Y.A.C.

The Youth Advisory Committee is for teens and other young people to get involved in the library.

This committee was formed during Teen Read week in October 2000.

The activities they have participated in thus far are as follows. Writing and producing an original Halloween one act play performed at Story Hour, performing a puppet show at Christmas, choosing books for the Young Adult Collection, providing goodies for the library Valentines Bake sale, decorating and publicizing the National Library Week Poetry Reading, and planning activities for the Teen Summer Reading Program.

Anyone interested in participating in making the library a better and more fun place to be, please feel free to attend any YAC meetings and activities.

Upcoming Youth Advisory Committee Meetings:

May 2001

Saturdays from 9 to 1:00 (anytime during this time, don't have to b e here 4 hours)

Youth will be helping get the summer reading program ready. This will include making copies, making bookmarks, posters, preparing mailings, etc...
