Band History Other
bands have done this, write their own history/biography type thing, so we
thought we'd continue the trend.
The original members of our old band back a year ago or so were Chris,
Mitch and our old singer Jared. Chris met Mitch at McDonalds where they both
still work, unfortunately. Anyway, Mitch introduced Chris to Jared, Mitch and Jared had
been jamming for a while before we met and already had a bunch of songs written
and so we wrote from there. our first practice ever was at Jared's house where
Chris brought his whole drum set and set it up in his basement. from there we continued
to play at my place, we went thru 2 singers before we decided that Jared would
sing Mike (our current singer and another mike). we played our first show at le salle de L'x downtown on St. Catherine's on
December 6th 2002, that show was a lot of fun to play, Chris for one had a blast.
after that show Jared decided to get a second guitarist, the person we found is
our current guitarist Daniel and he played with us in our second show at Grover
Hall in Snowdon, that show was the worst we have ever seen, superior sound were
the sound crew and they did a piss poor job, needless to say, the show was a
waste of time. After that show Jared decided to kick Mitch out because of lack
of interest, complete crap but nevertheless, we were never the same after that. Jared
found a very inexperienced bassist to replace Mitch and that's where we fell
off. the months following I hated being at practice, Jared became more
controlling and anal and the new bassist wasn't really trying too hard to play
our songs. And well in the middle of the summer Chris and Daniel left the band and
formed a new one with Mitch and our old member Mike which is our current set up as we speak. the band we
are in is going amazingly well, each of us have a lot of experience and play our
instruments to our full potential, we also have very different influences and
tastes in music.
