Department & the Antibodies) by a landslide. Being the champs, the guys will go over to the next round of competition to defend the title. We'll keep you all informed of when round 2 begins.

08/01/98:

***The CD Has a Name (Finally)!!!-- Well, the polls have been closed & the votes have been counted. The title of NCS's next release (and first CD) is Let's Play In Traffic. The CD is set for a Winter '99 release & is going to be packed w/ NCS style as well as some special guests: D-Boy, M.C. Cripple-Fist, the Silver Lover, & Sh*t Eatin' Bob (of the Side Projects). Also D.J. StyleZ, A.J. the D.J., Rhiannon Ruiz (of Krunk), Mohawk Jones, Peg Leg, & more.

***NCS for Best Band!-- In case you missed it on the main page, we're in a battle of the bands sponsored by RadioX. Well, all you have to do is go to the RadioX Battle of the Bands page & vote for us! When you're there you can also check out 4 songs from the "Etchi Shiyo" demo (which is what they have there over at RadioX) in Real Audio format. The four songs are "Snowflake", "Who Do Ya Think Ya F_ckin' With !?!?!?" (featuring Ol' Horse Rack Jack), "2 Much Coke", & "Arrrg (Swab the Deck)" (featuring Peg Leg).

***Out to the Underground on Aug. 8th-- We've got an ALL AGES, FREE SHOW from 5:30pm to 7pm on August 8th at Undergound Sounds on 3336 Magazine St in New Orleans. If you need more info on it either e-mail us here or call the Underground: (504) 897-9030.

06/15/98:

***NutsCnSrf1@aol.com is gone-- This e-mail address is no longer in service, so please don't e-mail it. If you want to reach Brian, who was using the account, you can e-mail him (bgr01@gnofn.org) or you can locate him on AOL or with your AOL Instant Messenger under this name: M0nkeyMan1.

06/10/98:

***Sound Clips....finally!-- Well, after several monthes, we finally have sound clips up on the webpage ready to be downloaded. To get them all you have to do is go to the Sound Clips part of the page & click on the ones with links on it. You can still get the sound clips that are not linked by e-mailing Brian.

06/06/98:

***Rehab is for Quitters-- Tony has been kicked out of Rehab. That's right, he's been kicked out of rehab. Now you may be asking "what could he have done?" Well, he was cursing (singing "Wildflower" by Ghostface Killah) & talking to girls. What kind of rule is that?!?! They were supposed to keep him off drugs, not music or girls. Well, he's back. NCS is whole again.

05/21/98:

***Fakes, Posers, & Wannabe Hackers-- Recently, someone has been sending out bogus NCS mail. Someone has been trying to pass themselves off as one of the Richard brothers. And this person was so stupid that they not only spelled the last name wrong, they sent a mail to Brian himself. Here's the each one of the three mails he received:

Hey, if you ever want to talk, mail me.

Your Friend,
Brian Richards >>

You don't have to be a Rhodes Scholar to figure out that these are a fake, because Brian & Shawn's last name is spelled wrong (it's plastered all over just about every page on here). So if you get any e-mail from either address, don't download anything from them because it might be a virus and don't believe any info from them because it's probably bogus crap. NCS is bout it bout it....but they don't need to make an e-mail address to show it!

05/13/98:

***Tony-- After a couple weeks of drug testing by the St. Bernard Police Department, our beloved Tony has been ordered to attend a alcohol & drug rehab center in Terrebone, LA for 28 days. So until then, all of Tony's bass duties will be handled by Milton. We wish Tony the best of luck with his treatment & we hope to see him well. If you'd like to send any cards or well wishes to:

"We Love Tony"

05/02/98:

***May 1st & July 4th Gigs-- We would like to thank all of you that showed up for our show on the first. We would also like to thank the guys in Mayan Genius for letting us use there equiptment. We hoped you all enjoyed the other 2 opening acts (Lyrical Assassins & Precise Disciples), as well as Mayan Genuis who all put on a hell of a show. But as usual Murphey's Law (Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong) took effect. Just 4 songs into our set, the police showed up & almost arresed NCS drummer & Dellfold Entertainment VP, Brian Richard for contributing to the delinquency of minors. Turns out that, despite signs posted all around the building, some people decided to get drunk. Because of this, cops were called by people in the neighborhood to break up the show. And that's exactly what happened. So due to the fact that the police were envolved in the May 1st gig, the July 4th Indie-pendence Day Blow-out has been cancelled (despite what is listed in the "Tourdates" link). It will be postponed to a later date though.

04/03/98:

***Finally Done-- Well, after a while of re-organizing, moving around, adding on, taking off, & all kinds of other stuff that was done to the webpage, it's finally done. This should be the last graphics overhaul on here for a while.

