Kevin Smiley
Kevin Smiley 6'6" 185lbs. SG/PG Louisville, Kentucky (Allegany Collge, Maryland). Smiley has developed into a really good basketball player, after spending two years at Junior Colleges. At Valley High School, he averaged 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists as a senior at Valley, gaining all-region and all district honors. After his career ended at Valley, Smiley enrolled at Sullivan Junior College in Louisville, Kentucky. There, he averaged 8 points and 4 rebounds off the bench playing with other Division 1 signees. Sullivan dropped their basketball program and Smiley decided to transfer to Allegany Junior College in Maryland. Kevin averaged 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals last season for Allegany, helping them to the National Junior College tournament. Kevin averaged 16.9 points over the last 13 games for the Lions of Allegany. He played with 4 other double-figure scorers. He shot 49 percent from the field, 34 percent from the three-point line, and 80 percent at the free throw line. Most people that have seen Smiley play, compare him alot to Nate Johnson, although he shoots and handles the ball better, and also plays outstanding defense. Kevin was considering West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Gerogetown before signing with the Cards.
