Lexington Catholic (4-1) vs. Harrison County (4-1)

Lexington Catholic defeated Harrison County 14-0 tonight despite turning the ball over five times.  Harrison County QB Van Isaac was sidelined by an injury and the Lexington Catholic defense managed to hold Harrison County running back Jared Sharp to a net zero yards on 10 carries.  Sharp rushed for 513 yards and seven touchdowns in Harrison County's first five games.

Lexington Catholic recorded 19 first downs and 353 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized seven times for 70 yards, lost a fumble, and had four passes intercepted.  Harrison County had only six first downs and 168 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 10 times for 66 yards and had two passes intercepted. 

Shane Israel led Lexington Catholic's ground game with 133 yards on 25 carries.  Nic Ward completed 16 of 25 passes for 154 yards with one TD and four interceptions.  Tyler Corvin caught six passes for 127 yards and a TD.  Nick Vicini led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Winston Guy added five solo tackles. 

Julius Talbott led the Harrison County ground attack with 50 yards on 15 carries.  Aaron Newby carried the ball twice for 42 yards.  QB Josh Moss completed three of nine passes for 18 yards with two interceptions.  Julius Talbott caught two passes for 11 yards.  Aaron Newby led the defense with 10 solo and five assisted tackles.  Mike Brown added five solo and two assisted tackles.  Bryant Warmouth, Chris Young, Aaron Hicks, and Julius Talbott each recorded an interception.
