Scott County continues to roll with a 34-14 victory over Tates Creek. Scott County recorded 14 first downs and 364 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 38 yards and lost two fumbles. Tates Creek had 14 first downs and 294 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized three times for 15 yards and lost one fumble.
Brandon Lawson led the Scott County ground game with 92 yards and two touchdowns on six carries. Jose Smith added 62 yards on nine carries. Anthony Sandoval also carried the ball nine times for 50 yards. Logan Travis chipped in with 42 yards on five carries. Lawson completed five of eight passes for 87 yards with a TD. Eric Sanders had five receptions for 81 yards and a TD. Ryan Wyant led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles. Cody Hudson added three solo and six assisted tackles.
The Tates Creek ground game was led by Ty Sparks with 257 yards and two touchdowns on 40 carries. Mike Stone completed four of 17 passes for 33 yards. Robert Knowles caught one pass for 18 yards. Joe Conlon led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles. Brent Abshire added four solo and two assisted tackles.
