Dan Snape was born in 1976. He was classically trained and later turned to jazz. By age 13 he had made his performance debut at teh Royal Festival Hall in London, and by 14 had written music for the BBC. Twice winner of the Daily Telegraph Young Jazz Musician of The Year award, he graduated from Leeds college in 1997 with a BA (Hons) in jazz studies. Soon after he was awarded a scholarship to attend Berkely College of Music in Boston, USA. For the last two years Dan has been studying and performing in the US, studying under jazz legend JoAnne Brackeen. Amongst his other teachers have been Nikki Isles and Django Bates.
This was Dan's third tour with The Official Tribute to the Blues Brothers, after touring with them in 1997 and 1998. Dan has also performed with many of the world's top jazz musicians including Lewis Nash, Bobby Shew, Victor Mendoza, Tim Garland, Elaine Delmar, Mark Nightingale and many others.