***Nuts Can Surf on CD!-- You read it right...NCS is going to be putting out a CD release sometime during the Fall/Winter of '98. It's going to be called "Etchi Shiyo", just like their last tape release. The boys are taking some of the songs that were originally released on the "Etchi Shiyo" tape along with some new versions of some old NCS favorites, plus a new song written & performed by Milton Rouleau. Here is the track list for the CD (you know the boys, so who knows if these songs will be on the finished product):

~Lead Feet [new version] ~Panback ~Etchi Shiyo [previously unreleased] ~2 Much Coke ~Debbie ~Arrrg (Awab tha Deck) ~Lita Ford (Is A Ho) ~the Infinite ~Motherless Monkey ~Once in Your Life ~Lookin' At A Clock [new version/H.F.C. Remix] ~Colostamy Bag Boogie [new version] ~the Sh*tt F*ckk B*tchh (instrumental) ~Snowflake ~Behold the Beast ~Let Me ~Saki Sadness [NEW] ~Meat on the Brain ~Don't Bite the Hand ~Cosmic ~Who Do U Think You're F*ckin' With?!?! ~Basehead ~the Side Prodjects (pt. 1,2,& 3) ~the Ballad of Bastard Max ~My Heart Stopped Beatin' [new version].

Expect the usual special guests to show up on here (Mohawk Jones, the Side Project$) as well as Krunk's Rhiannon Ruiz to lend sultry her voice to this auditory manifestation of raw sexual energy from the NCS posse.

***"Carbon Copy" Delayed-- click here for details

***Shawn to lend a hand to Lyrical Assasigns-- Shawn (the NCS DJ/man with the 40oz) is scheduled to help produce the first feature from the New Orleans hip-hop act Lyrical Assasigns. More info to come

***"Mega-Gig" Cancelled-- Due to break ups in local bands, as well as lack of interest, the Mega-Gig (that was annonced earlier) has been cancelled of 1998 & put on hold indefinately. Sorry.

01/16/98:

***New Look-- In case you haven't noticed the webpage has gotten a new look. We've added graphics & new features. We hope you enjoy the additions to our cyber home.

10/25/97:

***Our Apologies-- Thank you to all of you who came out to see us at the Mandiville Community Center on the 24th. We are sorry that you all had to go somewhere else due to the Center canceling the show. We know you are pretty mad, but so are we ....we drove for over an hour to come and bring some music to you all and we didn't find out until after we had gotten there ourselves. For those of you who want to know what I'm talking about, here's what happened. We had a gig to play with 2 other bands (Subliminal Malice & Formula O) in Mandiville, LA on the 24th. The day before the show, Subliminal Malice dropped out. Then we were late (by only about 20 minutes due to traffic) getting to Mandiville from Chalmette....if you've ever driven across the Causeway(which is in the Guinness book of world records as the longest bridge in the world) you know that it can seem like you're driving for forever. Anyway, when we called ahead to Milton's house (he lives in Mandiville) to tell him we were going to be late. He then went down to the Center to tell them that we were going to be a few minutes late, when he saw a sign on the door saying that the show was canceled! He then asked the person in charge why was it canceled & they said "Too many people showed up. There wasn't enough police there so we had to call it off. There has to be a certain ratio of police to kids when we throw shows like this. There has never been that many people here for a show since I've worked here". So, as luckwould have it, we got a call just as soon as we got off of the Causeway that the show was canceled. We will try to make this up to all of you who went to the show the best way we can.....although it will be a long time before we make that journey unless we get it in writing that there will be a show. Again, we apologize for those in charge who did not make the proper arrangements for the show....even though we had nothing to do with the cancellation.

***Etchi Shiyo-- The new tape is 99% finished. The tape is set for release on October 28th release. Click here if you'd like to see what's going to be on it & what the total of production has cost them to make this tape so far. If you'd like to order a copy of the tape, just e-mail the address below & the guys in the band will give you all the info you need on getting your own copy of what is destined to become rock'n'roll memorabilia.

***Attention New Orleans Area Bands-- The guys in NCS are planning on putting together a large "lollapalooza" style music fest sometime at the end of this year or beginning of '98 with all local acts. If you are in a band & are interested or know of someone who would be interested in playing, just e-mail the band at the address below & Brian will pass on all the info that we have so far. Here's a list of the bands that have been contacted & have shown interest in the show:

Mayan Genius
Rigid
No Idea
Jeremiah's Kind
Licked
Urban Decay
Nuts Can Surf (of course)

If you are interest e-mail us. We are looking for all kinds of acts. Everything from alternative rock to hip-hop to ska to techno...we want all styles represented.
