The John Ono Lennon Memorial

There was a man,
Long ago,
Strong of heart and soul.
He sang his songs,
He was shot to death,
And died out in the snow.

What was the part
Of this man
That caused someone
To kill?
Was his cries for "Peace!",
Throughout the land,
The reason his blood was spilt?

Let us sing a song,
For an era that's gone;
Let us sing for days gone by.
Let us imagine our potential,
And remember looking glass ties,
So his songs will never die

There was a man,
Long ago,
Strong of heart and soul.
He sang his songs,
He was shot to death,
And died out in the snow.

And he died out in the snow.
