Lexington Catholic (3-1) vs. East Jessamine (4-1) September 29, 2006

Lexington Catholic has rebounded from an opening game loss to St. Xavier to notch three consecutive victories.  QB Tyler Hancock has completed 75 of 110 passes for 934 yards with six touchdowns and four interceptions.  Wes Caldwell has 24 receptions for 330 yards.  Ben Revere has 17 receptions for 229 yards and two TDs.  Revere has also returned two punts and two kickoffs for touchdowns.  Shane Israel has carried the ball 55 times for 355 yards and five TDs.

East Jessamine has been victorious in four of five outings including back-to-back shutouts of West Jessamine and Western Hills.  The Jaguars offense has been led this season by Sr. RB Rex Hager.  East Jessamine has dropped three consecutive decisions to Lexington Catholic by scores of 54-7, 40-24, and 28-21.

Lexington Catholic raced out to a 37-13 halftime lead on their way to a 44-29 victory over East Jessamine.  East Jessamine refused to fold after falling behind 44-13 and scored 16 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.  RB Shane Israel led the Knights tonight with three TDs on the ground and a TD reception.

Lexington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and rolled up 468 yards of total offense.  The Knights lost a fumble, had a pass intercepted, and were penalized 10 times for 86 yards.  East Jessamine had 13 first downs and 344 yards of total offense.  The Jaguars lost a fumble, had two passes intercepted, and were penalized four times for 37 yards. 

Shane Israel led the Lexington Catholic gound game with 126 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries.  Tyler Hancock completed 20 of 30 passes for 294 yards with three touchdowns and one interception.  Wes Caldwell caught six passes for 53 yards and a TD.  Ben Revere added three receptions for 97 yards and a TD.  Will Letton led the Knight defense with nine solo and two assisted tackles.

Ryan Hager led East Jessamine's ground game with 80 yards on six carries.  Rex Hager added 61 yards on 11 carries.  Quincy Richard recorded 56 yards and a TD on four carries and Matt Whitley added 53 yards on seven carries.  Ryan Hager completed four of 12 passes for 77 yards with an interception.  Rex Hager caught two passes for 53 yards.  Lee Gillespie led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Ryan Hager added six solo and two assisted tackles.
