Trivia: 
1. As with all McElroy figures, Joe has a number of unique features, including a winker, a stick out tongue, moving and crossing eyes, a movable upper lip, and eyebrows that move in conjunction with the eyes.
2. This figure joined the Vent Haven collection on November 7, 1959.
3. Monfort Platt, a Cincinnati native, began his career as a ventriloquist in 1914.
4. Joe was received from Mrs. Platt.
5. If you have the Quicktime Player, you can see this figure on display in the Quicktime Pan Number 3. Joe is visible on the second row as soon as the pan loads, peeking out from behind the top hat.
