Whitley County (0-0) vs. Lexington Catholic (0-0)

Whitley County took a 33-14 lead with 10:18 left in the game but Lexington Catholic roared back for a 43-33 victory.  Whitley County lost a key performer in the third quarter as QB Jamie Lebanion left the game with a shoulder injury.  Lebanion not only directs the option attack but also handles the kick off duties, kicks extra points, punts, and plays linebacker.  Whitley County also had several miscues tonight as they were penalized 22 times for 184 yards.

Lexington Catholic scored 29 points in the last 9:19 of the game.  The Knights scored on a 17 yard TD run by Greg Raglin and a conversion kick by Benton Hupman to cut the deficit to 12, 33-21.  Lexington Catholic recovered an on-side kick and scored on a 10 yard run by Nic Ward and another kick by Hupman to make the score 33-28.  The Knights next two TD drives (TD runs of 8 and 44 yards by Greg Raglin were set up by interceptions by Ryne Least.

Lexington Catholic recorded 21 first downs and 432 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized seven times for 65 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.  Whitley County had 19 first downs and 495 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized 22 times for 184 yards and had two passes intercepted. 

Greg Raglin led the Lexington Catholic ground game with 212 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries.  Nic Ward added 39 yards and a TD on eight carries.  Ward also completed 16 of 27 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Bryce Andrews caught six passes for 77 yards.  Lee Ramsey led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles.  Zach Mitchell added three solo and four assisted tackles.  Ryne Least recorded four solo tackles and intercepted two passes. 

Josh Wynn led Whitley County's ground game with 136 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries.  Cody Bramblett carried the ball 14 times for 102 yards and a touchdown.  Alex Patrick added 61 yards and a TD on seven carries.  Travis Inman completed two of eight passes for 88 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Justin Goins caught a 75 yard TD pass.  Cody Bramblett led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles.  Alex Patrick added three solo tackles, four assisted tackles, and recovered a fumble.
