NEW CURRENT NEWS !!!

• For those of you who expressed interest in helping with the construction of the Habitat home I will be posting a NEW sign up sheet/schedule around the dept. The construction is set to begin on Aug 31, 2009 at 8:00am. The sign ups will be for Weeks 1-3 and a description of the job(s) that will be done during that time will be listed on the sheet. Every three weeks a new sheet will begin. So, if you can build a wall for example you may want to sign up for a couple of days on week one. THE DAYS AND TIMES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION WILL BE MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, AND FRIDAYS FROM 8:00AM-3:00PM AND SATURDAYS FROM 8:00AM-12:00PM! These will be the days every week unless something changes them (like two weeks of rain?) so, nobody can say

• Congrats to Lt. Kevin Smith of OPD who will be newly retiring after more than 20 yrs of service at the end if this month. Thanks to you and best wishes for your future!!

• Oct 3rd - PRECIOUS BLOOD on Fenmore St - the FOP is having a BBQ chicken cook to help raise money for Lt. Kevin Smith's (OPD) daughter Mandy Smith. Chickens are $7.00 and can be picked up between 12:30 - 1:30. ALL proceeds will go to the Smith family to help off-set medical expenses for Mandy. ANY AND ALL HELP IN COOKING CHICKENS OR SELLING TICKETS ARE NEEDED ..... See Scott Norris or any OPD Officer to inquire about purhasing a ticket!!!!
