I met a angel once
I knew she was a angel
For she was more beautiful
Than anything Id ever seen

I was drugged by her eyes
For they had a fire within them
And they pierced
Through my hearts walls

Her smile crushed any sorrow
I felt within
And I felt welcome and accepted
Her heart went straight for mine
And attracted the darkness around it

I can now look back
And know for sure
That I had meant a angel that day
For the warmth she surrounded me with
The love she filled me with

My anger had no place near her
My rebellion had no place against her
My rage was crippled by this angel
Only a moment did I beleive
She would stay
Only a glance of heaven

Did I beleive I was being shown
Nothing would last that long
Nothing that was mine to have
Nothing that a man like me
Would receive in this life
Yet she stayed and stayed

I tried to beleive this
Was not a angel
I tried to prove
Such beauty doesnt exist

I found more beleif in beleiving
That this was a dark deception from satan
Again in my life
Rather than beleiving in angels
My angel I didnt want to keep

For to have a love
And lose it again
But to have a angel and lose it
Is like no other loss
Yet she stays and stays

Such beauty,such compassion,such love
Such hope,such strength,such courage
Such things can only have
The heart of God himself behind them
I feel Gods love when she loves me

I see God looking at me
When I look in her eyes
Such a rich man I am
Such riches are tempted
To cage up for ones self
So as to never lose it

But you should see her fly
You should see her when
Her wings are spread open
Such things need to be free

Such things have more worth
Free than being trapped
