KOA High Council

The KOA High Council is comprised of four guildmembers chosen by the Guildmaster and the Sect Commanders from the current active roster. Just so that everyone knows how the Council members are chosen, I will give a short explanation. We base whom we choose and several different things.

1. How responsible a member can be making very difficult decisions.

2. How long the member has been with us.

3. How well the member understands the game.

4. Whether or not the member can handle heavy responsibility.

5. How well the member knows and understands the guild as well as the guild policies.

A members rank in their chosen sect does not effect the decision of whether or not to place them on the Council. For a member to be selected they must meet the above guidelines and have the vote of the Guildmaster and all five Sect Commanders. The responsibilities of the High Council members are as follows.

1. Acceptance of new members upon application.

2. Qualifying a member for a Guardian Quest.

3. Accepting quests for members from the Sect Commanders.

4. Making final judgment as to whether a guild member has gone rogue.

5. Sending members on quests from Sect Commanders.

6. Making final judgment on whether a member has turned traitor.

7. Making final judgment for punishment on members turned traitor and or rogue.

8. Settling in formal court a member to member dispute.

9. Accepting or declining invitations to war.

10. Whether or not to declare war on another guild.

11. Holding and conducting a tribunal for a member wrongdoing and deciding final punishment or acquittal

The Guildmaster shall sit in on all Council meeting s but shall not interfere with any Council ruling unless the following circumstances apply.

1. The Council has a deadlocked 2-2 vote. In this case the Guildmaster will throw the deciding vote.

2. The Guildmaster has serious concerns or strongly disagrees with a Council decision. In this case one of two things will happen. Either the Guildmaster will overrule the Council decision or a general meeting of all members will take place and a mass vote taken depending on the issue at hand.

Lord Zoltan

Lord Ryan

If a Council member is at anytime unable to fulfill their duties then they will be asked to resign from the Council and a new Council member chosen to replace them. Being a Council member does not grant a person special privileges or power over other guildmembers. Your sect rank will still apply. For definitions on what constitutes a rogue and traitor as well as guild criminal acts see the definitions below.

Rogue Guildmember

A rogue guildmember is defined as a member who stops following guild policies and rules while still guilded as well as commits acts on non-guildmembers that does not follow our mission. A rogue member will also be defined as any KOA guilded person who continually commits acts that would lower the guild reputation.

Guild Traitor

This one should be fairly easy to figure out without a definition but here it is anyway, short and to the point. A traitor to the guild is a person who continuously pk’s and loots either the members and or the Guildmaster.

Guild Criminal Acts

This is not like a rogue or traitor in that it is acts that are not being continuously committed but acts done on an occasional basis. These acts would be things such as stealing from another member, stealing from or looting a non-member and not returning their items. Harassment to other players that causes a uniquely negative impact on their playing experience. (Harassment shall not apply when you are in Feluccia Facet.) Attacking a member without asking first. There are a few other things I could add but it is time consuming and they will be brought up if they actually occur.

Any questions you may have please feel free to ask them and the Guildmaster will answer as best he can.
