You haven't witnessed power until you've been in the presence of Wind Catcher. Not only is "Bull" impressive in size, his gentle, adoring personality is something you'll never forget. Usually, I don't like to work with horses over 17.0 hands, especially stallions, because if they get out of hand and are disobedient, it can have fatal conclusions. I was sceptical when Vanessa first showed me Wind Catcher for that reason. Then, when Bull walked over to me and snuggled his gigantic head against my chest, my heart melted. I had found the perfect stallion.
I haven't been training Bull for very long, but so far I've found that he is always willing to work! He has huge gaits that simply glide over the dressage arena. Extensions come easily for him, although he has a little trouble with the collected trot and walk. He is my best Musical Freestyle horse because he seems to enjoy himself. Whatever the music is, Bull is reay to be the perfect dance partner.
Before I bought Wind Catcher from Vanessa, she had been working on his jumping. As I was free jumping him one day, I asked my hunter/ jumper trainer, Warmblood what she thought of him. She said "I like him. He is very good with his knees and uses his back well. He is very talented and I think he has great potential over fences." I have entered him in ony a few jumping competitions, focusing more on dressage than jumping, but I have been pleased with his talent. I have no doubt he will sire foals that excell in dressage and jumping.
