Old McArthur Cemetery

US HWY. 50 McArthur, Vinton County, Ohio
Established 1810

This cemetery was transcribed in April and August 2000. The conditions of the cemetery are awful! Some stones are completely buried in weeds and others covered in grapevines. Some are just laying against a big tree far away from the ones they represent. Others are stacked 3 and 4 deep against others. I am on a mission to have this cemetery completely cleaned up and declared an Historical Cemetery with all of the Veterans of the Revolutionary War, Civil War, Spanish Americal War, and the War of 1812. If you would like to volunteer to clean this cemetery in the Spring of 2001, please contact me.
