3.  JOHN CLEM³ DAVENPORT (JOHN WILSON², ADKINSON¹) was born April 04, 1880, and died February 27, 1971 in Salem, Livingston Co. KY.  He married (1) LULA ETHEL CHAMPION, daughter of THOMAS CHAMPION and VIRGINIA THRIFT.  She was born October 25, 1879 in Kentucky, and died May 18, 1937 in Paducah, McCracken Co. KY.  He married (2) VIRGIE HILL.

Notes for VIRGIE HILL:

      Virgie Hill, 2nd wife of John Clem Davenport was murdered in her sleep in their home above the Salem store, which they owned. John Clem was arrested for the murder, and actually served time in the Livingston Co. jail before the actual murderer was caught at another crime and confessed. John Clem was set free.
