2/14 -After spending not even a month at Rita Brown's Gym in Altamonte, FL, Dom and her coach Luminita Miscenco are considering moving to Colorado Springs, CO to train at the US Olympic Training Center where many of the top male gymnasts train.

12/7 -Well, just when you think it's over, it's not. Dom is taking her dad back to court now because he is accused of stalking her and paying a hit man to have two of her friends killed, one of them being her coach, Luminita Miscenco. She still hasn't gotten an account of her money either. I guess we'll just see what happens!

11/22 -It turns out that Dom and her parents worked things out.

10/30 -Well, an agreement has been reached between Dominique and her parents. I guess they talked for a couple hours, and they have decided to allow her to become a legal adult. So, Congrats Dom, you're an adult! (I guess!)

10/24 -I guess Dominique ran away because her parents have spent all the money that she has earned in various competitions (it was in a trust fund). It was spent partly on the $4 million dollar gym they built. Dom is sueing so that she can have an account of all the money. I guess the last straw was when she was in an argument with her father and he threatened to deport Miscenco back to Romania.

10/21 -WOW! huge news! Dom has run away from home and is sueing for legal adulthood! I heard it on Headline News, so it should be pretty acurate! Wow! I'll keep ya updated!

10/8 -Dom got fourth in the Rock'n'Roll Championship. She did a good job, but she was up against some tought competition! Better luck next time. By the way, Kim Zmeskal won it!

9/30 -HAPPY 17TH BIRTHDAY NIQUE!

9/8 -Well, two things. First of all, Dom is on the cover of IG. Click here for more on that. Second, the Mag 7 had been inducted into the gymnastic hall of fame. Click here for that story.

9/2 -Dom has had her license for awhile, but I just hunted up a pic of her white Mercedes! Here it is!

8/24 -Sorry everyone! What you saw on Saturday was the prelims. Sunday were the finals. Dom still did well. She won the vault and beam, and placed third overall. Kristin Maloney won and Vanessa Atler got second. I was quite surprised to see Jennie Thompson come in fourth, and Elise Ray got fifth. Kim Zmeskal, who hasn't competed since 1992, placed eleventh, therefore making the National Team. (The top twenty are considered on the National Team.) Nique had some trouble on bars. One time her hand just ripped right off the bar! I'd never seen anything like it before! Wow! It wasn't good though. That was her lowest score. Hopefully she'll work on that before the World Champs. Overall, I was extremely impressed with her performance. Don't forget that she had an injured knee, and that could be why she had a few problems!

8/22 -I just finished watching the All-Around Competition of the Nationals. I'm once again very impressed with her performance. She did have a little trouble on the uneven bars, but she managed to come back very strong and score a 9.800 on the beam. She was very consistant, excepting the bars (she missed a move on the low bar and sat down on her dismount). Congratulations goes to Kristin Maloney. She won with a margin of .725! When I first saw her right after Atlanta, I thought she wouldn't amount to much, and here she is, National Champion! To bad for Vanessa Atler. Her problem was on the bars. She's been having a lot of trouble there recently. She fell off twice. She did excellent on the floor though and scored a 9.850. Kim Zmeskal was doing well too. She was very consistent. Else Ray had a wonderful floor routine and was in second for awhile. Overall, it was a great competition. I hope you didn't miss it. Don't forget to watch tomorrow too!

7/26 -I just found out that Domi has her license. Congratulations Domi!

7/19 -Domi is back!! Whoooooweeee! I just finished watching the Goodwill Games on TV. She won! She really won! I was so happy! I was like jumping up and down. She deserves it too. She's worked really hard. She looks like she's in top form. I can't wait to see what is still to come. In your face Svetlana Khorkina! She was so mad! Domi was even crying she was so happy!

3/15 -Well, not much is happening in her life lately huh? She has gotten two new coaches from Romania about two months ago. I think right now she's just trying to get her routines up to a 10.0 start value, so she's not doing much competing right now. I hope that we'll see more of her soon.

12/28 -I know this happened a long time ago, March to be exact, but I thought that some of you might want to see it any way. Click here to see the pictures from the March issue of SIFK.

12/14 -Dominique is now being coached by Kurt Thomas! This may have occured awhile ago, but I just found out.

11/11 -This is only a rumor, but I hear that Dominique is in Plano, TX and she's attending PSHS (Plano Senior High School). The move is only temporary and she'll be back in Houston in a few weeks.

I'm not sure when this happened but the JH Tour's new schedule has been released. Click here for a schedule of events and locations.

10/11 -I just finished watching the JH Tour on TV. It looks much better than the last one. I saw the show in Rochester, NY earlier this year. I loved it but this looks better still! I regret to say that I won't be going to any of the shows this time. I don't have a scanner to scan any pictures that I might take any way. The TV show was especially good because of all the interviews they had. It was just amazing! Dom was doing pretty easy routines if you use the new code of points but I'm sure that she'll get her difficulty up in a matter of time.

9/30 -Happy 16th Birthday Domi! Have fun driving!

9/6- Results from the Worlds are in. The US team only managed to finish 6th barely edging Belarus. The top three finishes were Russia, China, and Romania. Dom, Kristy Powell, and Kristen Maloney went on to the All-Around. Dom finished 14th behind Kristen and Kristy finished 24th. Dom failed to qualify for any of the event finals. Mohini Bhardwaj qualified for the vault, and Kristen Maloney qualified for the balance beam. Overall, I think that it was a pretty poor showing for the US considering the Olympic finish. I think it's because 6 of the Mag 7 are retitred and the teams for Russia, China, and Romania had most of their Olympic athletes. Just a little note on Dom. If she is really serious about going to Sidney, she has to get focused and stay focused. The JH Tour won't help. She needs to get back into the gym 30-40 hrs. a week, she needs to find a good coach, and she needs to channel all her energy into concentrating on making the team. I'm not saying that 14th in the world is bad. It is really good, but she's always said she wanted to go and become all-around champion. Quite frankly, 14th is not a champion in the eyes of the world. I couldn't even tell you who finished 14th in the Olympics. But I can tell you who finished 1st.

I'm not saying this to be mean, I really admire her. I know that she is trying to get back into shape but she is hurting her reputation. This is just my opinion. If you have anything to add just e-mail it to me.

8/17 - Congratulations Domi! You made the World Team!
