My husband and I along with some other people went to BWCAW (Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness) in July of 2001. These are a few pictures of the trip. We spent 7 days canoeing and exploring various lakes. We had to portage through some areas to get from one lake to another. We had a lot of fun and are hoping to do it again possibly in 2003.

This picture was taken after a long day of exploration.
My husband Jason had all he could take and decided it was time to rest.

This was how meals were prepared. The nice campfire way. Carrying in food was interesting.
We could not have any bottles and everything we brought in couldn't spoil. We were hoping to eat fish,
but fishing was not very good. We ate a lot of instant noodles and drank mostly pre-sweetened Kool-Aid.

Welcome to our humble abode! This was home for the trip.
There is nothing like camping in a
tent out in the middle of nowhere! Ahhh....

This picture is of a sunset in the Boundary Waters.
But honestly the picture doesn't do the sunset any justice. Sunsets there were absolutely breath-taking.
