Elkton Road Church Of Christ Youth Group

As a youth group we do many things. We not only go on fun trips but we also do a lot of community service. We visit nursing homes, help with the area Children's Fund, and other various activities. Some of the fun things include going to Winterfest in Gatlinberg, Tn., Youth Days in Lexington, Ky., and Celebration at KY Dam. We have youth devotionals we call Space Invaders every other Tuesday, and a something we call Sunday Night's Secret--no one knows where we're going hence the word "secret"-- once a month.

The youth group has grown greatly in the past couple years, not only in size but in unity. We've become a close knit group that has our share of laughs and good times while we learn more about Christ.

All this wouldn't be possible without our fearless Youth Team. It's composed of parents and other church members that like to be involved with the youth. Our part time youth minister is Rick. He and his wife, Jackie, devote tons of time to planning and carrying out all our activities.

This summer we have a new youth intern. His name is Matt. He's originally from Tenneessee but attends Faulkner University in Alabama where he'll be entering his sophomore year. We are definently blessed to have him! The theme he came up with for this summer is Discipleship. We'll be studying it and trying to put it into practice as best we can this summer.
