World Prayer Revival Page

I Said A Prayer For You Today

I said a prayer for you today and I know God must have heard
I felt the answer in my heart although He spoke no word.

I didn't ask for wealth or fame (I knew you wouldn't mind)
I asked Him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind.

I asked that He'd be near you at the start of each new day
To grant you health and blessings and friends to share your way.

I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small
But it was for His loving care I prayed most of all.

This was a prayer on a card from The Omaha Home for Boys it seems fitting for this page of prayer
and I wanted to share it with you.

Welcome to my Homepage... my name is Brad Holt and I believe in the power of prayer. I travel all over the United States working with gangs and homeless people. I feel the Lord has called me to go out and reach people. One of these ways is a World revival that I am planning to be held in Athens, Georgia. You might wonder why I have started this, at one time I was a broken spirit, my walks in life were on a darker side, though I had been raised to believe in church, I fell away from those beliefs.. though I was only ten I began to wonder the streets, taking drugs, attitude problems and no care for the Lord. After about three years of this one day I felt a need to change, I walked into a church and there I accepted the Lord once more as my savior, not saying that my life has been easy since that time or that I did not stumble and fall along the way but never again did I lose sight of Him. As the years have passed I felt a calling to do something with my life, I pray daily for answers as to what I am to do and though I do not always recieve the answer I expect, the Lord has led me into a ministry of prayer and talking to gang members and the Homeless. Recently I have felt and even deeper calling to do something with prayer..... there have been many studies on what the power of prayer can do, it has been proven that the ill who have been prayed for recover much quicker than those who have not been, it has also been shown that if someone feels down. lonely or forgotten.. if you talk to them and pray with them their outlook on life greatly improves. The Lord had greatly enriched my life and I wish to enrich others and share in my knowledge of the Lord!

*Footnote* I have been asked some questions about what I mean when I say "World Prayer Revivial", Do I mean that people from all around the world will be there? I have sent out invitation to all, this will be an open revival where everyone is welcome ,if they can come then that would make me very happy,what I want from this is the uniting of people in prayer for not just the problems here in the United States but for all people of the world, a gathering of hope, fellowship, praise, worship and song along with intense prayer.

"I Bow My Head"

Every day I bow my head and pray to the Lord above,
Bless the ones so much in need of help, understanding and love
send the guardian angels to wrap them in their protective wings,
Please Dear Lord I ask you to do all of these things. Guide in all the
daily strife and help me do whats right.. lead me Lord I will follow
in what you ask me to do.. Oh my dear sweet Lord I shall always love you!

These are two poems written by me, I wanted to share them with you.
Time Is Near
I am old is this life.
I have lived more than most have,
I have seen more history than some remember,
I have seen the movement of GOD about as much as any one has.
This body is old and is pushing it's limit,
I have about every sickness it can get,
My eyes are bad enough where I cannot read the bible.
My mind is on the blink of leaving,can't think good anymore,
My feet need help walking, I need help bathing, I need help eating, I need help in breathing.
My vocal cords are shot,I can hardly talk now , nor sing.
I used to deliver a sermon and stomp and snort and shout from the pulpit!
Now,my body is old and time is near, near for me to go.
Here lately I have heard GOD talk to me more than any time before,
He tells me son..the ole ship of zion is coming,it's almost time to get on board...
Thousands have boarded already..next stop your place.
I tell him LORD take care of my wife,family and friends.
Let them know all this is possible,because I believed in a hill called Mount Calvary.
As I gently close my eyes to go home,I can see angels standing over me with spread open wings saying,
Come now the ship is here,the port call has been given.
I look at my wife one last time and say:
Dear,I have always loved you and will go home loving you,I will wait for you at Jordon.
I look at my other family,and say I have lived a good life to the fulliest of GODs' command,
I also will wait for you at Jordon. As I take my last breath of air,
I can now see the ole ship of zion and at the door is the *MASTER* saying...
you're home now son,welcome to the land of milk and honey.
I gently go on board never more to return to this life.

Amen!

Don't Cry
Someday you will come and :
I will be sad
I will be hurting
I will be crying
but don't cry...
for Jesus is with me.

Someday:
You will come to visit me
and I will not be there...
you will look for me at my hang outs
my friends
my church
my prayer room
you will ask at my home...
where is he?...
they will tell you he is not here any more:

Don't cry:
just look over to chilly Jordan ,
you will see me crossing it with;
Matthew,Mark,Luke,John and all the other saints.
NOW:
if you are still crying for my loss,
then come and join me at the table of the lamb,
for there is room for you take my hand
as I stretch it out for you and come along.

BUT:
if you're still not ready to come,
don't cry for me,
for you see...
I will be where there will be no more sorrow,
no evil,no crying, no death...
for I will be kneeling at the feet of JESUS washing them and thanking him for saving me...
and above all for bringing me home to him.
