CHILD IN HEAVEN

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. The child asked God,
"They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to
live there being so small and helpless?"
God replied, "Among the many angels,  I chose one for you. Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you." The child further inquired,
"But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile
to be happy." God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for
you everyday.  And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."

Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when
people talk to me if I don't know the language?" God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with
much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak." "And
what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?" God said, "Your angel
will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.

" I've heard that on Earth there are bad men. Who will protect
me?" God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's
life." "But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore." God
said, "Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way
to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you." At that moment
there was much peace in heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the
child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's
name."  "Her name is not important. You will simply call her "Mom."

Wildflower

She's faced the hardest time you could imagine

And many times her eyes fought back the tears

And when her youthful world was about to fall in

Each time her slender shoulders

Wore the weight of all her fears

And a sorrow no one hears

Still rings in midnight silence in her ears

Let her cry for she's a lady

Let her dream for she's a child

Let the rain fall down upon her

She's a free and gentle flower, growing wild

And if by chance I should hold her

I should hold her for a time

But if allowed just one possesion

I would pick her from the garden to be mine

Be careful how you touch her for she'll awaken

And sleep's the only freedom that she knows

And when you look into her eyes you won't believe

They way she's always paying

For a debt she never owed

And a silent wind still blows

That only she can hear, and so she goes

Let her cry for she's a lady

Let her dream for she's a child

Let the rain fall down upon her

She's a free and gentle flower, growing wild

And if by chance I should hold her

I should hold her for a time

But if allowed just one possesion

I would pick her from the garden to be mine

Your Angel Knows

And will wrap you in an Angel hug
To let you rest till your weariness is gone.

On days when you're down
Just feeling so blue
- Your Angel Knows -
And will tenderly take you in her arms
To cherish and help cheer you.

On days when you're hurting
Really feeling that pain
- Your Angel Knows -
And will wrap you in a blanket of love
To give you courage and help keep you sane.

On those nights when you're lonely
And there's no one to be found
- Your Angel Knows -
She'll gently enfold you in her wings
To give comfort and let you know
she'll always be around.

And on the days when you're happy
Things are going just right
- Your Angel Knows -
She'll smile and say a prayer of thanks
And give you an Angel hug so tight.

OUR CHILDREN

Such vast beauty in a small frame
Full of childish innocence
Yet wise beyond their years
So open, trusting and bluntly honest
Bursting with unconditional love
Unimpressed with status and wealth
They are colorblind when choosing friendships
They create laughing hearts
They can capture your soul with a pout
Tug at your heartstrings with a glance
Lead you to heaven with a hug
Holding their hand strengthens your courage
Tucking them in strengthens your love
Protecting them protects your life
They are a warm, fuzzy feelings covered in mud
The wildflowers in your garden of hope
They are the faith you build your dreams with
Give them golden wings with which to soar
Far above the rainbows of life
They can lift us out of the shadows
They are the candles of our being
How brightly they shine and illuminate our lives
They are the windows of our future
God Bless them all
