I began my martial arts career near the age of 10 in Tae Kwon Do under Grandmaster Shins Chung Do Kwan association. My instrustor was Roger Derosset and I was active for nearly 4 years until a new instructor took over the classes. Through high school I found myself pracitcing my own techniques and then following up working some with the high school wrestling team, with no prior knowledge of wrestling except for WCW and WWF at the time. After a year off of any style of martial arts I came back to Troy Burchetts kenpo karate and recieved my black belt and instructors permit. Being an active competitor and etc. I went far beyond my own expectations. Out of the martial arts world, I have been a youth pastor since I was 17 years old. Working and helping the youth of Prestonsburg. One night I woke from a dream and I typed everything God had giving me about a new martial arts program. With prayer and God the organization is growing and doing great. I would like to give thanks to the following people for inspiration, knowledge and help. First and foremost God for helping me out. Secondly my parents for their support, my church family, Troy Burchett, Roger Derossett, Curtis Sizemore, and all my martial arts family at EKYMMA, Toufic Sadd instructor of self defense at PCC and lastly but sure not least, all of the students who have been there for it all. God Bless all of you. Josh Ratliff
