A Tribute to America

In Memory of September 11

This page of my website is in memory of September 11, 2001.
It is in memory of all of those firefighters who lost their lives fighting the fires and in honor of all of those who survived.
It is to thank all of the police officers, the EMTs, the paramedics, the doctors and the nurses that helped out on that tragic day.
It is to thank those who helped anyone in anyway during this tragic event.
And finally, to offer sympathy to anyone who lost someone due to the events that transpired.

A Fireman's Prayer

When I am called to duty, God,
Whenever flames may rage;
Give me strength to save some life,
whatever be it's age.
Help me embrace a little child
before it is too late.
Or save an older person
from the horror of that fate,
Enable me to be alert
And hear, the weakest shout,
And quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out.
I want to fulfill my calling
And to give the best in me.
To guard my every neighbor
and protect his property.
And if according to my fate
I am to loose my life.
Please bless with your protection
My children and my wife.

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self
Their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God the gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!

O beautiful for patriot dreams
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grce on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

September 11

Terror
Home of the brave
Firefighters risk their lives
Five thousand lives are lost that day
