Courthouse Records available for
Todd County, Kentucky Researchers

It is fortunate that no disasters such as fires, floods, or tornadoes have ever destroyed any of the three courthouses that Todd County has had since 1820. The first courthouse was used only a few years. The second courthouse, constructed in 1835, is at the center of the public square in Elkton. It served as courthouse until 1976, when the present courthouse was built:
Marriage Records, 1820-present
Deed Records, 1820-present
Will Records, 1820-present
Court Minutes, 1820-present
The order books for the circuit court are still at the courthouse, but when the courthouse moved in 1976, all the old, original bundles of cases were sent to the State Archives in Frankfort.
