News from AHBA Trial - May 15th

Yes, we drove all the way to Michigan for this trial after I swore I would never make the trip again! And, I was really glad I did. Gracie has been suffering with allergies that have affected her breathing, she's wheezy most of the time but is on medication but you couldn't tell she was sick that weekend. We had a fairly low turnout so both trials were condensed to one day. For started ducks, there were 6 entries for each trial and three of those were mine! For the morning trial, Luke did a so-so job, Chance was zoomy (yet again) and Grace was fantastic! We ended up with Luke in 4th, Chance 3rd and Grace 1st and Grace got High in Trial with a very nice ribbon and gift. The afternoon trial Luke got 2nd (wow!), Chance was 3rd (more zoominess) and Grace was first, of course, and got Reserve High In Trial.

The ducks were very nice and the trial hostess worked very hard to put on this trial. We met lots of very nice people and got to see my first Finnish Laphund work (and did very well!).

Chance's rescuer, Carol Strotheide, was going to come out and see him run but could not make it so that was disappointing but did get to meet
