Madison Central (1-1) vs. Tates Creek (1-1) September 3, 2004

Madison Central opened the season with a 45-14 victory over Bryan Station but was defeated 31-7 by Dunbar.  Coach Kenny Turner's Indians have been anemic on offense so far this season as they have been held to 300 total yards on offense in their first two games. 

Coach Mark Willoughby's Tates Creek Commodores opened the season with a 21-14 victory over Clark County.  Tates Creek lost to North Hardin 25-16 last week as they allowed two kickoff returns for touchdowns.  The Commodores ground attack has been led by Brian Williamson and Kenzale Bell

Madison Central averaged an eye-popping 10.2 yards per carry and rolled up 388 yards on the ground in a 28-7 victory over Tates Creek.  Madison Central raced out to a 21-0 lead at halftime as they held a 316-96 edge in total offense at the half.  Madison Central managed a 430-273 yard advantage in total offense and had three players rush for over 100 yards.  The Indians were penalized seven times for 41 yards while Tates Creek was flagged eight times for 65 yards.

Madison Central spread the wealth around on offense tonight.  Paul Warford carried the ball 12 times for 109 yards and scored on a 62 yard run.  Andrew Mathis gained 108 yards and scored on runs of 33 and 55 yards on seven carries.  Ronnie Letcher had 103 yards and set up a TD with a long 79 yard run on seven rushing attempts.  Dylan McMaine got into the act with 55 yards and a two yard TD run on three carries.  Derek Warren led the Madison Central defense with six solo and three assisted tackles. 

Tory Bailey led the Tates Creek ground attack with 108 yards and a TD run of five yards on 13 carries.  Brian Williamson added 83 yards on 20 carries.  Brad Willoughby carried the ball 14 times for 61 yards.  Eric Choat led the Commodore defense with four solo and five assisted tackles.
