The Gorilla Foundation...was established for the protection and preservation of gorillas. Especially cool is Project Koko, which teaches American Sign Language to these wonderful animals. I find it fascinating...

The Humane Society of the US Their efforts include campaigns for more humane treatment of farm animals and wildlife. This site has some good articles on pet care, too.

The James Herriot Homepage A really well-done site dedicated to one of my favorite authors. His story "Fertility Rites" is the funniest thing I've ever read in my life!  Every animal lover should read this country vet's books.

National Wildlife Federation A great place to find out more about our endangered friends...and what we can do about it.

Rainbow Bridge Tribute Pages A really sweet page, with tributes to animal friends who have passed on, and the poem, "Rainbow Bridge." Also has a chat room for emotional support.

Veterinary Medicine This site covers various topics, and is updated weekly. You can even ask the vet for advice.

World Wildlife Fund Another excellent site about endangered species. Thought-provoking articles, a quiz, and lots of info. If you want to help out, you can send a E-Card; donations are made to the WWF for each (free) card sent.
