RHEMA IS NOT JUST A NAME

I started to say right off that Susie and I are Christian believers but that's not exactly true. Sue is a Christian. I am a Christian. But it's not a couple thing. Each one of us has to make that decision. Don't wait on your mate, you could wait too long!

Rhema is a Greek word that is found in original manuscripts of the bible that means "word". So big deal! Well let's look at it another way to define "word".

Garden, that's a word and it brings something to mind. Picture a garden full of corn, beans, squash, tomatoes and all sorts of good things but no weeds. Now step into that picture, the garden is still there but you are part of it. The garden becomes real to you, it can belong to you. Rhema means a word, a concept that you have not just acknowleged but have understood it as truth in your own life.

Well in the bible God gives HIS word that certain things can belong to us. It's just so many words except sometimes we take ownership of the words. They become ours. There's not enough space here to tell you all the times that our kids have been healed or protected from harm or for that matter the fact that they were placed in our home. I asked for each one and someday I may tell that story.

Our children were raised on this farm. They have all seen life begin at the barn. There is so much that we have and have been witness to that is a gift from our God. HIS word has become real to us in so many ways.

Rhema seemed the appropriate name for one of the gifts that HE gave us, stewardship of this small piece of HIS creation.

And the evening and the morning were the 6th day!!!
