War of the Guildmasters
ANNOUNCING a new event that may be of special interest to you. Recently I came up with the idea to see who just might be the strongest and baddest guildmaster on Napa Valley. Do you think you might be the one? Well now's your chance to find out. The War of the Guildmasters is about to begin. Saturday the 16th of November at 9:00 pm PST in the Jhelom Felucca Fighting Pits will be the first tournament. And before you ask yes red guildmasters are allowed to compete. We will gate you in safely to the pits from the Chaos Shrine. Please be warned for any who enter and are red that we cannot control what happens outside of the fighting area.
The War of the Guildmasters will be an annual tournament sponsored by Stratics and hosted by myself and other Napa Valley Stratics staff. Any person who is a guildmaster on the Napa Valley shard is urged to participate in the competition. We will hold this tournament five times a year. The first four tournaments will be normal tournaments where you will be pitted against other guildmasters who have registered to compete. The fifth and final tournament will be a contest between the winners of the four previous tournaments, which will decide who among you, is indeed
Each winner from the first four tournaments will bear the right to display in their guild title, "Master of Guilds " and will have to defend that title at the next tournament. At the end of the year when the fifth tournament comes around the winners of the previous four tournaments will come together and battle it out to become Supreme Champion. If for some reason someone is unable to compete in the final tournament then a second place runner up from a previous tournament will be randomly selected to stand in his place.
As with any tournament there will be rules to follow, which I have listed below.
1. Outside interference in the way of helping a competitor will result in forfeiture of the match.
2. No pets or mounts allowed. No summoning of pets either live or magical.
3. No poisoned weapons taken into the ring. Weapon poisoning must occur during battle.
4. No magical weapons or armor this includes runic weapons.
5. Potions are allowed but no prechugging. If you wish to use enhancing potions then you must wait until after the match starts.
6. Dragon Scale armor will be permitted.
7. There will be no usage of items of invisibility, no hiding and no use of the invisibility spell during a battle.
8. All matches are to the death. There will be healers provided to resurrect and heal a fallen combatant.
9. Warriors are allowed to have one backup set of armor and one backup weapon.
10. No trash talking your opponent.
11. Those competitors who are currently red WILL be allowed to compete.
12. NO, and I repeat NO murder counts are to be given. Doing so will disqualify you from competing in future tournaments.
All participants will be asked to provide a check in the amount of 5,000 gold as their entry fee prior to the battle. This will be used to help cover the cost of the prizes. Prizes will be as follows for the first four tournaments.
1st place: 250,000 gold
2nd place: 75,000 gold
3rd place: 30,000 gold
As stated before the winners of the first four tournaments will be named "Master of Guilds " and be interviewed by a Stratics reporter. This interview will be posted in Stratics News as well as on the Napa Valley Forum and a link to you guilds website will be included if you have one. All participants are asked to please send in an entry form to uonapavalley@stratics.com so that we can get an idea of how many competitors we will have. On this form please include the following information.
Please include in the subject line of your email entry War of the Guildmasters.
1. You characters name.
2. Your guilds name.
3. Your guilds website (if applicable)
4. Your icq # so a Stratics Staff Member can easily contact you or email address if no icq.
Details on the prizes for the Fifth and final tournament will be posted in a couple of weeks so that you will know what is at stake for the title of Supreme Champion. The top three winners from each tournament will be listed on Stratics as well as a list of all those who competed in the event.
