GOOD OLD FAMILY RECIPES

Alice's Taco Dip
Alice Richie (Roscoe's daughter-in-law)

2 Lb. Ground Beef
About 3/4 Cup Jalapeno Peppers
1 lb. Velveta Cheese
2 Packages Taco Seasoning Mix

Brown Ground Beef in Skillet. Drain. In Microwave or Crock Pot - Add Remaining ingredients until cheese melts. Serve with taco chips

Cousin Helen's Snack Mix
Helen Foster (Cousin Alice Richie's Daughter)

1 box Oyster Crackers - Kroger Brand
1 Cup Oil
1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Dill Weed
1 Package Ranch Dressing mix

Mix all ingredients (except Crackers) With oil. Add crackers. Stir well. Store in air-tight container. SERVE.

Spiced Zucchini Bread
Joyce Harris- Cotten (Roscoe's daughter)

1 ½ cup Flour
3/4 cup Brown Sugar
½ cup Raisins
½ cup Chopped Nuts
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Grated Nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon Ground Gloves
2 Large Eggs
½ cup Vegetable Oil
1/4 cup Milk
1/4 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 Large Zucchini, about 1 cup

Grease Loaf pan. Heat Oven. Mix flour, brown sugar, raisins, nuts, baking powder, soda, nutmeg, cloves & cinnamon. Mix Well. Beat eggs, oil, milk, vanilla, stir in zucchini. Stir egg Mixture into flour mixture until blended. Bake 50 - 60 minutes until wooden pick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack @5 minutes. Remove bread from pan, completely. Cool on rack before serving.

Ma Ma,s Bar -Q- Ribs
Mary Frances' recipe

2 lb. Ribs
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
½ cup Sliced Onions
½ cup Water
1/4 cup Vinegar
1/4 cup Chili Powder
1 cup Tomato Juice
1 Tablespoon Paprika
1/4 cup catsup
pinch Cayenne Pepper
2 tablespoons Brown sugar
½ cup Chopped Celery
2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

Cook 3 hours in moderate oven

Joe's Sweetened Oven Glazed Chicken Breast
Joe McKenney (Robert's son-in-law: Deannie's husband)

4 Chicken breast halves
1 can Campbell's New Italian Tomato Soup
1 teaspoon Water< >1 teaspoon Vinegar< >1 teaspoon Flour
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon Brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon pepper
cooked noodles

Remove skin from chicken. Place in 2 quart oblong baking dish, arrange chicken. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients. Oven bake for additional 30 minutes until juice runs clear. It will serve 4. Serve over cooked noodles.

Virgie's Mmmmm good Biscuits

You take some self-rising flour and a hand full of lard. Work it up real good (the flour). Then mix in your milk. Bake them. You got some good eating. No measuring of ingredients, you just have to know how to do it! Hungry Jacks biscuits can't compare!
