My negitive Feedback page by Koolgang64

We, the sellers of E-bay are at the mercy of some buyers when negitive feeback is left. This negitive feedback is a prime example of that. Here, you will see the whole story of why this negitive feedback was left for me, Koolgang 64.

Here is the bad feedback

Hi, I recieved my atari today and everything looked great except for the front left corner of the console is shattered. There were shards of the broken plastic in the bag it was wrapped in. The box appeared to be extremely well-packed so I'm assuming that perhaps the damage was caused before the console was put in the box? I don't think you knew the console was damaged because it was so carefully packed and also you left positive feedback right away. I tried the console, the controllers , and games and everything works perfectly and is in good condition as shown in your auction pics but the broken console case is just too much to overlook. I'm wondering if we can do a partial refund or return or something. I'm very pleased with the overall quality of the controllers, hardware and games, but the console is ruined. Can I ship it back for a partial refund? What do you think is fair? Respectfully, Tsuguo P. S. I sent a picture in a separate email

MY RESPONSE

Hi, Sorry if the console was broken when you got it, but it was fine when it was packed. I will send you the $8.00 you paid for shipping via Paypal, please pack up the console, games etc. and ship it all back to me. I will issue a full refund upon receipt of the game system . R. Fulton Koolgang 64

THEN HE SAID...

Hi, Thank you for the shipping refund. I am actually very happy with everything other than the console itself. If it is alright, I would like to keep the games, controllers and connectors. Do you have any other consoles that you could use to replace the broken one? Or could I just send the console alone back for a partial refund? Thank you, Tsuguo

SO HE SAID...

Hi Mr. Fulton,

I understand your position fully. First of all, I want you to know that I believe that what happened here was an accident - I want you to know that I acknowledge that you left me great feedback right away, sent the item as fast as possible (at an extra cost to yourself) and it was extremely welll packed. You have gone above and beyond keeping your end of the deal. Also you sent a shipping refund no questions asked. You have been great. If you have researched my feedback, you will see that all of the ataris I've bought are 6 switch consoles (with the exception of one 4 switch that came with a plug I wanted) I don't collect 4 switch consoles and I was planning on reselling the console. It is a terrible coincidence that the part of your system I did not want was damaged and I admit this to you knowing that it will probably only cause more suspicion on your part. I bought your set because everything looked to be in great condition, which it is, and because I wanted the joysticks which happen to be the original ones that came with 6 switch consoles, and I wanted the grey power plug - also came with 6 switch consoles. I also needed several of the games included.

Here is what I believe happened: it appears that after the console was wrapped in the plastic bag that it was dropped. Then it was put into the box it was shipped in. The damage does not appear to have taken place inside the box. The box only has one small puncture in it and the puncture does not correspond to the original placement of the console.

This is not a scam to try to trade a broken atari with you. But I do understand your suspicions. Like I mentioned before, I am very pleased with everything - the speedy and friendly service, the packing, and the quality of the product, but it was damaged somehow. I still don't understand why I have to return the entire set. I am very happy with everything other than the console. I was going to resell the console to defer part of my initial expense for the games and controllers.

Please let me know if you will consider anything other than returning the entire system?

Sincerely, Tsuguo Kohno

so I asked...

HIS RESPONSE...

Hello, I saw a comprable 4 switch woodgrain on ebay for $25 BIN but the shipping was $10:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3082204261&category=1250&tc=photo

Since you have already sent $8, I think $27 is perfectly reasonable and fair.

Thank you, Tsuguo

I got the Flu here so I did not reply Hello again, Because of your reluctance to negotiate a refund, I am no longer going to "just wait" for a response. I have never left a negative on ebay before but if you delay any longer, I may have to. Thank you, Tsuguo

If I have not heard back from you by Friday evening, I will have no other recourse than to leave negative feedback. I have made every attempt to contact you to resolve this issue but since you are ignoring my emails, I am forced to assume that you are unwilling to reach a mutually agreeable solution. I will wait until 7:00 pm Friday evening. If I have not heard from you then, you will be receiving negative feedback from me. Please contact me ASAP, Tsuguo

SO I said...

Sir; If you believe that the system was damaged then please send the entire package back for a full refund. I will not issue a partial refund. If you feel the need to keep the system, games etc. and leave negative feedback then by all means do it now. Don't wait until 7pm on Friday. Remember, I have the right to respond to that feedback.

THEN HE SAID...

You should bear in mind that no matter what response you make to my negative, you have already left me a positive so it will not affect my rating. Also, as a seller, negative feedback will more likely affect you more than me, even if you could still leave me a negative. Whatever you say is just retaliation. I am the one who kept my part of the agreement - you got your money instantly - I on the the other hand got something damaged and you want me to send the whole thing back so that you can collect insurance funds from the post office which I am sure exceed the value of the item. How much did you insure the item for? That is the only reason I can think of that you would want the entire system back. I am making you a deal that you or any seller should be more than happy to agree to - I think you're hoping to get the entire system back so that you can attempt to redeem undeserved insurance from the USPS - then you will have much more to worry about than a negative comment on ebay. The reason I have decided to leave a negative comment at 7:00 pm on friday is that you have been unwilling to communicate. If you were an honest seller, one that others could trust, you would try to resolve this issue immediately. Instead you are just giving me the "run around". Due to your lack of communication, threatening negative feedback was the only way I could get you to respond. If I leave you negative comments, I WILL make sure to mention an attempt at insurance fraud and if you resond to my negative, it will only give me another chance to respond to your response - so you will end up having a small well-written paragraph (by me) right at the top of your feedback comments. I sincerely hope that you will reconsider. Tsuguo

So that's it. The story of negitive feedback left for me. Here it is one more time....
