Welcome to the surfing page. Surfing can be very intense. Especially when your on a huge wage and you catch an edge and get sucked under by the ocean current.

The surfer in this picture found a great wave that has a huge tube forming. Tube riding is the main goal of many surfers. It's hard to find that perfect wave, but this guy found it.

Riding waves like this one on the left is very dangerous. If you want to begin the sport i sugest you stay away from wave's that are this big.

Surfing was invented before skateboarding, and snowboarding. Surfing really got popular in the 1960's and 1970's, and boomed into a huge industry.
It's not known when the first surfboard took to the water, but we know it originated in Hawaii.
