Class A Playoffs

Beechwood 46    Fairview 22  
Beechwood handed Fairview their first loss of the season.  There were heroes galore for Beechwood as Dustin Menterey rushed for 116 yards and three scores while Adam Peach ran for 189 yards and a touchdown.  QB Jeff Wera threw for 117 yards.  Fairview's Chris Jennings gave a great performance as he ran for 159 yards and a TD.  Jennings also scored on a fumble recovery and added another TD on an 85 yard kickoff return. 
 
Newport Central Catholic 42    Covington Holy Cross  20   
Kevin Smith led NCC with 220 yards and TD runs of 14 and 67 yards on 27 carries.  Smith also caught a 47 yard TD pass from QB Sam Diehl and added another TD on a 30 yard interception return.

Class 3A Playoffs

Boyle County 47    Southwestern 0  
QB Brandon Smith threw for four touchdowns and added another on the ground as Boyle County improves to 12-0 for the season. 
 
Oldham County 28    Lexington Catholic 24
Brandon Gathof scored three touchdowns to lead Oldham County to an upset victory over Lexington Catholic.

Mason County 21    Rockcastle County  19  
Mason County utilized the scrambling ability of Dustin Grutza (95 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries) to eke out a victory over Rockcastle County. 
 
Pulaski County 82    Waggener 68
This game set a state scoring record that had stood since 1913.  Pulaski County QB Cole Draughn ran for 303 yards and six touchdowns.  Draughn added 187 yards and three touchdowns through the air.

Class 4A Playoffs

Paul Dunbar 38    Lafayette  7   
Dunbar's rock solid defense held Lafayette to 87 yards for the evening and Bobby Vyverberg ran for 161 yards and two scores to lead the Bulldogs.  QB Davis Stanley had TD runs of 4, 20, and 5 yards. 
 
Madison Central 30    Henry Clay  21  
Madison Central rolled up 415 yards on offense to defeat Henry Clay and advance in the playoffs.

Ballard 30    Seneca 15
Ballard raced out to a 21-0 lead and intercepted five passes on their way to an upset victory over Seneca.
