Blues Brothers UK Tour 2003
If you're looking on this part of the site, you are probably already aware of this official tour currently taking place... Steve Parry returns as MD/drums along with many familiar faces - Steve Rickwood on bass, Graham McGrotty on guitar, Richie Beesley on sax, Bryan Davis on trumpet and - new to us - Rob on keys (he presumably has a surname, it eludes us for the moment...). Brad Henshaw reprises his role as Jake with the perpetually lovely Mark Lawson as Elwood. The bluettes this time round are David Danzs, Neal Wright and Jenny Wallace.
It's now well into the tour (shame on us) but here are the forthcoming dates:
Chebbs - gigs
Chebbs - original line-up Paul McGee, Matt Nasir, Ollie Weston and Dan Barrow - are playing several dates in the next few months, including 12th and 18th January at the Brighton Walkabout. Graham McGrotty will be playing with them on the 18th. On Thursday 23rd January they're playing the Temple Walkabout, London.
Chebbs also frequently appear at the Roadhouse playing rocked-up cover version of "classics" by artists such as U2, The Beatles, Queen and Stereophonics... they describe it as "top singalong, dancealong material"...
UK Tour 2003
New UK tour (Out on Parole & Live On Stage - hmm) scheduled for Spring 2003... Steve Parry has promised to invite back all the previous UK guys... if he knows what's good for him he will. (You remember the deal, Sarge).
European Tour 2002 - 2003
Many familiar faces appear in the current EuroTour, see Cast Page for more info.
Godspell
Steve Parry (MD/drums), Julian Burdock (guitar), Matt Nasir (bass) and Laura Rossi (keyboards) all cropped up on the recent Godspell tour - a most enjoyable if rather religious musical! Shame about the text messaging/email start, but after that it was pretty impressive actually. Johnathan Wilkes (who alternated with Daniel Macpherson in the roles of Jesus & Judas) is currently playing the role of Frank in the UK tour of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show...
