Friday November 23

Class A Playoffs

Lexington Christian Academy  45    Pikeville  14
The LCA defense forced six turnovers and the Eagles scored 35 points after halftime to earn the victory.  QB Lucas Witt ran for two TDs and threw for two more scores.

Frankfort  35    Mayfield  14
Frankfort raced out to a 28-0 lead at halftime on their way to victory.

Hazard  44    Campbellsville  6
Hazard improved to 13-0 behind the arm of Tyler Olinger (253 yards and three TD passes) and the legs of Greg Adams (166 yards and two TDs).

Class 2A Playoffs

Newport Central Catholic  28    Corbin  16
NCC rallied from a 16-7 deficit at halftime to defeat Corbin .  Mark Kelly scored on TD runs of 8, 1, 46, and 1 yards.

DeSales  33    Prestonsburg  20
DeSales erupted for 20 unanswered points in the final quarter to earn the victory.  Myles Poole led the offense with four touchdowns.

Class 3A Playoffs

Breathitt County  20    Russell  17
The Bobcats rallied from a 10 point deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat Russell .  Channing Fugate scored on TD runs of two and four yards to fuel the comeback.

Class 4A Playoffs

Lexington Catholic  35    Bell County  16
The Knights hand Bell County their first loss of the season on a cold night on Log Mountain.  For a complete write-up of this game, click [here].

Harrison County  31    Greenup County  30
Aaron Newby ran for 161 yards and two touchdowns and Jarrod Sharp added 138 yards to lead the Thorobreds to victory.  Hank Whalen kicked a 23 yard field goal for the winning points with less than eight minutes left in the game.

Lone Oak  55    North Bullitt  33
Lone Oak trailed 19-0 but roared back behind QB Corey Robinson to earn the victory.  Robinson completed 33 of 50 passes for 348 yards and five touchdowns to extend his national record to 86 touchdowns on the season.

Warren East 54   Fairdale 20

Class 5A Playoffs

Highlands  52    Letcher County Central  12
Highlands RB Josh Conner ran for TDs of 41, 14, and 50 yards to lead the Bluebirds to victory.

Owensboro  35    Oldham County  22
The Owensboro defense came up big tonight, forcing seven turnovers and making two big goal line stands.  RB Yorrell Shemwell gained 148 yards on the ground to lead the offense.

Lincoln County 43   Johnson Central 22

Class 6A Playoffs

Louisville Trinity  50    Henry Clay  14
QB Will Stein threw six TD passes to lead the Shamrocks to victory.   For a complete write-up of this game, click [here].

Boone County  45    Shelby County  35
Boone County rolled up 411 yards on the ground and was led by Cory Farris with four touchdowns.  Shelby County QB Alex Matthews had another big night through the air completing 27 of 53 passes for 397 yards and TD strikes of 24, 9, 25, 7, and 10 yards.
