Lafayette (3-1) vs. Bryan Station (1-3) September 17, 2004

The Lafayette Generals have only given up 28 points this season and have only surrendered two touchdowns in the last three games.  They have recovered three fumbles and intercepted six passes.  QB Jered Patrick has completed 59 of 109 passes for 747 yards with four TD passes and four interceptions.  Tony Rawlings has led the Lafayette ground game with 254 yards and two TDs on 63 carries.  Hunter Petit has paced the defense with 18 solo and 11 assisted tackles. 

Bryan Station has given up 28.5 points per game this season and has surrendered 754 yards and 10 touchdowns rushing in four games.  The defense has recovered 11 fumbles and intercepted four passes.  Brian Bland has led the ground game with 139 yards and two scores on 19 carries.  Chris Tichenor is leading the passing attack with 28 of 75 completions for 415 yards with three TDs and three interceptions.  Jamuan Andrews is leading the receivers with 12 receptions for 133 yards and a TD.  Lamont Lawson has caught nine passes for 188 yards and a score.  Brian Bland has recorded 16 solo and 10 assisted tackles on defense. 

Lafayette dominated play on both sides of the ball tonight as they shutout Bryan Station 26-0.  The Generals held a 329-60 advantage in total offense while holding Bryan Station to only two first downs with one of those coming on a fake punt.  This was accomplished despite Lafayette QB Jered Patrick going down with a knee injury in the first quarter and safety Jared Leedy leaving the game with a knee injury in the final period.  Trey Stilz got his first minutes as a varsity QB and did an effective job, completing six of 11 passes for 81 yards with one TD and two interceptions. 

Tony Rawlings led the Lafayette ground game with 105 yards and two TDs on 15 carries.  Jered Patrick completed five of six passes for 91 yards before he was forced to the sidelines with an injury.  Enrique Shaw led the receivers with five receptions for 75 yards.  The Lafayette defense came up big and have now just surrendered two TDs in the last four games, recording two shutouts so far this season. 

Bryan Station's QB Chris Tichenor completed six of 17 passes for 45 yards and was intercepted three times.  Jamuan Andrews led the Defender defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles, plus an interception.  Brian Bland recorded seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Corey Blackburn was credited with seven solo and one assisted tackles including four stops for losses of 17 yards.
