Xena started airing September 4, 1995 in the US, some 2140 days ago! And I have been a dedicated viewer ever since. I am a huge Xena fan to say the least. I think in the time we are in Xena is a great role model to have. With many kids today having role models like Dennis Rodman or Charles Barkley, I think Xena stands out. Especially for young girls. She is kind, good, and independent. She shows that women can do whatever they want. And the occasionally butt kicking of some men! This is why I enjoy Xena so much. I like what she stands for. Also her and Gabrielle are such great friends. No matter what side of the subtext fence you sit on. No one can deny they have a great friendship.
Recently the internet fans of Xena have been really upset with the choice to end Xena and the way it has been handled. Well I watched the last episode and even though I was filled with deep sadness of the show ending I really enjoyed watching it. I would have to say it was the best two hours of television, movies, ect that I have ever seen. Yes, I did cry alot. But it was a good ending. It had to end sometime. To soon I agree but what an ending!
I think the best thing that could ever happen would be a movie!
