Mugen no Kensen™ (Infinite Sword Devotion) – a sword art developed by Kyuusai Akumade (moi!) in real life with active students of over 40 within the art, is now selectively presented in a Role-play format for others to learn as well as to enjoy. The art itself is private, and known amidst close friends/family. All I present to Role-play is a portion of its concept and philosophy.

If any piece of technology developed by man for the art of survival can be deemed as worthy, then it would have to be the Sword. Nothing else in the world has been such a major accomplishment in human history than the significant creation of this weapon. In my sword art, this has become a philosophy to the point of living one’s life by the Sword. There have been but little in life who has utilized this frame of mind, this way of life, Miyamoto Musashi was one, and there have been others since... Although none are as notable as he. It is through this Role-play that I would like to promote the divinity that this articulate piece of craftsmanship has bought us all.

Hideyoshi’s Sword Hunt, was the single most controversial and politically significant move ever executed by the de facto Shogun, during Japan’s feudal history. In this period, Hideyoshi carried out a widespread search of all those rich Daimyo and Samurai whom possessed swords, and in turn for them releasing those weapons to him, he would give them money. Not only did many Samurai and Daimyo take up this awfully strange and yet generous offer, they also lost the only source of protection they had. This tactic allowed for the near total suppression of insurrection amongst those in his domain. Brilliant, and cunning, two of the more enigmatic qualities Hideyoshi possessed.
