On a warm August afternoon, two friends took to the woodlands in search of a legend. Armed only with a Jeep Cherokee and a camera on loan from one young man's mother, they put their faith in God and sought Dog Creek. Some time later two rolls of film and some Polaroids were found, some too gruesome to be shown here. These are their pictures...

This is the orifice where the two entered with only the hope of someday exiting.

Another equally chilling angle of the wretched opening.

Being chased by a pair of what we think to be headlights one of the young men managed to get a

shot of those in their pursuit. It was scribbled in the journal of some vines that drew the blood of one

of the men. The ones in the upper righthand corner of this picture are thought to be those same vines.

As they fled in fear they came upon a fork in the road. However the path they chose proved almost impassible

at points. They could only thank God for their trusty Jeep Cherokee and the advent of four wheel drive.

Having finally reached Dog Creek Lake our heroes realized that they had no choice but to turn and fight this

evil that had followed them this far.

Initially the fear had them paralyzed. Then fight turned to flight as Bratch, seen here, ran for his very life.

After regaining their senses Trav and Bratch returned to the Jeep. Unfortunately the road home was a treacherous one. Though hard to tell from the photograph shown here, the Jeep was forced to go forth on only three wheels.

At times it seemed that the road would be too much for the Jeep, even in four wheel drive.

Even as they neared their escape their followers were not dismayed and their pursuit continued.

This is the last known photograph of Trav. To this day his parents refuse to believe he is dead since his

body is yet to be discovered.

Despite the fact that it is hard to see here, this is Bratch's last photograph, taken with his beloved Jeep.

In the end, their fight was a futile one. Missed by friends and family these young men died bravely...

YEAH RIGHT!!!
