Lucy Sergent, who is blind, rocks her sister Bobbie Jean to
sleep. Great devotion and family feeling among the parents and children
in this family was evident. The older children helped the youngsters with
their lessons; the boys always walked home with their younger sisters from
school; the boys brought home nuts from the woods for the younger girls,
