Thunder rolls across the night sky;
Lightning flashes blinding bright;
A harsh wind rips through the trees;
The anguish in her soul has brought her to her knees.

Her eyes flash with a wild blue fire;
The rage within pushing the storm ever higher;
Iredescent wings folded tightly to her back;
Of fury and pain she has no lack.

Half human, half fae;
Her magic cannot cast this pain away.
Why must she suffer, never to be free?
Will true love be denied her by destiny?

She walks between worlds, through the veil of time;
Can answer every riddle, can compose a musing rhyme.

Human emotion she feels, love she has known;
But her fairy birth, destined her alone.
So there she sits upon her knees;
Her pain and anger fueling the wind through the trees;

The sorrow in her soul unleashes the rain from the sky;
The lightning in the heavens~blue fire from her eyes

In the dark of the night a shrill wind screams;
Leaving its icy touch wherever it may please.
Scattering glittering frost upon the frozen ground;
Leaving in its wake, silence as the only sound.

The full moon rises high into the night skies;
Revealing the stark, cold beauty unto my eyes.
Feeling a chill against my naked skin;
It is time to dance, my ritual shall begin.
To the four corners of earth shall I turn;
Deep within my soul the fire will burn.
Worshipping Mother Earth, the Goddess above;
Dancing for her greatness, singing of her love.
On and on I'll dance through the night;
Performing my ritual til dawns early light.
Twirling and whirling, 'round and 'round I'll go;
My winter solstice ritual, dancing in new fallen snow.
