WELCOME TO LAURIE & VINCE'S PLACE

Laurie and Vince met in a chat room on March 1, 1998 called City Pub at Talk City and exchanged e-mail addresses. From there we chatted from time to time and talked on the phone (for an average of 6 hours or more at a time) and sent each other e-mail (cards & letters). As the days went on we started chatting more and more,every single day. On may 17, 1998 Vince went to see Laurie in person and it was love at first sight. Laurie lives in Michigan and Vince lives in Kentucky. The miles between us did not matter to Vince so he came to see Laurie every weekend which was a 6 hour drive.

Vince and Laurie fell in love with each other and got engaged to be married on June 13,1998. The wedding date has not been set yet, but we hope it will be soon. We love each other deeply and wish to spend the rest of our lives together and start a family of our own.

UPDATED AUGUST 15, 1998 GUESS WHAT?? On August 15th, 1998 we got married. We went to the Honeymoon Mansion in New Albany, Indiana. We are living in Louisville, Kentucky, Vinces hometown. The Honeymoon Mansion is a very old mansion built in the 1800's. It was very beautiful. For our honeymoon we went to Nashville, Tennessee.We spent some days at the pool getting a tan. We both got burned a little. We saw some sights too like the wax museum and we played some miniature golf. (Laurie won the mini golf games, of course:-)) The days were very hot with temperatures in the 90's. Our hotel had a hot tub. It was very relaxing. We had a great time:-))

NEW UPDATED July 15,1999!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On December 7.1998 Laurie found out she was Diabetic and also that she had high blood pressure. That was very hard news for Laurie to deal with. She would have to lose some weight and watch what she ate. Her blood readings were in the normal range for quite awhile untill April of '99. Then she began to get high readings and low readings, but mostly low ones where she would feel really dizzy and have hot sweats and just feel terrible in general. So she bought some glucose tablets and took them when she felt that way and after taking them she felt better. When she went to the doctors the next time the doctors lowered her medication which has helped her out. Laurie has also lost 16 pounds since December 7th of last year. Over the past month Laurie has been feeling very tired and just basically bad. With ear infections and also fluid in her ears which has been making her feel dizzy everyday. She has also gone to the doctors and got medication and had to call her doctors again because it wasn't helping her. She actually felt worse so the doctor prescribed some new medicine for her to take and she still has the dizzy feeling. She may have to go back to the doctors again. With summer comming she wants to feel good and enjoy the days. Laurie has been controlling her sugar and high blood pressure (glucotrol XL 20 mgs and prinivil 20 mgs) very well now. We are wanting to start a family really soon as long as Laurie's health is good for it. It will be a HIGH risk pregnancy. She will also have to take insulin for her sugar and make extra sure that it does not go too high or too low. We will keep you updated on what happens and Laurie's health. ANOTHER NEW UPDATE~~JULY 15, 1999 Laurie has gone to her Gyno in June and he gave her the ok to get pregnant. We have been trying since June 14th. Hopefully we can give you good news soon:-))) Please cross your fingers for us and we do want to have a baby really soon. Laurie would just love a little girl but either one will make Laurie and Vince very happy. We will love it whether a little girl or a little boy.

FEBRUARY 9, 2001 UPDATE Well we have been trying to have a baby with no luck what so ever. I guess we should start to realize that we are not going to have a baby. We were thinking about adoption, until we saw how expensive it was. We did start to take classes in September, 2000, through the state, but we had probelms with our socialworker, so we quit that till after the holidys were over. Now the holidays are over and we are not sure what we are gonna do. We both really want our very own baby. I have always dreamt about what a baby of mine would look like. I was really a very cute baby, i even had white hair when i was little, lol. Well if we decide to do anything else i will let you all know.
