My car is a 1985 Nissan 300ZX which I bought from a guy at Steffen?s Tool Crib (located on US 42 in Florence). When the man told me, ?I?ll take 500 for it.? I gave the man $500 on the spot if he could get it started, he jumped it with jumping cables and proceeded to pump the front left tire up. The car had been sitting for about one year. The Z is a goldish color, which needs a lot of bodywork. The side skirts are off and there is rust where the side skirts used to be. I need all new tires. I?m not going to buy my tires without buying my rims at the same tire. I have a lot of things in mind for my 300ZX.
I have already bought a lot of things for the engine. I have bought: new spark plugs, spark plug wires, water pump, thermostat, new alternator belt, oil filter, oil sensor, and a air filter. I have also bought new antennae, which will be installed, with my cd player.
Working on my car has now become a hobby. All I do is work, work on my car, and go to school. This car has changed by way of thinking about cars. I see them as a unique piece of equipment. Ever since going down to Edgewater, I?ve been getting into cars more and more. In case you don?t know what Edgewater is, I?ll tell you. It is a drag strip where you can race your car against anybody.
Recently I have been driving my 300ZX and it has been acting up. One reason is because it is a stick and I need to learn how to drive it. It has nearly blown up on me a couple of days ago, but we fixed that problem.
I hope to finish my 300ZX by the end of the school year. I have a big list of things to do, but I have some money to do stuff with since selling my old car. I know I am going to give it a paint job, rims and some nice side skirts.
Well I have decided not to go with what i have said. I have found out that working on a car is much more work than what I thought it would be. So I am selling my 300ZX because I do not have the time for the car, and there is much work to be done to it. I have now bought a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM SE, which I am really happy to have. I do not plan on working on this car except for the neons and the system I have installed.
