Victor Anderson ran for 168 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Tigers to victory.

Madison Central   33   Paul Dunbar   7
The Indians recovered three fumbles to snap a four game losing streak at the hands of the Bulldogs. 
 
Lafayette   28   Jeffersontown   14
QB Logan Bunch passed for 290 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Generals to victory.  Bunch threw two TD passes to Tommy Gifford and one to Chris Tune.  For a complete write-up of this game, click [here].
 
Tates Creek   27   Ballard   20

Belfry failed on a two point conversion attempt in overtime, allowing Ashland to escape with a bit win. 
 
Clay County  55   Evarts   12
Clay County soph. QB Zach Lewis lit up Evarts for 512 yards and six touchdowns through the air.  Lewis completed 21 of 29 passes for the night.
 
Scott County  57   Woodward (OH)   28
Scott County led 30-0 at halftime on their way to an opening game victory.
 
Lexington Christian Academy   28   DeSales   10
LCA rallied for 22 unanswered points in the second half to claim the victory.
 
Newport Central Catholic   20   Newport   0
NCC RB Michael Vicars ran for 169 yards on 26 carries to lead the Thoroughbreds to victory. 
 
Rockcastle County  74   Bourbon County   6
Rockcastle County defeated Corbin 2-0 last week but scored 11 TDs this week in a rout of Bourbon County.  The Rockets returned three interceptions for touchdowns.
 
Covington Holy Cross  27   Covington Holmes   26
Covington Holy Cross trailed 20-0 after the first quarter but scored 27 consecutive points and held on for the victory.  Holmes pulled within one, 27-26, in the final period but failed on a conversion pass.
 
Breathitt County   39   Madison Southern   12
Breathitt County led 13-12 after three quarters but exploded for 26 points in the final quarter.

QB Trenton Fields threw for five touchdowns including three scoring strikes to Jamaal Pickens in the Yellowjacket victory. 
 
Cincinnati Elder  13   Covington Catholic   3
Elder captured the victory despite 24 tackles including 17 solo tackles by LB Sam Flynn of CovCath.  Covington Catholic could not crack the scoring column after a first quarter field goal by Shane Popham.
