Bula was the sister of Lester Webb, deceased, formerly of Hiseville,Ky. He was my step-grandfather, on my mother's side of Davidson. His gr-grandparents were Washington Boone Webb and Lucretia. His grandparents were John Willis Webb and Mary Elizabeth Minor. His parents were William Washington Webb and Sarah Rock.One of William's sisters,also married a Rock.
Washington Boone Webb and Lucretia were the parents of Emeline Webb,who was a sister to John Willis Webb.Emeline Webb, also, married Robert Minor.Robert and Emeline Minor were my great-great grandparents. My uncle, remembers an uncle who everyone called uncle Wash. If I have anything wrong, please contact me at: skyking@@indy.net

Exerp from book "Barren county Heritage" page 182 ; 1883 - Hiseville Christian Church , The Hiseville Christian Chruch was organized in 1883 under the leadership of its first minister, Rev. John T. Rogers, with a group of members from Old Salem who were previous members of the Church at Zion. Among the charter members were : Edward Steele Edwards, Edmund Hodges, Ellen Vaughn Lashley, James B Maggard, Bennett Smith, P.E. "Whack" Terry and Ellen Bagby Terry. Edwards and Maggard were elders.

BENNETT is listed in Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home burials.Dr.C.G. Depp,Uremia, services May 14 1941, 2 pm, Hiseville Cemetery.

Whereas in the action of MARTHA E PENNINGTON Plaintiff against EDNA S SMITH & co defendants.
Pending in the Barren Circuit Court, an order was entered at the Sept. term 1881, directing T.M. DICKEY Master Commissioner of said court , to expose for sale at public auction, to the highest and best bidder, the property hereinafter described; and whereas said property was sold in accordance with said order, on the 16th day of December 1881, for the sum of seven hundred and fourty dollars and - cents when B.W. SMITH , became the purchaser thereof; and whereas the report of said sale was confirmed by said Court at the March Term 1882, and at the same term 1882 an order was entered directing said Commissioner to execute a deed of conveyance of said property to said B. W. SMITH , but for greater certainty , the record and proceedings in said case are referred to. Now therefore, this indenture , made and entered into this 18th day of march 1882, between GEORGE A. PENNINGTON , MARTHA E. PENNINGTON, EDNA S. SMITH, REUBEN SMITH, BY T.M. DICKEY Master Commissioner of the said Court of the first part and of the second part, Witnesseth that for an in consideration of the premises, the party of the first part , by said Commissioner afore said has sold and by this writing do convey to said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns for ever, the following described property to wit. A tract of land in Barren County in Rich Grove , on the Glasgow and Bardstown turnpike , containing about 20 acres. Bounded one west by the land of J.L. CALDWELL and the line between the two places, begins on a hickory and runs with a marked line S64 poles to a large beech and black gum, and on the South bounded be the lands of the late Jno.B. Wilson. This line runs E36 poles to an elm and two dogwoods. Said land is bounded one North and East by the lands of Henry L. Rogers, that were conveyed to him by W.B.ROGERS. A lein is hereby retained on said land to secure the payment of said purchase money. To have and to hold said property with its appertenances, unto the said grantee his heirs and assigns, the said Commissioner conveys all the right, title and interest , legal and equitable of the said parties of the first part, in and to said property, and warrants the title thereto, so far as the is authorized by the judgement , orders , and proceedings in said cause and no further ; but he does not bind himself personally by anything contained herein, in any event whatever in testimony whereof, said T. M. DICKEY Master Commissioner aforesaid, has hereunto subscribed his name this 18th day of March 1882.

DICKEY, Commissioner, and was by him duly acknowledged to be his act and deed, and said deed having been examined by the court, was approved and confirmed and so endorsed by the Judge , and ordered to be transmitted , duly certified to the clerk of the Barren County Court for record, which is now done accordingly, given under my hand this 28th day of April 1882 .
