Thunderhead were even more thrilled after their win to find that they had moved up two positions in the league. "We're going to let the boys have a break this week," said Garland. "We still need to continue our upward trend, but we don't want to burn out, either." Unexpected trends in some of the players' performance as of late has Thunderhead rethinking some of their starting lineup. Will we see a change in their organization? Only time will tell.

Their release moves newcomer Joan Navarro and Irishman Elliot Beirne into the sub-squad. "It's all part of Thunderhead's growing process," said owner and manager James Downs. "The management and the coaching staff all agree that while this will shake up Thunderhead at a crucial point in the season, it is indeed what's best.

While owner and manager James Downs would not comment on Thunderhead's recent rash od pink slips, he did have this to say: "The Kentucky Thunderhead's club has been undergoing a rehaul. With a new line-up and innovative training and game strategies, we hope to breathe new life into the team and rise to the top of the division." The players do appear to be in better form, and their spirit is higher than ever. But, it remains to be seen if this will translate into victories on the field.
