          There are many different types of poetry. Each verse of a poem does not have to rhyme, but it must have rhythm. Onomatopoeia may help personify characters in poetry which also help illuminate the meaning behind the sometimes abstract words. Poetry may be hard to understand, and the language unusual and creative, but taking time to determine its meaning is worth the effort.
